Which GK would you get? Worth considering Alisson or just aim at Sels?

Your doing dirty on him saying that's luck, he's doing what he's there to do. Stop goals. Not trying and failing to play intricate passes through the lines from his own 6 yard box as 90 percent of keepers are doing these days

He was top scoring goalie last season. Dyche's goalies have always done well. Pope, Heaton...

    Saka/Pedro to Foden/Wood?
    Any other options?
    Sanchez, Fab
    Saliba, Mazraoui, Gomez, Hall, VDB
    Salah, Saka, Palmer, Rogers, Amad

Jeez, if Diaz was a regular starter he'd probably be about the third most owned midfielder in the game. For PPG, he blows everyone else out the water (apart from Salah of course) and he's hauled in four of those eleven games. Unfortunately those five single pointers when he's come of the bench dent his appeal but he's tumbled from 8.1 to 7.4 and started seven out of Liverpool's last nine EPL and UCL games so perhaps those benching's will be less frequent. I think he'll be my Saka swap this week.

He started 7/9 while Jota was injured though right. Even more competition again and with the fixtures more congested than ever you’d expect rotation. 2 slots for Jota/Diaz/Gakpo/Darwin

Lovely when he hauls. But no consistency. Too vulnerable to rotation. Salah is only sure thing. I've been sucked into TAA again but suffering buyer's regret (again). Will give him another outing before reverting to trusted budget picks.

? Spurs just managed three goals against Liverpool, four against United, five against Soton, three against Chelsea.

I think playing for Spurs right now is a very big plus…. Unless you’re a defender for them.

Can’t trust them as a team for results but you can trust that the manager intends to carry on with the same gung ho style… and said it again yesterday

If he does then Kul, Son, Johnson, Solanke and co will all be in the frame. We’ll see.

Is Raùl a sell now? Was planning to keep him for a few nice upcoming fixtures but yesterday was a blow. How did Muniz do, is he likely to be the main starter now?

I also have Cunha (and no Isak) so I can see hits coming to sort all this out.

Couldn't see the Spurs game and any goals unfortunately.

A shame that Szoboszlai got booked and is now on 4th YC. But I'm still considering him as Saka replacement.

Did he get involved in taking set pieces or was he rather shadowing VVD in front of goal?

He played as false 9 kinda like a Havertz role while Diaz was behind him and free to roam. Took his goal well and was always in and around the box but a couple of his assists were lucky and I don't think that's his long term position. Spurs were also stupidly open which suited him, Diaz and Salah with Gakpo very wide hugging the touchline. Defo punt territory for me rather than sound pick.

He was amazing. Playing very advanced, constantly setting the press and bursting forward in support of the attack (no set pieces).

Just be wary as he may get benched in the *easier* Leicester fixture with West Ham and Man Utd on the horizon.

No set pieces. Had a higher average position than usual. Slightly deeper that the rest of the front 3 - but essentially acting as part of a front 4 in attack - more-so on breaks, which Spurs were oh-so charitable in giving up.

We can't trust that he plays that position each week. Also his performances have been underwhelming this season in general so could be easily benched here and there.

The fixtures don't really help with switching out Saka. At least I can easily get to Isak now even though his better fixtures have passed for now.

I guess a 3 week outlook with the new wildcard coming into view is one way to treat it.

Jota but kinda afraid that Lei can be his only start in the incoming run.
Sarr with good numbers recently tho Bou been good defensively.
Foden with lovely fixtures but really expensive and City playing like a relegation team.
Arsenal with good fixtures but picking right mid sounds like a lottery...
Then there are Bowen and Maddison as well...?

I wouldn't be tempted into Man City.

What's the move here? Been a great season so far, and only a couple of captain selections and wrong bench players have kept my team out of top 10k (for instance played Lewis over Aina the past weekend..).

