          It's tough, but a nailed on 200pts is harder to come by than KDB and Eriksen so I'll be having them from the off.

    I’ve had Robbo and Peltier in my team for a while now, but is a LIV defender really a good idea given their fixtures?

    WHU, cpl, BHA, lei, tot, SOU, che, MCY

    I think it’s very likely they concede in tot/che/MCY and probable they concede in lei/WHU/cpl (tricky away games + goals in that WHU team). That only leaves 2 decent fixtures from a defensive POV in the first 8. Not sure it warrants 6m, when 2 x 4.5 rotations (eg Tomkins & Cook below) offer much better fixtures and save 1m.

    CAR, whu, EVE, SOU, LEI, NEW, CRY, WOL

    Mendy is different given how great the City fixtures are. Perhaps the way to go is him and 2 x 4.5 rotations?

      Don't really agree, City is the only game they're sure to concede in. They have the most expensive Keeper and defender in the world and should be super-tight at the back.

      For me a Pool AND City defender is the way to go.

          Plenty. They paid for the best and now have one of the best defences in the PL. 2nd best, imo. So the only defenders likely to score higher than VVD and Robbo are at City. Alisson will be 2nd to Ederson (or DDG).

            Arguably for sure but I don't think you should reference transfer fees as a basis for performance. I may be reading it differently to how you intended though. Time will tell but it's all still very speculative at this stage in the game ofc.

        I agree they have a good defence, but they will still concede. It’s tough to keep out City, Kane & Co, Hazard & Co etc. They also have a poor defensive record away from - only kept 5 clean sheets last season.

      I like this thinking Jinswick, I have been looking at ways to make savings elsewhere to get Mendy in and risk tearing up my current team to do so, perhaps I should just straight out swap Robbo to Mendy and forget Liverpool defense for now.

      You are looking 5 GWs away... you have 5 transfers and potentially a Wildcard by then. Robbo is very attacking and has Salah and Mane and Firmino to assist. Pool has the second best defense in the PL.

        I'd say the best atm, double up on TAA and Robbo here. If TAA nails a league spot (and I think he is favorite to do so) he will be amazing value, he was consitently a good creator, can take set pieces and has good BAP potential.

        Yes, but I’m not planning to WC early and I’d rather not be using FT on defenders.

        I’m not saying they are bad options at all - fixtures aside I think Robbo (possibly VVD and TAA also) are a great option. It’s mainly the fixtures which are the concern, which must be taken into account.

    +.5 for two rotating 4.5 keepers rather that just 1 4.5 and a 4.0

    Mkhi from GW3 so don't judge on initial fixtures more of a budget structure question.

        Exact problem.
        So I had Erik and Mane
        Was going Erik KDB after the first 2 fixtures.
        Erik could always come in for Mane down the line.
        I liked Salah KDB and a 9.5 mid.
        You still think this is better - 9.5 with Frazer
        Or a 7 and a 7.5?

    Can someone tell.me.what makes Jota so special that he is not comparable to Richie/Knockeart/Gray/Gayle/etc... They were all superb in the championship and crap in the PL. All of a sudden people expect Jota to outperform his Championship stats somehow 😀
    And they doubt Richarlison who has shown that he has PL class under Silva.

    After the CS I swapped Rich for Bilva and still feel two ways about it, but really dont get the Jota hype...
