9 months out for Oršić. That Soton stint carried its jinx with him. Not saying I like the guy, but would never wish an ACL knack on anyone.

Nothing much wrong with it, looks strong. From a personal point of view, I wouldn’t double up on United in the middle unless they sign a decent striker.

      Get well soon.

Looks very good, I’m on double MU midfield too, hard to resist opening fixtures.

A wait and see for Pedro but you could downgrade Chilly and upgrade there?!

I hope alls ok and you get better soon!

Looks great but 5 in midfield might be more fruitful.

Also, last season pretty much showed that at least 1 viable sub is essential and sometimes 2.

Most premier league squads have 2 or 3 options per position and they play in multiple tournaments so rotation and rest is inevitable.

Thanks not sure we need two subs in the beginning of the season, think i will start with just a 4.5defender.

    Food for thought...

Applying Foden's 2022/23 rates of 0.54 goals/90 and 0.29 assists/90, a 2,500 minute season would result in the following campaign:

    15 goals, 8 assists

Tbf he wasn't far off that with 11 goals and 7 assists in 1,830 mins.

Easier to do so with unlimited transfers pre-season!

Did you also read the second thread on minutes?

This jumps into the middle of it. https://twitter.com/4lex_mcfc/status/1684554440190091264?t=IUFdXwwmBG1XvgGVimLRJQ&s=19

          In summary,

          LW: 500 - 1,000 mins - covering Grealish etc
          RW: 500 - 1,000 mins - Mahrez gap.
AM: 750 - 1,250 mins - in the Gundo role.

          Total: 1,750 - 3,250 mins

I did. One thing he doesn't mention - no one is, is the potential role of Kovacic. He's too good to be another Kalvin Phillips. I can see him getting a decent amount of gametime as a less-attacking Gundogan, meaning Foden's either RW or rotated.

Like I say, he's back in my squad - but I'm nervous.

He said he thought Kovacic would play against the better teams in the Premier and Champions League but more defensively and not in the box to box attacking Gundo role.

Foden can play on both wings and as the attacking midfielder with KDB.

Albeit, i think he's selected Salah so is edging towards Nkunku or Jackson in his fpl 'structure' and not Foden.

I'm definitely going with Foden because the compromise with Pedro as the second striker is a stronger bench and 2 playing subs in my squad.

Martinelli could have another great season, but the bench risk is there. Perhaps Odegaard or Jesus would be better, with Nkunku making way to fit either in.

But Nkunku and Martinelli could also both get braces GW1, and send you skyward.

Why is Mbeumo getting so much love on here? He hasn’t scored or done anything that notable in pre season. Yes he may be on pens but Wissa will surely be the main striker while Toney is out.

Better options at that price point imo.

I'm on B. Mbuemo will be a fixture on my team sheet but Pedro is there for bench rotation (rotating with Morris of Luton Town).

Brentford's fixtures are a fair bit better than Forest's so I'd presume you'd be benching MGW frequently. If you're planning on playing both, Forest's fixtures would put me off MGW.

            That's a whole different draft:

            Jason Bourne
John McClane, James Bond, Indiana Jones
Neo, John Rambo, Lara Croft, Ethan Hunt
Bryan Mills, John Wick, The Terminator

Yes indeed. Superb. Bubba Zanetti the only omission of note. Swap for Immortan Joe, who is off to the Saudi league I hear.

Did consider him. Here's the bench, but expect plenty of rotation:

Warrior Woman, Bubba Zanetti, Papagallo, Sprog

Thoughts on this draft? Something slightly different. Having watched Havertz in pre-season I fancy a lot of late runs into the box and back-post goals. Seems a good price. Also fancy Foden to have a great season given City exits.

    Flekken (4.0)
    TAA, Botman, Colwill (Destiny, Baldock)
    Salah, Saka, Foden, Havertz (Nakamba)
    Haaland, Pedro, Wissa

Obvious to say, but Trent, Mo, Haaland puts a lot of strain on the rest and the cracks are showing. Rather spend less on Kai and a bit more elsewhere.

Looks good but will the subs get playing time? Especially when Pedro is rotated.

I think you'll do better spreading the Trent funds across the defence.

Flekken has looked a bit flaky on his positioning etc and needs to find his feet. Brighton were too quick for him and Steele got an assist.

A Brighton keeper looks a better option, but which one starts gw1?

      Not sure about Wissa either.

      But besides that ...

Morning chaps, so my latest dilemma is being able to choose between 5 spots in my team.
I know the shortlist, just racking my brain trying to figure out what my preferred combination is.

Appreciate this is one of those horrible long ones, but if you like state which combination of players within budget you would go for please.

    4 mids of the following:

    A) Rashford (9.0)
    B) Bruno (8.5)
    C) Saka (8.5)
    D) Martinelli (8.0)
    E) Mbuemo (6.5)
    F) Mitoma (6.5)
    G) MGW (6.0)
    H) Andreas (5.5)
    I) Kluivert (5.0)

    1 of these fwds:

    1) Wissa (6.0)
    2) Joao Pedro (5.5)

    Max budget is 34.5m

    Thank you

Yeh that’ll be my choice if I think Wissa and Mbuemo are going to score the same. But I’m not sure they will. I guess if they both have the same goal involvements then Mbuemo would get more points as a midfielder

    B) No

      B

Most will have 1 but you can't say essential given the options in midfield.

Besides Haaland no-one is essential. Not even Estu. with his ownership.

Even Salah is being sidelined this season, so far.