    3 transfers, rank 51k

    Flekken, Turner
    VVD, Timber, Aina, Lewis, VDB
    Palmer, Salah, Mbeumo, Saka, Amad
    Pedro, Cunha, Isak

    Need to address
    A Saka
    B Flekken
    C Lewis
D Pedro most likely, in the respective order.
    E bank

What would be your transfer order and transfer target?

Both decent defences but think they both might struggle to keep one in GW18?

    On the FDR

Man City are an easy avoid. Have Palace really turned a corner?

That leaves Chelsea who most are stacked up with their attacking players.

Then Fulham, Liverpool and Arsenal and possibly Villa.

I don't think that Brentford away should be a red fixture for the attack because there's always goals to be had.

That piques interest in a switch to another Arsenal player, Diaz, Iwobi or possibly Rogers who was head and shoulders the best player on Saturday morning.

A cheaper midfield allows budget to go big up top but normally the value and points are in the attacking midfielders.

Best decide soon if prices are haywire again.

Would you go Diaz or play it safe with Bruno despite the fixtures?

Good morning lovely people. My thoughts on the Diaz / Jota conundrum.

After three consecutive sub appearances (Fulham, Southampton, Spurs), I think Jota will be handed a start in the *easier* Leicester fixture to get some more minutes into his legs.

This doesn’t mean Diaz won’t start either, as Gakpo is now on 4 YC and has started three games in the space of a week, so a rest for him seems logical too.

Nuñez IMO is Slot’s least favoured attacker (I actually think he’ll be moved on next summer), so Jota’s return pushes him even further down the pecking order.

Anyway, long story short, I prefer Jota for the Boxing Day fixture, but Diaz longer term for the subsequent fixtures.

I agree with your analysis, but the fact that we have to ask all these questions and make all these guesses is enough to put me off buying either of them. Also, the one that won't play is almost guaranteed a cameo, so having a strong 1st sub won't matter anyway, as you're not avoiding the 1-pointer.

If your thinking is longer term then absolutely, the smart play is probably to avoid both. However, vs *that* Leicester side, bringing in TAA and another Liverpool attacker for the upside is justified, IMO.

If Diaz/Jota gets 13 points (say 1 goal and 1 assist, 2 bonus points and clean sheet), do you think that is worth 2 free transfers, when for example you can have Bruno against Wolves? For me it's not worth it.

Thanks for this, I’m still deciding between them. Which one would you say is a better punt for someone with an awful rank that’s chasing?

You’re welcome! Jota IMO - the more popular move will be Diaz after his brace.

      Yep

Both Diaz and Salah subbed together around 87 mins also suggests they are up there as the main men. Kept on and then taken off when 3 goals back in the lead.

Liverpool and Arsenal players seem to be the obvious short term picks.

Diaz also affords a better 3rd striker upgrade from Pedro, over Bruno in midfield.

Jesus becomes an option if you want to go there, albeit the Ipswich game would be ideal.

I went with Jota instead of Diaz and instantly regretted it.

    Hope that helps someone.

Had you done the opposite you would have regretted that as well. FWIW I did the same move and am confident Jota starts the next game.

I did Saka to Amad last night. Now he dropped to 14.8, I have exact funds for Vardy to Haaland. I don’t think he’s worth the price, but with those fixtures I think he’s as good as Salah and Palmer. Worth a go?

I have this week or next GW to use my WC1. When should I play it?

    Henderson / Vlad
    Hall / Gabriel / Milenkovic / Davis / Mykolenko
    Salah / Saka / Palmer/ Amad / Winks
    Isak / Jackson / Cunha

    1FT, 1.1m itb

I’m in the same boat. I have double Liverpool and Arsenal defence so I’m saving this week then using wc after Boxing Day.

Your team is as good as it gets tbf. Save your FT and use wc next week

Definitely play it now with Saka out.

No point hanging around... You've got a few days before Christmas and the boxing day deadline too.

If we don't hear anything today, his chances of playing against M. Utd look really good I think.
