Think the best option is to ignore Salah this week (most will be captaining Haaland anyway)

Then in GW5 sell Haaland (Ars A) to get Salah (c) when he will be most captained.

Given you have 3 guaranteed starting defenders I think I'd go for Lewis. Upside is big and you can cover the risk.

I still have faith in ESR. But around GW6 I will make final decision on him remaining in my team.

You need those players though unless you don't go Haaland and Salah.

No one is convincing anyone of anything. And the reality is that you cant have them all. If you want Salah, Haaland which you should and want another like Palmer, Saka or Son (and probably Foden when he's fit), then maybe Diaz, TAA and / or Jota, then you are going to need a range of 4.0/4.5 defs, 5.0-6.5 mids to compensate and right now, ESR and Rodgers enable a lot of that to happen more than any others.

It doesn't feel like either player has bedded into the league and needs time.

WSR doesn't seem to be playing like a 10 and sitting deeper.

No one is picking those players for hauls, they are picking them to enable players who do haul

They're just enablers for Haaland and Salah. They don't have to score big consistently.

I agree with you.. TV is important to build at start of season. I’m also looking to bring in Pedro.. I’ll be bringing him for solanke who could be dropping.

I did the same with Quansah and Solanke (to Pedro) past two weeks with these kind of ideas in mind.

In your case, as they’re FTs, I’d go for it. As you say, in the unlikely event you have a ton of injuries, you can wildcard.

In my situation, I’m considering Saka and Gordon to Salah and Eze but it would be for -4. Would you do that now or just wait and, if there’s a rise, downgrade Gordon to Mitoma/Minteh etc instead?

I personally would WC and get all the players you want in now, prices are already starting to move & like you say, TV may be more important this year.

I always planned to go in 4, I’ve now committed to Salah & Haaland but can also fit Trent, Robbo & Saka in, if I left it a week or two I doubt it would be possible.

Aggressive play might be the way to go now that you can roll and save FTs.

I was originally planning Havertz or Isak to Watkins. I think I'm happy to hold both. I'm biased, but I'm fine holding Isak for the long term. Then again I went Salah over Saka to start, and get why you'd want to prioritise getting Salah in.
