Fantasy Football managers have already been enjoying the words that can be found in the latest book ‘Wasting Your Wildcard’.

Written by regular site contributor David Wardale and fully endorsed by Fantasy Football Scout, it was released today and is available to purchase with Waterstones.

Published by Penguin’s respected sports imprint, Yellow Jersey Press, it is packed with hints and tips from some of the best Fantasy managers out there – and it’s already garnering high praise.

This is what you had to say in the comments section of our website:

Saint Steve-O: “Received my copy of ‘Wasting your wildcard’ yesterday, after reading opening couple of pages, I know I’m in for a good read.”

Nice to Finally Michu: “Heading to Waterstones on my lunchbreak today to pick it up, can’t wait to read! Congrats to all who contributed!”

AlbrightonDKnight: “Birthdays or Christmas sorted!!”

Snazzy Viking: “Great news. I will give it a read the moment it comes to my doorstep 😉”

raoulduke71: “My copy of wasting your wildcard arrived a few days ago, great job guys!”

We’ve also had a look at social media to see how it’s been received so far.

Have you got your copy yet? If so, let us know what you thought of the book in the comments below!

Fixtures for him and others I have in front of him, plus his crap August record. Though personally I think it's probably just coincidence that he does crap in August, but still.

          Ederson, 4.0
          Bailly, Lowton, Cedric, 4.0, 4.0
          Salah, Sane, Jahanbakhsh, Lookman, 4.5
          Kane, Firmino, Wilson

If Lookman not nailed I thinking 6.5, 6.0 mid (schurrle + Richarlison).

No, weakens team too much with Salah and feel one of Kun/Auba is the better way to go.

        • 12 Years

        No.

12.5m is too expensive for a player who looked jaded, half-injured at the WC.

Better options available to start with such as Auba, Aguero, Firmino

    4. Pieterke30

      Dont think so.
Think he will have a great season on their new and smaller pitch (compared to Wembley). 25-30 goals.

But hope that his August record + not so great pictures will allow me to wait for my GW4/8 WC to bring him in.

In a world with NoSalah, how does this look as a contrarian play?

    Leno | Patricio
    Bailly | Cedric | Jagielka | Tomkins | Peltier
    Sanchez | Mane | Sane | Sigurdsson | 4.5
    Aguero | Firmino | Reid

Alternatively, Sanchez and Mane could become Salah and Mkihktaryan if i decide not to gamble

He didn't feature after being sent off near the end of the season. Going off the forums and pre season they reckon its between Jags, Keane and Holgate. They are also expecting to sign someone too.

    Ederson
    Emerson Bailly Wan-Bissaka
    Salah Mane Richarlison Jota Murphy(CAR)
    Firmino Morata

    Peltier/Schelotto/Kamara

    - 4.0M ITB, Mane and Firmino > Hazard and Kane. Will start with Haz/Kane if they look like starting gw1 tho

    Thoughts?

    Few points on Pool

    - Clyne has left the tour for family reasons. This coincides with Trent's shortened holiday and being available from next week.
    - Matip remains injured with the severity unknown. Gomez is expected to stay at CB with Nat Phillips being cover.
    - Keita has a neck strain and is expected to miss the next few training sessions.

Looks like Trent could start the season, which didn't look likely before today.

United assets to become City players once things in their midfield get a bit clearer.

    How does this look?
    Patricio, Boruc
    Robertson, PVA, Shaw, Bennett, Wan-Bissaka
    Salah, Jota,Sanchez, Silva,Chalobah
Auba, Arnie, Ings (if he moves)
    0.5 itb

with the 0.5 I could hold it,upgrade the keeper, upgrade one def, Silva to Mahrez or Chalobah to Cairney. Sanchez is in while he plays a striker but could soon be changed t KDB. Ings is provisional to if he gets a move or I could downgrade him if anyone can suggest a 5.0m playing striker.

    Mourinho on klopp

" But maybe this season finally you the media demand that they win. You, I think have to be fair and now you have to demand and say the team with investments you are making last season, that you made in January, that you make now, that will probably be the record of the Premier League this season, a team that was a finalist in the Champions League, you have to say you are a big candidate, you have to win."

His transfer activity reflects how what his tenure is alluding towards. No direction, short term-ism and minimal
          room for development.

You only have to win if you play boring football. Fans are much more tolerant if they lose the title but smash a team 4-1 every other week.

Mourinho always starts this to deflect from his own team's inadequancies.

#003 - Back on de Gea..

    de Gea
    Robertson | Mendy | B. Davies | Alonso
    Salah | Sane | Richarlison | Cairney
    Aguero | Arnautovic

    4m | Wan-Bissaka | Ward | 4.5m

    .5 ITB

    Thoughts? 🙂

Looks good but aren’t you concerned by Mendy’s lack of minutes?

I’d probably prefer to go Ederson and Bailly if you’re set on a Man C/Man U defender

Mendy is the man who wins when he doesn't play tbf 😀

I'm still toying whether to do de Gea -> Alisson but I'm also waiting on the Chelsea situation.

I'm not keen on Cairney either tbh, might switch to Hughes who looks decent.

Even if they do all play, I can’t see you getting off to a flying start.

You are traditionally slow starters and lots of players returning late/on different routines due to different return dates.

Kane is the man and he looked shot at the end of England’s campaign.

It’s all about squad depth for Pep.

Frightening talent available, their bench quality will be insane.

Lots of late returners from the WC so Mahrez looks nailed on over the first few gameweeks at least.
