Philippe Coutinho is a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Spurs. Sunderland stopper Vito Mannone has been ruled out for at least three months, Ryan Bertrand faces a late assessment after returning to training, whilst Arsene Wenger has still to decide whether he will start Mesut Ozil at Watford.

Philippe Coutinho is rated a doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Spurs. The midfielder has picked up a hamstring problem and was only able to take part in light training yesterday. Emre Can (ankle) and Divock Origi (cramp) are also both uncertain to feature. The pair picked up problems during the midweek cup win over Burton Albion and will be assessed, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Vito Mannone has been ruled out for “a minimum of three months” with elbow ligament damage, David Moyes confirmed earlier today. John O’Shea remains out with a hip problem, though the Black Cats are hopeful that Fabio Borini will recover from a toe injury in time. Lamine Kone will be assessed later today.

Arsene Wenger will make a late decision on whether to start Mesut Ozil in Arsenal’s clash with Watford. The Gunners boss also admitted that Olivier Giroud is “a fraction behind physically”.

Joe Ledley and Wayne Hennessey are “struggling” to be passed fit for Palace’s clash with Bournemouth. Alan Pardew has also conceded that Christian Benteke is likely to start on the bench due to a lack of match fitness, with Connor Wickham leading the line.

Watford boss Walter Mazzarri has conceded “it’s nearly impossible” that he will field all three new signings, Daryl Janmaat, Younes Kaboul and Roberto Pereyra from the start against Arsenal. Isaac Success is available for selection after overcoming a hamstring complaint.

Mark Noble is expected to recover from a knock in time for West Ham’s trip to Man City. Slaven Bilic says “maybe one” of Dimitri Payet or Manuel Lanzini will be ready for the Etihad. Havard Nordtveit is almost certain to miss out with a foot problem.

Nampalys Mendy (ankle) and Jeffrey Schlupp (muscle) are both unavailable for the visit of Swansea. Claudio Ranieri remains optimistic that both could return immediately after the international break.

James McCarthy, Darron Gibson and Tom Cleverley are all expected to recover from minor knocks in time for Everton’s home clash with Stoke. Seamus Coleman has stepped up his recovery from an ankle issue but remains on the sidelines.

Swansea’s club-record Borja Baston remains unavailable for the weekend trip to Leicester due to a thigh problem. Neil Taylor will feature for the Under 23s this evening and will also miss out against the Foxes as he builds up his match fitness.

Ryan Bertrand is back in full training and will be assessed ahead of Southampton’s clash with Sunderland. Jeremy Pied (knee) is ruled out, though Oriol Romeu has recovered from the knock that forced him off against Man United on Friday night.

Hugo Lloris is still sidelined with a hamstring injury for Spurs’ clash with Liverpool, though Kevin Wimmer has recovered from a similar complaint. Mousa Dembele serves the fifth of a sixth-match suspension.

Jack Butland and Glen Johnson remain sidelined for Stoke’s trip to Everton, though Mark Hughes refuses to rule out Xherdan Shaqiri, who has yet to train this week due to a calf complaint.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Thoughts on Valencia at 5.5 with Carroll and Sakho out?

West Ham looked pretty toothless last week, though I suppose that could change with Payet and maybe Lanzini coming back

Not guaranteed a start - Fletcher looked impressive when he came on v Astra last night and would expect him to start ahead of Valencia on Sunday.

I'm not convinced of Pogba as a fantasy asset without seeing him a bit more first. I never like defensive midfielders. He could be a gun of course and then you've gotten on before the rest

Pogba won't be a DM, Moanie's said so. Plus after that 90 mins I have no doubts. I think Hojb is an overlooked differential. Providing Oriel is fit and playing DM, Hoj will be CM and i think is good for plenty of assists. For me, he and Capoue are remarkable value.

My first draft had Shaw and Valencia as a United double defence but I felt Poggers along with Zlatan will be an absolute machine so I'm happy to put my faith in that double-act.

The only part I'm unhappy about is downgrading Heaton to Jaku. I did that because I had had Amat and Love, but Love is due to be dropped and I needed to upgrade my 4th defender.

Downgrading Heaton to Jaku is not a problem, play Foster each week and dont rotate. Doesnt work.

Yeh, I got it wrong last week and fluked 10 points for Heaton cos Valdes was out. I was tossing up between keeping Foster or Heaton. Gone for Foster due to next few fixtures but I reckon Heaton will get more save points.

It's a tight call. I had the armband on Ibra until today. West Ham's woeful performance in the Europa tipped it for me - Kun up against a tired and demoralized defence as opposed to 11 happy tigers lined up on the goal line.

Yup, price drop was unlucky. He's been brilliant but no FPL points. Nice to get him in at 7.4 here. 🙂 Good luck.

Tadic, despite not owing him, could be quality.

Mahrez / Vardy I think could do the business.

And lastly, I think Boro are going to do well at the Hawthorns so maybe Negrado.

How many of those do I own: zero!

I need ibra in but need to find money for it. Do I downgrade:

    A) Lamela
    B) Long
    C) Townsend
    D) Mahrez

If Long I would get Stuani and if Lamela or Townsend I can only see Capoue as a replacement. Is this wise?

Seems to be a lot of concussion on my earlier post

This is not my bench. 3 of the 4 will start. I was asking which 1 to bench.

Now I'm confused as to whether people meant bench walker or start him as a result

    Hi guys!

needs some help. I don't want to waste a FT but I don't really see much of an option unless i drop Mahrez.. Is it worth just subbing out Marc Wilson for Amat for +0.1 ?

    I have 2 FT and 1.0 IDB

    Forster
    Friend, Evans, Shaw,
    Hazard, Townsend, Mahrez, Capoue
    Aguero, ibra Gray

subs: Heaton, Stones, March Wilson, Leko

I'm getting Oscar out for a hit. It will probably be Mahrez as I've had my eye on him since the Arsenal game. But others are tempting me. Who would suggest?

    a) Mahrez
    b) Ozil
    c) Tadic
    d) Mirallas

    Cheers
