Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for the 2020/21 season are still available at the pre-season cost of £17.50 – but time is running out on this offer.

Subscriptions will rise to the regular season price of £19.99 after August 31 so, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up before that point in order to secure the best-value rate.

The yearly fee of £17.50 works out at an equivalent of less than £1.50 a month as, instead of expiring on June 1 as was previously the case, these rolling annual subscriptions now cover a full 12-month period.

That’s better value than our rivals are offering for the equivalent all-access Premium Membership package.

SIGN UP FOR THE NEW SEASON HERE

If you prefer to dip your toe into the water rather than plunge right in, however, we are offering rolling monthly subscriptions for just £2.99 per month.

We’re continuing to reinvest resources into the site, building a team of talented contributors for the new season (from all of our Career Hall of Fame top three to the returning Mark Sutherns) and working on an exciting new design for the Premium Members Area, complete with new tools and features.

We’re also dishing out £2,500-worth of prizes in the 2020/21 campaign – more details of that available here.

Our video below runs down just some of the benefits that subscribers will enjoy in 2020/21 and previews what you can expect the Premium Members Area to look like after its makeover:

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?

Well, you’ll be joining legions of other Fantasy managers by signing up, including former Fantasy Premier League winners Adam Levy, Simon March and Tom Fenley.

Thousands upon thousands of FPL bosses take advantage of our subscriptions and sign up every year, using the stats and tools to aid their Gameweek planning.

PRO PUNDIT ARTICLES

You’ll get exclusive content from some of the best Fantasy managers in the business, including Hall of Fame top three Fábio Borges, Stephen Harrap and Darren Wiles, ex-champion Simon March, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman, three-time top 200 finisher Lateriser and six-time top 5k finisher Zophar.

If that wasn’t enough, Fantasy Football Scout’s founding father, Mark Sutherns, is returning to the site to supply articles and video appearances throughout the season. Again, only Premium Members will get unrestricted access to Mark’s content.

RATE MY TEAM AND PROJECTIONS

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools are both live for the new season, so you can head over there now to start building your teams ahead of 2020/21 and see how many points our algorithm thinks you’ll score.

These features were both refined last year, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a Hot Topic.

SEASON TICKER

Also live for the new season is our Season Ticker.

Premium Members can sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Disagree with the Fantasy Football Scout difficulty ratings? Add you own to customise your experience.

FLAT-TRACK BULLY TOOL

Our Flat-Track Bully tool was a new addition last season, with subscribers now able to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.

This will help you pinpoint players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams, like Raúl Jiménez famously did in 2018/19.

HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISONS

Compare both teams and players head to head, with over 100 key statistics to study side by side.

PLAYER AND TEAM STATS

There are hundreds upon hundreds of player and team statistics available, which can help guide your Fantasy transfer decisions.

MATCH ANALYSIS

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots and chances created, among other statistics.

CUSTOM STATS TABLES

Premium Members can also create custom tables based on the data available and share them with other subscribers.

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

TESTIMONIES

2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy was a paid-up Premium Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in an interview after his triumph.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a Premium Member here. A full FAQ on our Premium Members’ Area is also available here.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the Premium Members’ Area, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Anyone still passing up on Doherty?

"In the final third, Aurier had more touches, received more passes and completed more passes than any team-mate after Mourinho was appointed head coach in Gameweek 13."

Dog going to thrive under Mourinho IMO.

From memory Aurier seemed prominent in attack.

goal. 5 assists. I would hope/expect more from Doh.

Whatever I've read i seen him being box to box CM or CM with attacking prowess remarks..

Midfield diamond is possible. But United full backs aren't that good to provide width on wings by themselves

A diamond would involve leaving out one of Martial, Rashford, Greenwood so it's a no go for me.

CM is best thing about United squad tbh if we look at depth.

If he can play in pivot alongside Pogba I'd eat my words happily

Midfield diamond will remove your wingers. United hardly play football without wingers

                Full backs can provide width.

Anyways Greenwood hardly hogs the white line.
Only Rashford plays like a pure winger now a days ...

But as i said most important factor would be Full Backs which ain't United's strong point right now IMO

Rashford a pure winger? Let me try and sell you this guy who can play on both sides and occupy at least two defenders and significantly add to your puny penalty count

One downside is that you’d lose out on the sell on clause 🙂

Also he’s swapping red and blue shirts with Lionel 🙂

                  There’s a weird sense to this 🙂

                      Oddly Zaha makes sense

He’s equally adept on the right as the left. Amazing impact player if nothing else. He’s a pure wing - something United do not have.

SAF didn’t get it wrong Moyes did.

