Now Van Dijk is captain, I wonder if he'll grab the ball for any 30+ yard freekick attempts.

His runs from right back into the inside right channel were interesting against Newcastle in their friendly. He was just offside for one, otherwise he would have been clean through on goal. You'd expect him to be nailed, it's just his position not clear.

TAA's attacking returns dried up in the second half of the season didn't they? With his inverted fb position I don't see him getting back to previous levels and as you say they look very suspect defensively. Bayern's two goals have come from Gnabry receiving the ball on the left wing and being up against no one, since Trent is running around in midfield. It literally looks like Pool are playing a 4 back line positionally, but without the rb

Time to start thinking about a team I suppose.
    Pickford 4.0
    Estu Shaw Udogie Henry Beyer
    Martinelli Saka Bruno Rash Rich*
    Haaland Jesus Mateta

Obviously the * refers to the Kane situation, but Oddschecker has him at 2-3/1 on to go to Bayern and 2/1 ish against to stay, and the bookies are rarely too far off the mark. Could be gold at 7.

    2 questions

    1) Would you rather own Jesus, Martinelli or Odegaard (in addition to Saka)?

    2) Which out of these would you prioritise having? Jesus, Darwin, Watkins or Nkunku

    1. Batman1983
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

      1 - Odegaard

2 - depends on what you're after. Jesus and Watkins offer more security and seem safer options. Darwin and Nkunku are riskier. Personally, I'm going with Nkunku.

    Intrigued by others thoughts on this;

    GK: Pickford, Areola
Def: Chilwell, Gabriel, Estupinan, Bayer, Bell
Mid: Salah, Saka, Fernandes, Diaby, Kluivert (though maybe change to Christie)
    FW: Haaland, Nkunku, Pedro

Few gambles / risks in there but i quite fancy taking a few punts early on

Pedro & Kluivert can rotate, but Bournemouth's fixtures are pretty bad so I think there are better alternatives.

Yeah - not the best fixtures, just fancy someone from Bournemouth to really excel (in terms of value for money) under their new manager.

Also reliant on Nkunku doing well

Yeah, that's the bit that makes me a little uncomfortable. I want either Kluivert or Christie as although don't see Bournemouth doing particularly well overall, think there will be value for their attacking midfielders under their manager.

Chilwell will come out as / when he's injured - but that would apply to anyone (maybe he'll stay fit...)

Something About Mary is probably a bit dated, but was funny at the time. I don't remember much about The Mask except Diaz's red dress.

The "hair gel" is the only memorable part of 'Mary'

It's not really a romcom. Very bad taste comedy. The romance, whilst there, takes a back seat to the crude jokes!

I guess I haven't watched a lot of her films then. I'll check that one out 😆

Me either, that's the only one (except Shrek also) that I really like. Its about a puppeteer who discovers a portal into the mind of John Malkovich (playing himself)

So...this game vs Bayern is just confirming what we alredy know about Liverpool:
    - all attacker beside Salah to rotate
    - Salah to gain his points from assists, but rarely from goals
    - avoid liverpool defence if you hope for clean sheets
