Brendan Rodgers has pulled the rug from underneath the feet of 4.1% of Fantasy Premier League managers by naming Harvey Barnes (£6.9m) among the substitutes for Gameweek 10.

Leicester host Fulham in one of their most favourable matches of the season so far, perhaps why he has dropped the winger back to the bench following three starts in the last four Gameweeks.

James Maddison (£7.0m) and Dennis Praet (£5.5m) are afforded the support roles in attacking midfield tonight, behind Jamie Vardy (£10.2m), who looks set to truly define the outcome of Gameweek 10 for many.

The Leicester striker was top of the Fantasy Football Scout captain poll last week, emerged as the top 10k’s favourite skipper and collected over a million armbands worldwide for this match.

However, if Vardy is to truly reward the groundswell of support he must do tonight something he done only once in 2020/21 so far: score a Premier League goal at home.

He has 10 attacking returns this season but nine of those have come on the road, the other recorded against Wolves in Gameweek 8.

Fulham are the perfect opponent to face in the face of that quest though. They have given up an average of 1.8 goals per away game this season.

Interest in their assets continues to wane, especially considering that both Tom Cairney (£5.3m) and Aleksandar Mitrović (£5.6m) have been named on the bench, Ruben Loftus-Cheek (£5.9m) and Ivan Cavaleiro (£5.3m) handed the number 10 and centre-forward roles respectively.

Leicester City XI (3-4-2-1): Schmeichel; Fuchs, Evans, Fofana; L Thomas, Tielemans, N Mendy, Justin; Maddison, Praet; Vardy.

Fulham XI (4-2-3-1): Areola; A Robinson, Adarabioyo, Andersen, Aina; Zambo Anguissa, Reed; Lookman, Loftus-Cheek, De Cordova-Reid; Cavaleiro.

Lessons Learned from FPL Gameweek 10

What is the difference between Suarez using that racist term, to Cavani using it? Both uraguaian so I’m intrigued. Do the Man Utd fans that basically lynched suarez think Cavani should be banned?

For what it is worth, any racism deserves a fine and a ban in my opinion.

    1. diesel001

There isn't any. What Liverpool did with Suarez was wrong and Suarez lacked contrition. Suarez, quite frankly, is a bad guy, and it is shown in his actions subsequently.

The fact Carragher now comes out on MNF and apologises to Evra shows how poor Liverpool were back then.

Cavani also did wrong, but at least he admitted it and apologised as did Man Utd.

Cavani has been ignorant and i dont defend him, but the comparison with Suarez shouldn't be used. Suarez was clearly arguing with Evra and pinching his skin so he used the term with the intention of offending. Cavani used the term responding to a friend and had no malicious intentions. Just purely stupid of Cavani but not being racist.

I think he needs a ban though, maybe not 8 games given the circumstances.

Uruguayans are unenlightened to not see that as racist. Do they see it as an improvement upon worse words or something? That doesn't mean much.

You claim that they are unenlightened and then ask about what it means for them? If you aren't sure, maybe refrain from commenting on it first until you find out?

Also if we'll talk about political correctness, I'm not sure how much reaching conclusions about "Uruguayans" and calling them unenlightened based on the actions of two fit in with that.

        1. Plant Based FPLer
          • 9 Years

I'm going by what Suarez, Cavani and others in support of them seem to be saying... that in their "culture", referring to someone by the amount of melanin in their skin is endearing somehow. It's not. It's stupid. It's pointing out how someone is different when talking to them. Are Suarez and Cavani blancito? That's dumb, too. The "ito" seems demeaning as well. Is it a reference to someone as they were as a child? We're all human. We're all adults. We're 99.999999999999999999% the same, yet it's "cute" or "endearing" to say "hello, there person, who is 0.000000000000001% different than I am. We need to be focusing on working together and our sameness.

You can. Just be prepared for the consequences.

Just because they do blackface in Spain (see Lewis Hamilton) and monkey chant at the black England players doesn't mean we will agree with it in the UK.

I agree this is the case. But it would be disappointing if he didn't get one goal tonight. Fulham are the worst team in the PL. You need to be beating them at home. The chat about him getting a hat-trick etc. is too much hype IMO.

They're awkwardly priced would maybe be a better way of putting it. None of them are performing like premium assets and there's some cheap options performing very well. Chelsea are going to score goals but they have a lot of goalscorers and not really a talisman as of yet (Pulisic could be that if he stays fit and maybe Werner too) - and their goals have been spread about up to now.

    2. JONALDINHO
      • 8 Years

Chelsea are looking very good and they were never going to score plenty of goals against Spurs. Werner has been getting plenty of chances and the goals will come. Ziyech will always be involved too in the goals too. Keep for Leeds and reconsider after

If there's not injury etc. to any other players I might transfer him out for Son on Friday.

I’m getting itchy fingers. Other playing mids are KDB, Grealish and Bruno so would like a Liverpool player or extra Man City.

I think Pulisic and Havertz back are going to add to more midfield competition so Zylch more prone to rotation.

Gonna wait till after the mid week games to decide.

Definitely holding for Leeds, slightly disappointed with his performance against spurs but hopefully he'll deliver. I do think he offers a goal threat in addition to assists. James plays high & provides the width enabling Ziyech to come inside on his left foot & has proven he can score from outside the box. The Werner underhit pass in the game before shows he does also get in the box.

I have no Leicester and so kind of accept the inevitable Vardy Party.

But would dearly love Fulham to at least score with Justin having 25% ownership.
