That’s your lot for Blank and Double Gameweeks in 2024/25 – there are no more currently scheduled.

That’s because Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City v Bournemouth will stay in Gameweek 37.

Those two fixtures can no longer go ahead on the weekend of Gameweek 37 due to the involvement of City and Palace in the FA Cup final on Saturday 17 May.

But they’ve merely been pushed back a few days into the following midweek and not brought forward into Gameweek 36.

FIXTURE OUTLOOK FOR THE REMAINING FOUR GAMEWEEKS

So, then, a rare instance of four standard 10-match Gameweeks to end the season.

Tom Freeman had a look at the teams with the best remaining fixtures in an article earlier this week, which thankfully is still relevant after today’s announcement.

Lateriser also identified the best players and teams to target in the last month in his latest article on Thursday.

HEADACHE FOR THOSE WITH CHIPS REMAINING

How do you use the Free Hit chip? 4

For anyone who has a chip (or two/three/four) left in their back pocket, today’s announcement is a bit of a blow.

That goes especially so for those with Assistant Manager and Triple Captain chips, given the high upside of a head coach/captain with a Double Gameweek.

Those with a Free Hit remaining would have no doubt been hoping for maximum fixture carnage, too, as they’d have been able to negotiate the transition from Double Gameweek 36 to Blank Gameweek 37 with more ease than those without.

Remaining Bench Boosts would have mostly featured single Gameweek players anyway, so there’s perhaps not as much damage done there.

We’ve put together a list of possible windows in which to use each chip if you still have some remaining.

They've announced that a request has been made so it would feel incomplete to not acknowledge the outcome of the request, no?

Always a chance this could happen, especially once Villa went out. thoughts with those saving a chip for the potential double and the likes of Crellin and Legoman who spent hours if not days calculating the % chance and all those lovely spreadsheets.

I think it's better that people can't rely on others to plan their FPL season. I hope it continues even though I lose out by still owning this silly AM chip

People think the sun shines out Crellin's backside. That's twice he predicted things wrongly this season. He predicted a double or blank early in the season which then got moved to a week he didn't predict.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate his efforts, but people don't seem to realise that he has been wrong on like 1/3 of his predictions this season.

Not good news for those of us who loaded up on GW33 DGWers, with a potential DGW36 in mind as well. I've gone form a chance of 8 players (3 City, 3 Palace, and 2 Villa (if Spurs game was moved forward)) with a chance of DGW36, to 0.

So annoying that O'Reilly isn't a defender on FPL -_-. Watch him be 5.0m defender next season and probably be useless. Or worse(or better if you hate City) they are out the league because of 115.

Cheers for the response mate. I'm tripled up on City following the doubles and don't really want to use an unnecessary transfer. I'm thinking maybe Frank or Glasner (TB) are good starting options?

Not sure about putting it on a mid table team with no table bonus with Frank but Glasner could work

I'm tripled up on palace and City so going to lose KDB and Mateta for a hit . Where would you go after palace first game though. That's a transfer used and you don't wanna be wasting it on another average option. It's such a powerful chip I'm happy to sell KDB as he may not even start and has been poor.

      Arsenal

FH34 was the play, but in a high scoring week it's easier for everyone to play into points.

FH34 wasn't needed for everyone. I would have preferred the doubles and I kept my FH in case of this but still scored 90+, so far, in 34. I'm thinking now that the FH may be useful for Haaland vs sou now.