Huge talent and ambition. Think of all the promising wingers who have completely disappeared in the meantime - they didn’t have to carry a team like Palace

Also think about the point about how he invariably takes two defenders out. What would happen if Martial Bruno et al had one less defender .,,

That's why we need a pure winger. Not an inverted one.

On the face of it but I’d think he’d jump at it personally - he wants a big stage. Different place nowadays with no Moyes and old guard freezing him out

                        All deeply theoretical of course.

Really curious who if anyone will come in. Suspect he may be off to the continent. Bizarrely he’s the one Palace player who has had 90 minutes twice

          My pleasure.

Doucoure + Pogba combo in midfield would have been better imo. Doucoure already has the PL experience & would have been cheaper but Donny is also a great signing. Just not sure if he will quickly adapt to the PL

            Yeah
Even doucoure is more box to box than being a DM.

United need a good strong CDM IMO. Let's see

            1. Party time
              5 years, 11 months ago

You guys play possession type of football. So the DM is needed only in the big games but honestly Doucoure + Pogba will do. They are both physical. When one attacks the other will sit deep, those two shouldn’t be a problem for United.

Even Bayern make use of 2 central midfielders. Goretzka can play CM, DM, AM, Box to box. His favorite is box to box. Thiago is naturally not a DM too

Fair enough although I don’t think Doucoure is as bad as you think he is but you are right United can get much better. I only mentioned Doucoure because he will be cheaper and he could easily do the job imo

Has played as a #6 in the past and one of the De Boer brothers (can't remember which one) thought it would ultimately be his best position. That isn't his typical role though.

At United I would expect him to play across all three of the midfield positions. Not sure Solskjaer wants a pure DM anyway.

        That's a good perspective.
If he can play in pivot 2 then United have pulled a Rabit out of hats here. 40m€ is cheap too

Aye I think he's a canny signing for United given the way Solskjaer currently sets up.

Plus he has a nice combination of youth (at 23 years old) and experience (170+ games for Ajax including some top end CL games). For the money mentioned it's a good deal.

I'll do 2 ways of answering: by statistics and by gut feeling.

Statistics: Donny vd Beek has played 26 matches at DM, less than 10% of his matches. Whereas he will be able to play DM, his strenght lies in popping up in the enemies box at the right time and being involved in the attack as much as possible. He is composed on the ball and has a good awareness for space. Therefore he is an ideal box to box player combined with his great stamina.

Gut feeling: I don't think ManU will spend 40m pounds for a back-up player - or successor of Pogba. I'll compare him with another Dutch player who you all will know: Wijnaldum. Before Wijnaldum became a CM/DM at Liverpool, he was a CAM at Feyenoord, PSV and i think even Newcastle. Liverpool does play with 3 CM's, but would you trust Wijnaldum to play alongside Pogba for United? I get why Frank De Boer (his former coach) has said he is ideal for a 6 (for a dominating team). His stamina and battling attitude are perfectly suited for it while he is able to boost the attack too.

Conclusion: Yes vd Beek will play alongside Pogba in the long run. It will take some time to adjust tho, so he won't be a FPL option i'm afraid.

Wait, would you not trust Wijnaldum?

I most definitely would. I think OGS would too hence i think he'll play alongside Pogba in the long term. Because spending 40m for a stand-in Pogba/Fernandes is, as pointed out, not helping the team nearly as much as getting a new player to play alongside Pogba

        Wow.
        Thanks for that !
        Take the upvote.
I'm very happy that United have solved one issue in the squad then. If he is good & plays in pivot with pogba, amazing 😀

        Fingers crossed now.

I think it will be a very good investment for sure. FPL wise it isn't great cause he'll just be like Wijnaldum, a great player but a bad FPL player. But i think ManU will have a top worthy midfield/attack. Only needs a couple defenders and you're competing for the title. Bar injuries of course.

Why would Van Der Beek go to United when Barca want him?

      1. Jekori

Supposedly Gini hasn't signed a new contract at liverpool with Koeman wanting him badly. Now Koeman is at Barca, they might make a bid for him. And Liverpool can get Thiago Alcantara as a replacement. I think the only team not benefiting will be Bayern.

