Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla are sidelined with injuries picked up at Norwich last weekend. Watford will make a late decision on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness, Micah Richards is a concern for Villa, whilst West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is set for a period on the sidelines.

Earlier this morning, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny might be ready to return for the visit of Sunderland – both face late assessments tomorrow. The Gunners boss admitted he was uncertain over Alexis Sanchez’ likely return date, though Santi Cazorla could be sidelined until March. Kieran Gibbs is back for the Gunners after missing the trip to Carrow Road with a calf complaint.

Micah Richards is a big doubt for Villa’s trip to Southampton – he’s hardly trained all week due to a knee problem. Gabby Agbonlahor is back in training whilst both Jose Angel Crespo and Tiago Ilori are still sidelined. Remi Garde has confirmed that Jack Grealish remains unavailable for first-team selection due to recent off-field issues. Elsewhere, Ciaran Clark serves a one-match suspension after earning a fifth yellow card of the season last weekend.

Slaven Bilic has conceded that the Hammers are set to be without Diafra Sakho for “a few games, definitely” after the Senegal international sustained a thigh injury during last week’s draw against West Brom.

Jermain Defoe and Seb Larsson have both been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to Arsenal, Sam Allardyce confirmed yesterday. Jack Rodwell is also unavailable for the Emirates encounter due to a hamstring problem.

Tony Pulis has revealed that West Brom will assess “one or two knocks and niggles” ahead of their home clash with Spurs. Claudio Jacob sits this one out through suspension, though Chris Brunt is back in contention after serving a one-match ban.

Ryan Mason has been ruled out with an ankle injury for Spurs’ trip to the Hawthorns. Dele Alli is available again after serving a one-match ban, whilst Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli are close to returning to training.

Swansea left-back Franck Tabanou is the only absentee ahead of their Liberty encounter with Leicester.

Quique Sanchez Flores will make a late assessment on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness after the keeper was forced off with a head knock last week. Valon Behrami remains sidelined for the Hornets, whilst Adlene Guedioura is expected to shrug off a minor knock. Sebastian Prodl has returned to training but will not be available in time for the visit of Norwich.

Alex Tettey has recovered from injury and has been passed fit for Norwich’s trip to Vicarage Road.

Leicester’s Ritchie de Laet has been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury sustained in training. Matty James stepped up his recovery from a long-term knee injury with a midweek run out for the reserves but is likely to miss out due to a lack of match fitness.

Cheick Tiote and Jamaal Lascelles are both unavailable for Newcastle’s home clash with Arsenal. Mike Williamson – who was recalled from a loan spell at Wolves to cover for Lascelles – has picked up a hamstring injury in training and is also ruled out.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

          - Bellerin not sure, wouldn't buy at full price.
          - Toby instead of Walker
          - Ighalo over Deeney
          - Wollscheid over Bennett

              Keep Bell at that price...

Toby is worth the small amount from Dier to Toby.

Not a watford fan... maybe Lukaku / Kane / Vardy

Hey, me and my co-workers are thinking of doing a draft FPL league, since i a way ahead in the regular league. They want to start fresh and to demolish me. Which is absolutely fine, think it could be fun.

Is there a website that can make the draft league easier or whatever?

Spurs have been firing more shots though.

      I'd play Myhill

Haven't logged on in a couple of weeks, what's the Aguero mood on here like?

Currently sitting as my Captain. Have Kolarov as first sub and a fully fit squad so feel I don't need to transfer him.

Morning all. Off to Paris when the Liverpool presser is going on, will be on the Champs Elysees checking Coutinho news (dressed like this obviously):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1v8VAt5hO8s

Anyway, if Coutinho is fit, should I captain him or Lukaku?

Not sure about Lukaku, Palace have not conceded more than 1 goal away this season at all.

      1. Doolittle
        • 13 Years
        10 years, 1 month ago

Yeah this is a worry, but we, and Lukaku in particular, are bang in form attacking at the moment. I really don't think Palace will handle him and Deulofeu. Having said that, I think Liverpool will annihilate Newcastle - just a question of Coutinho's minutes/involvement.

Mine is currently on Lukaku (C) and (VC)outinho. Think it'll probably stay that way, owing mainly to the certainty of Lukaku's 90 minutes. Wouldn't want a 60 or 20 minutes from Coutinho.

      1. Doolittle
        • 13 Years
        10 years, 1 month ago

Cheers BK, the certainty of minutes is the only reason I'm wavering from Coutinho, nothing worse than a cameo captain.

Coutinho way to good a prospect not too captain if he's fit and you have him already.

I wouldn't captain Lukaku this week I'm afraid, I'd still play him, but not captain.

I'd prefer Mahrez, Ighalo, Vardy, Ozil, Coutinho, Sturridge or Firmino maybe..

I bottled putting Coutinho in as Klopp has been quite cautious with players returning from injury. Would be worried about a cameo off the bench.

Would expect Firmino to start as he wasn't involved at all midweek. The midfield is impossible to predict now with Henderson back and Lallana, Ibe doing well

I stated below why. Spurs have tightened up but still not keeping many cs. Klopp seems to have that Liverpool team buzzing ATM now also. I'd back Moreno over Dier and Rose. Toby or Moreno is tough

    Toby or Zouma

Zouma long term for me. Chelsea are improving defensively and finally seem to be turning it around. Where as Spurs have been better defensively this year but still not keeping many cs. Both have attacking threat

From next GW how is this team?

    DDG Hennessey
    Bertrand Monreal Moreno Souare Simpson
    Hazard Coutinho Mahrez Lanzini Sinclair
    Aguero Kane Lukaku

Midfield is light and I quite fancy Toby but only 0.6 ITB

Midfield too light for me tbh but decent team overall. Still not sure I understand the no Vardy teams! Would much rather Ozil & Barkley for example to Hazard & Lanzini.

I like it but the midfield is a bit light as you said. Haz to Ozil/Silva would have been better (I'm assuming you brought him in this week).

Might be worth ditching Bertrand soon. Fixtures are still ok but that saints defence is not nearly as resilient as it used to be. Usually good for a goal/assist though but Pelle playing sh*te also

    Is Kane to Lukaku madness?

My philosophy this year has been to avoid needless transfers. But this is tempting.

Next week Kane (c) is a no brainer. This week though I still think Lukaku will do well - could be close.

Having both ATM is best. If anything Lukaku is the more on form player. Fixtures to keep going also. I would still not sell Kane for him though.
