Anyone on WC not considering having an Arsenal defender? The fixtures don't look that appealing and I can FH one in on gw34.

I'm WCing this GW and have two Arsenal defenders in my team. Best defence in the league and if they continue to keep clean sheets that will give them the best chance of lifting a first title in 20 years.

You played FH already? If you don't have it then I think double up makes more sense. Since I will FH34 I don't see a reason why I'd double up on them

I have used FH and see your logic. Also, I dislike Arsenal so if I can jinx them with the clean sheets in the run in it's a win win unless they cruise to the title with 4-1 wins

I'm doubled up on Ars defense. Benching them both this week with games against Luton(H), Brighton(a) and Villa(H) next before they dbl in gw34

I think having one is almost a minimum requirement owing to the Arsenal defence having EO of >100%.

They kept a CS against City earlier in the season so I'm not too concerned about their fixtures.

Regardless of what chips you have left beyond WC30, I don't see why you wouldn't have 1 Arsenal defender on WC i.e. Gabriel as there limited defender options available

lack of home clean sheets in the last two seasons suggests to me it would be better to back against the Arsenal defence.

    Morning fellas. Advice needed.
Have WC and BB available, is my team better constructed to WC in 35 and BB in 37? Leaning that way currently but I need a bit of reassurances.

    Kelleher*,
    Zabarny*, Brantwaithe*, Gabriel*
    Salah*, Saka*, Palmer, Bowen
    Solanke*, Watkins, Haaland

    Neto*, Colwill, Gross, Robinson
    0ft, 0.0 itb

6 doublers for 34, can get to 10 with free transfers

Dubravka > Henderson for another DGW Keeper? If you're BB DGW34 that is.

Almost exactly the same as my team. I like it. I'd recommend either Foden or Saka to Rich/Maddison for one week only and then reverse the move as your GW 31 transfer. Either that it Haaland > Watkins and then reverse in 31

Welcome thoughts on this WC please.... Still have FH and BB to play

    Pickford, Areola
    Gabriel, Gusto, Lascelles, Castagne, Konsa
    Salah, Son, Foden, Palmer, Rice
    Solanke, Haaland, Watkins

Obvious omission is Saka, but to get him, it would be a downgrade of one of the other big hitters

    1. Davemc23

Straight away I would get rid of Areola, Castagne, Konsa and Watkins as they have no doubles. Then, if you have FH for 34 I would lose Pickford, Rice and Solanke also

Don't know what the Team Value is like but something like this woukd make sense for FH 34 BB 37:

        Onana Petrovic

        Gabriel Gusto Lascelles Udogie/Porro Maguire/AWB

        Son Salah Foden Palmer Garnacho

        Isak Haaland Darwin

Sets you up perfectly for the fixtures before and doubles after 34. You can then choose to remove Liverpool/Arsenal to maximise BB 37 if you wish.

I have gone with a similar team to this but have done Darwin > Muniz and squeezed in Saka over Garnacho

Olise was born in England to a Nigerian father and French-Algerian mother, and is eligible to represent France, Algeria, England or Nigeria internationally.

Playing for the French U21's atm (where he got his injury in the summer).

Garnacho is a Spaniard but plays for Argentinia.

I guess in football terms we should call them by the international team the represent, but I hope England don't miss out on Olise.

Similar team to mine with no Haaland but with different players and i dont know what to do.

Bowen to Salah (will be done), to do but could be tempted to WC , only BB left
      5.7ITB
      Neto (Turner)
      Gabriel Moreno Gusto (Estu, Doherty)
      Saka Palmer Foden Son Salah(c)
      Solanke Watkins (Semenyo)

going without Haaland GW33 despite Real Madrid either side is scary, but it cost 8 points in the hockey cokey.

I can go straight to Watkins to him (just) GW31, but no Darwin for Sheff Utd

Those on FH in 34, are you going all-out with 11 DGWers or getting some SGW players as well?

Is selling Haaland to get Salah an acceptable strategy or total madness? If I got Salah I wouldn't captain Haaland anyway, and would look to get him back for Luton at home.

I could go Luiz and Haaland to Salah and any other forward. Salah and Darwin could even outscore Haaland and a mid over the next couple

I'm not sure how strong a fixture Wolves at home is for Villa, despite their injury concerns.

However, the main bit of group think I'm observing is ditching Watkins.

I know he's got Man City and Arsenal on the horizon but those games against Brentford and Bournemouth look v good at home.

I also recall Villa at least starting well at Man City last season so they could compete.

It looks like points could be lost losing Watkins and I'm holding for now. I understand the team value point tho.

    Which move here?

    A - Start Foden, Gibbs-White bench
    B - Gibbs-White -> Palmer (-4), bench Foden

If I don't get Palmer now, I will get him in 32 vs Sheff Utd for free

I would actually start MGW over Foden in option A. Home fixture against Palace with dodgy Hendo in goals

        Yeah

I'm going to end up with all 3 and think I'm sticking with Palmer.

Otherwise toss a coin on Salah or Son, both could go big but I'd wager on Mr Consistent than Mr Ceiling.
