    Currently on WC.

Midfield is Mitoma Øde Rashy Saka Foden

Worth to go Mitoma > Mbuemo ?

Think mbuemo has better fixtures in next 5, and Mitoma is rotation risk when Europe begins. Am I right in this thinking or should I stick with Messitoma?

    Which option looks better ?

With Shaw and Garnacho in my team have to make a move this week now, no choice as ill likely end up with 10 men.

    Plan A.
Gw 3 - Shaw to Gvardiol
Gw4 - Rashford and Garnacho to foden and Mbuemo -4

    Plan B
Gw 3 - Salah and Garnacho to Foden and Mbuemo -4
Gw 4 - Shaw to Gvardiol

In Plan B if Rashford looks poor i will take a hit to get Diaz in

    Ederson Areola

      Nothing glaring IMO

Surely Man City get clean sheets for days to justify Ederson - seems a better option than an actual defender there.

I'm happy to be wrong but everybody be bringing in Nicholas Jackson like "the points will come" as if there's never been a bunch of strikers including from Chelsea that don't ever deliver those expected points.

Tbf not a lot of options this year from top 4 teams.

Jesus, darwin, Kane, were most popular last year and rightly so (bar darwin).

It’s between Wissa, Jackson, Alvarez, Watkins this year. All newish contenders to partner Haaland.

I’m personally going with Jackson because he has good fixtures and is easy to downgrade to either Wissa, Alvarez or even Pedro if he doesn’t perform

He'll score well no doubt but with Haaland the better (C) and loads of quality 6.6-9m mids I think you'll get more points from your squad without him. Provided you pick well of course. I didn't even really consider him in my team.

    Hello Good People

I have 2ft’s and I’m struggling to decide what is most important as I feel my mids are all good and don’t really need changing.

My priorities are in this order but how to bring them in is the question especially the first one.

    1. Chilwell
    2. Foden
    3. Jackson
    4. Wissa

    My team:

    Pickford
    Gabriel-Estu-Udogie
    Salam-Ode-Rash-Mo-Mitoma
    Pedro-Haaland

    Subs: turner, baldock, kabore, Usalu

A bit confused with predicted lineups showing Gabriel NOT starting....with the red card to Tomiyasu and Zinchenko back why would Arteta not use Gabriel. I dread another 1 pt. cameo which would block J Pedro coming first off my bench. Any thoughts Arsenal fans?

    1. GoonerByron
      • 14 Years
      2 years, 7 months ago

All depends how fit Zinchenko is, and if Arteta wants to carry on with Partey as the inverted right back.

If Zinch is fit and starts, Gabriel is 99% likely to start.

If not, it's probably more like Kiwior starts and Gabriel is on the bench again (As in the FFS predicted lineup). Probably 25% chance Gabriel starts if Partey is the inverted RB.

Was going to bench boost this week, but with Shaw out and Gabriel 50/50 to start at best it looks like I won't be able to so am left with a bit of a benching headache. Is this the correct set up for my team?

    Pickford
    Chilwell - Gusto - Estupinan
    Saka - Odegaard - Foden - Mbeumo - Bruno
    Haaland - Alvares

    Turner - Wissa - Gabriel - Shaw

      Yup

Also, I'd advise leaving the BB for DGWs. If you can easily afford a good bench now without a WC to get there or downgrade it after the BB, then you're very likely going to afford a good bench in DGW season... Unless the many good players below 8m all stop firing

Forget about double up triple up coverage nonsense. Asses the players individually, predict their likely and potential output, compare with other attackers at the same price point. How many teammates you own shouldn't be a factor

The alternative would be to rotate Pickford with Turner and then switch Pickford to Areola in GW10... But my guess is that it's Pickford you're about to sell anyway, and I can't argue with that 😀

I'd have started with Flekken if the Raya situation was certain by the GW1 deadline, but yeah... I think I'll give Pickford the next 2 first, as I have other priorities

If they get nothing tonight then the next games seem more difficult: Forest seem tight at the back, Bournemouth away isn’t a given and then Villa. It’s only Fulham (away) that looks a good match before Burnley away and fixtures stiffening

I see Chilwell as my Chelsea attacker. I'd easily have him ahead of every other defender in the game bar Estupinan

Can't say the same for a Chelsea attacker over other options in a 3-5-2. Wouldn't have Jackson or Sterling (the two popular picks) over, say, 7+ other attackers below 8.0m

So, on a WC I’m keeping Salah only because there’s suddenly lack of midfield alternatives. So money is tight

    1. Ze_Austin

Botman. Definitely shouldn't be just 4.5, looking at how Newcastle has started

Also frees up more funds for something like Chilwell to Trippier in GW9 for a cheeky double-up

        Thanks man!

And I’m seriously considering going Ode over Saka, need to do things differently to gain some ground with early WC. What’s your thought on this?

        1. Ze_Austin
          • 7 Years
          2 years, 7 months ago

Ode did outscore Saka last season, without the possibility of pens by then. That said, I'm not sure Saka is *off* pens, as there have been different interpretations of what happened on the pitch last weekend

But Arteta keeps changing things, and I don't know how they will evolve again when Jesus returns

Like last season, I'd just pick and stick. Saka, Ode and Martinelli ended up with little separating them anyway. I've got Saka and I think I'll keep him long-term, unless a glaring gulf arises

Short version: can't decide either 😀

On WC I need to make a call

And I feel Saka is playing far too wide with Nketiah up top. Instead of Alvarez I actually had Nketiah on WC until I found out Jesus is back in training

What midfielders do you have? I started with odegaard and saka and wouldn't drop either atm

Bruh there is so many quality midfield alternatives. Odegaard, Saka, martinelli, mbuemo, Eze, mitoma, march, Diaz, jota, rashford, Bruno, Foden, son, sterling, bowen, Barnes, Diaby...

Solid. Well done keeping rainy day money. I think Ramsdale and Rico is better than flekken and Saliba but there is the Raya risk