I was thinking this could be a shout actually, the BB into WC is a pretty gung-ho approach but considering u wont be able to afford united and city assets on a BB anyways and it gives u another good reason to WC early to allow for a FH BB as such and then get in Manchester players as well, like it

      1. OldBenKenobi
        • 9 Years
        5 years, 11 months ago

That’s the idea. Set up for GW1 only (including BB) then GW 2 ship out and bring in United players/City too. BB in a double GW is overrated imo

        1. Tempestic
          • 8 Years

            • 9 Years
            5 years, 11 months ago

Not too mention the only time you can use a BB and a WC at the same time is GW1. I feel DGW are just as unpredictable as GW1. It may not pay off but I’m trying to be more aggressive this season. Also plenty of ppl are benching expensive players in GW1. Feels like a chance to get a good start

            1. Tempestic
              • 8 Years
              5 years, 11 months ago

Yeh the project restart was such an ideal situation last season for the same thing, but ur right in any normal season gw1 is the only opportunity. Well I mean if you want aggression this is certainly the way to go about it 🙂 Yeh for sure I like the thinking, very different to the herd as well.

My only concern is the transfer window not closing till October time with late transfers potentially throwing a spanner in the works. We'll see but if this Messi situation is sorted out b4 gw1 I might be joining you.

          Like the idea

Down in the mouth about DGW Bb generally - you end up (or I do) twisting your team for one week with net effect of hobbling it later. In principle like idea of WC out of BB to set up a strong 12 and not weakened 15

          1. Tempestic
            • 8 Years
            5 years, 11 months ago

This is exactly it, u can ruin ur first 11 with a BB tying up either value or transfers on ur expensive bench

              5 years, 11 months ago

The one turn off for me is that week 1 is so suboptimal as it’s the lowest your TV will be all season. Best to BB when you can have quality on your bench because of late season TV?

If he's priced 13,0+, I would simply ignore. Can't somehow imagine his style of play in City high pressing system... He's getting old and his best is already behind him. Of course, if he somehow starts well, I will reconsider, but not before few gameweeks behind his belt.

Essentially you're saying you think he's not worth 1.5m more than Raheem Sterling?

        Imagine that being your choice.

        Wow.

You will ignore the best player in the world? At 13m?

        Reaaaaaaaaaallly?

🙂 I'd rather say Sterling is not worh 11,5 😉
Keep my fingers crossed for Messi to join PL, as it will make this league even greater. I'm just saying, that we should always try to challenge "the obvious". There might be other routes, also yielding good FPL scores.

Sometimes though, the obvious is obvious for the right reason.

So many people try to look outside the box, sometimes - just look in the box 😉

In principle of course, you're right - at some price point he becomes questionable, and at another point he'd become 'too expensive'

            It's just 13m, isn't that point.

Which premium player are you thinking of getting rid of should Messi arrive at Man City and have a reasonable price tag. For me it's Salah, it feels as though he's been regressing each season and he was pretty poor in Project Restart and didn't exactly control the CS final.

    1. n-doggg
      • 14 Years

Yeah, Salah for me is on the brink. Will probably him that goes for kdb rather than auba

Probably Auba as things stand because of the fixtures but if he's on such great form, Salah then and I'll get Messi in at any cost

I think I wouldn't play him. I'm not sure even he could pull off the points required to justify his price tag. In FPL and in the real world.

So everyone is taking it for granted that Messi will be the highest scoring fpl scorer this season if he joins Man City. I wouldn't say that is guaranteed. Think about his age, never played for a different team or different league. Also the fact he will be heavily rotated at 33 years and Man City points are shared out a lot. Are people just being sentimental about someone who has been arguably the best player in the world? He won't perform forever, just like he was invisible in his last game for Barca.

Given the recent article comparing Son and Kane, which team would you rather go with:

    McCarthy
    TAA - Dier - Saiss - Vinagre - 4.0
    Auba - Bruno - XXXX - Ziyech - Armstrong
    Werner - XXXX - 4.5

    A. Son + Mitrovic + £0.5 for badwagons
    B. Kane + Soucek

Worried Kane might not be 100% match fit given that he didn't play any of the preseason games. Cheers!

Personally, Son - as there has to be a chance he does get a central spot during the games if Kane isn't firing straight away?

Out of position Son is a great option - and he's just 'fair' if not...

      Yeah, I completely agree.

14m is most likely (Ronaldo's peak price?)

It looks quite template which is not bad. If you want to take 1 risk you could free up 0.5M by switching TAA to Robertson. Mane looks better than Salah in pre-season but would be risky.

      Strong enough

I’d hold Son and switch down from 12.0 for Bruno personally.

Not keen on Mitro and prefer Adams for fixtures and team strength.

If there’s 1.5 free add to defence imo. Justin is likely short term anyway and Mitchell good for one or two likely

Really similar to mine so my next comment loses some credibility....

      It's good that.

I would upgrade Davies to Doherty if you're planning on keeping them long term (raise money getting Soucek for the 5.5m)...

Can't knock the rest.... obviously Brewster for 4.5m up top if he moves....
