As another Gameweek draws to a close, we’ve crunched over the month of February to pinpoint the best performers moving forward.

Itโ€™s important to take stock as we move into a new month and a potential time to Wildcard, while also noting players that shouldnโ€™t be overlooked purely because they have a blank in Gameweek 31.

Each metric takes into account the last four Gameweekโ€™s so bear in mind that Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Sheffield United have played just three fixtures in this period.

All statistics are available in the Members Area and as this article uses them so extensively, only those signed up for Fantasy Football Scout Membership can access it in full.

Liverpool have looked really flat the last couple of games.
Hope that the Dgw is announced so that there is a better captain pick than Salah for this week.

For those that missed the scoutcast, watch here.
We discuss chip strategy, FA cup implications, DGW29 (if it happens), form vs fixture and more. Joe is particularly brutal this week.

Is it possible that Villa v SHU could go into 31 if SHU lose tonight and MUFC win on Thursday?

    @BenCrellin
    Yes
I think AVL vs SHU will move to GW31 if Newcastle and Reading win tonight and Man Utd win on Thursday.
I think it would happen because it would mean that Villa definitely wouldn't need to move a postponement to a UCL night

      Probably
Should be 9 or more points from West Ham (goal and 3bps) and then 2 points probably from Man City
      So 11x2 = 22 points

What do you guys about the following strategy?
Particularly relevant if dgw29 goes ahead and you like me don’t have Aubameyang

WC now and prepare both for dgw29(probably no more than 3 players) and bgw31. Just checked- it’s possible to get 9 players (incl. 3 from Liv) and add 2 with 2 FT after 29 and 30.
    FH 34
    BB 37

Think the value of FH in 31 is minimal as you can just wc now and hit both dgw29 and bgw31 and then plenty of time to prepare for BB37

Find it quite funny how a large portion of people on here seem to think that following a spoon fed chip strategy designed by better managers than themselves makes them less of a casual. It takes literally 0 brain power to copy someone else, and information is everywhere these days.

You are lower than traditional casuals.

What if they don't mind being casuals? What if they don't have the same amount of time to do the research? Have you ever been to a university? In a university you always take the research made by others into consideration.

You throw around the word casual with negative undertones. Have it ever crossed you, that you are to be considered a casual as well? What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Not all heroes wear capes. You and the likes of Greta, the willingness to make a stand is admirable.

My point is being a casual is like being average. Nothing wrong in being average / casual. Not everyone on here strives towards becoming a world class fantasy manager, some of us are just here to have fun. Nothing wrong with being a casual. To be frank, most of us on here are.

          1. fedolefan
            • 11 Years

I think what he is saying that is a bunch of people on this site (most) use the word casual to imply that people zooming past them in the ranks are inferior at FPL than them. He's also stating that just copying someone else's strategy and transfers which is also what a lot do, doesn't mean they are better than those they call casuals.

        2. FC Hakkebøf
          • 9 Years

Being a casual likely means you spend more time on your job, education, family etc. The world is not about FPL. Priorities, you know?

I think I do. And that's why I raise my voice. Because people clearly don't know the meaning of the word if they use it in a negative manner.

In adittion, everyone is calling everyone a casual. Clearly underlines the point that no one really grasp the meaning of the word. It's toxic to create an enviroment on this site where casuals do not feel welcome.

Man, I have no more energy. Sorry. If you want to pretend that some use the word casual incorrectly because they don't understand the meaning, then I'm not sure I even want to engage.

You are looking past the point. I know for a fact that people use the word in a negative manner, but it is toxic as f*** and it is totally wrong to associate the word casual with something that is negative. Remember all the talk about mental HEALTH on here? Using the word casual in a negative manner definetely do not help in anyway.

But sure go ahead, back out. I do not wish to try to engage you if you do not want to be engaged.

When is the bigger DGW likely to be? 34 or 37?

If there’s dgw29, best time is to fh in dgw29 or in dgw37?

      Wouldn’t FH29.
City too risky to double up on in attack.

      Much more options in 37.

Don’t have any city or ars, that’s why

I’m probably only going to have KdB.

Ask yourself, which City attackers would you be confident starting two matches in four days?

Do you think City will keep a clean sheet against both United and Arsenal?

Do you think Arsenal will keep a clean sheet against City?

If I was going to FH

I’d go Leno, KdB, Sterling, Pepe, Aguero, Auba....but wouldn’t be confident of big returns.

I wouldn't want to lose the transfers that I have already done (Jota and Sarr in) - but I also do not have any MCI or ARS players

          Can do Ings+Mane > Auba+KDB for a risky -8

    Final nail in Lundstram's coffin.

Full rest for Fleck & Norwood while Berge is subbed on 99'. 120+ mins in them tired Swedish legs wont help Lundstram's starting chances vs Norwich.

Berge again I thought played quite poorly
Feels harsh on Lundstram that he lost his place

Berge was a highly sought after youngster last season, by big clubs, so must have talent.

Lundstram really is a system player, nothing more nor less. Berge probably offers more to SHU on the whole.

Dude Lundstrum has already been cremated as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone think Jesus is now worth a punt? Agüero will surely start the home leg vs RM.

Not over Auba, Jimmy, Jota, Ings, DCL... there's more reliable options.

Jesus is a headache to own.

So pool and palace are playing 31 then

    That means I have

    Guiata
    Taa Cathcart Taylor
    Salah mane traore dendo
    Jimi

Fh31 looking less and less likely??

        Absolutely.
I’m up to six after tonight, and that’s enough to rule out any thought of FH31 for me

Just need Spurs to beat Norwich so we get Everton players too

      Pope
      TAA / Boly
      Salah / Mane / Sarr / (Richarlison)
      Jota / Jimi

No reason for the FH now
