Petr Cech is sidelined for up to four weeks with a calf complaint ahead of the north London derby. Dele Alli could be in line to return to the Spurs XI, with Mousa Dembele set to be assessed. Southampton have concerns up front for the visit of Sunderland, whilst West Brom’s Chris Brunt is ruled out for six months with knee ligament damage.

Petr Cech has been ruled out for “three-to-four weeks” with a calf complaint sustained in midweek, Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this morning. The Gunners boss admitted that Laurent Koscielny will miss the upcoming matches against Spurs and Hull with “a small injury”.

Mauricio Pochettino revealed that both Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele will be assessed ahead of the north London derby. The Spurs boss is hopeful that the Belgian will be involved after missing out against West Ham in midweek, whilst he also reckons that Alli stands a good chance of starting after the youngster was utilised as a sub on Wednesday night due to an ankle problem.

Lee Cattermole has been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to St Mary’s with the concussion that forced him off against Palace on Tuesday. Jeremain Lens remains sidelined with a hernia problem, though Big Sam is hopeful that John O’Shea could recover from a calf complaint in time. The Black Cats boss admitted that he’s managing Jan Kirchhoff’s fitness after replacing the new boy in midweek due to fatigue, though the former Bayern man is expected to be available for tomorrow.

Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery. Gary O’Neil and Robbie Brady are both available after recovering from a midweek collision that left the latter with a cut head and Brady needing a visit to the dentist after losing two teeth. Steven Naismith is back after overcoming a knock, whilst Andre Wisdom will return to training next week.

Bryan Oviedo is a doubt for Everton’s clash with West Ham after being forced off with a knock in midweek. Roberto Martinez has also revealed that Leighton Baines is set to see a specialist as he is still being hampered by the ankle problem that saw him miss much of the season – the left-back is expected to be available for the weekend, though. Mo Besic and Darron Gibson are likely to be available, whilst Tom Cleverley will continue to be monitored after missing out against Villa due to illness.

Charlie Austin is set to be sidelined for three-to-four weeks with the hamstring injury sustained at Bournemouth. The Saints are also without Shane Long for the visit of Sunderland, though the striker is expected to be available for the following weekend’s clash against Stoke. Victor Wanyama serves the fourth of a five-match suspension this weekend.

Ryan Shawcross is again expected to miss out for Stoke this weekend. Mark Hughes revealed that his skipper is seeing a specialist in Germany and, should he skip the trip to Chelsea, is optimistic that the defender could be back for Gameweek 30. Phil Bardsley has been ruled out with a calf complaint, whilst Geoff Cameron is “really sore” after returning to action from an ankle problem over the last week.

Harry Arter and Josh King are both “very doubtful” for Bournemouth’s trip to Newcastle, according to Eddie Howe. The duo were forced off with injuries in midweek and will be subject to late assessments.

West Brom were dealt a blow yesterday after Chris Brunt was ruled out of action for up to six months with knee ligament damage.

    do u think targett will start having sat the last match or koeman will return to 4 at the back? i am considering getting Williams for targett even though i believe soton have a better clean sheet chance than swansea this week. any thoughts lads?

      I'm playing Targett. I'm only 80% hopeful he'll start though. Everytime Koeman goes back to four at the back they struggle... conceded two and lost to Chelsea so I'm hoping he goes back to five and Targett plays.

    So I have brought in Kompany and Silva for free and have worked out I will need a -4 hit to get a full 11 for GW30. Does it make sense to take the -4 this week to bring in the likes of Williams for Swansea as I would have only been making a similar if not the same transfer for a hit next week.

        Yeah I'm trying not to but my defence needs a lot of work anyway. I have Bellerin and Toby so will only play one of them. I have Ward who is dead wood and Van aanholt so might be worth a hit to strengthen if I'm going to have to take a -4 at some point anyway.

    For those getting Siggy, are they shipping Payet?

    I actually have Arnautovic and am considering shipping Arnie instead, it means I can play Payet (eve) instead Arnie (che) with Alli (ARS) benched this week. I am going fine in regards to GW30 and in GW31 Payet (che) gives me an easy benching decision whereas Arnautovic makes it harder (wat).

    Thoughts?

                I still do. He was topping all the tables (bar Erisken being the clear number 1) just a GW ago. He missed an open goal last game, missed a 4m sitter vs Tot. I really think he is a good fpl option with the fixtures he has and the way he has been playing.

      I have this dilemma with Payet, or Willian - I am leaning towards getting rid of Payet as I feel Willian has a slightly better fixture this week, and should he survive the blank (I need to decide which two to lose between Azplicueta, Bellerin, Ozil, and Willian) then he has a better fixture the week after also.

      But it's a tough call, I don't want to lose Payet.

    A lot of planning going on, involving WC33 and load up on 15 DGW34 players.
    Im not sure thats the way to go.

    It will mean you will get a lot of players with blank gw35.
    You also have to lose all LEI and TOT players, and they argubly has some really tasty GW35 fixtures.
    LEI - SWA and TOT - WBA with no risk of a blank.

    Wouldnt it be better to start the planning now and get players that have a GW30 and also a future DGW like City and Newcastle players? And Everton and Liverpool players from GW31.

    This will give you:
    1. 9 x DGW34 players + (2 players from LEI and/or TOT) and give you the opportunity to play your Tripple Captain in DGW34.
    2. A ful squad for GW35 with Leicester and Tottehnham players still intact
    3. WC36 and let your Leicester and Tottenham players go, their fixtures takes a litle turn to the worse here.
    4: Save transfer GW37
    5: Get a crazy DGW37 team of 15 with no risk of future blanks. Lets hope 6 teams get DGW37.
    6: Use 2 transfers to fix the team for the final GW.

    Whats your thinking?

    For GW30, I had planned to do Surman > Eriksen but just noticed i'm 0.1m short. So now my options are:

    A) Surman > Alli
    B) Surman > Sigurdson
    C) Surman > Arnie
    D) Save, and play either Smith or Surman

    Current GW30 Lineup:
    Forster (stk); VVD (stk), Toby (avl), Fuchs (NEW), Kompany (nor); Mahrez (NEW), Silva (nor); Aguero (nor)(C), Vardy (NEW), Kane (avl). PLUS Smith or Surman (SWA) to play 5-2-3 or 4-3-3.

    Butland Hennessey
    Bellerin Dier VVD Daniels Simpson
    Ozil Payet Mahrez Arnie Alli
    Aguero Kane Vardy

    2FT, 3.7 ITB

    Alright guys, I could do with some help here, finding this decision pretty impossible. Which of the following transfers would you prioritise for my squad?

    A) Arnie->Siggy
    B) Payet->Siggy
    C) Bellerin->Kompany
    D) Butland->Hart
    E) Payet->Silva

      1. JamesFG
        • 10 Years

        That seems to be the general consensus but my main problem is that if Arsenal beat Hull on the 8th then I could be left with only 3 playing mids and I'd have to transfer out Payet then anyway. Shall I just go for it and then decide who his best replacement would be next week?

        1. The Tinkerman
          • 10 Years

          Looks to me like you have a decent 4-3-3 to play for GW30, you're set up well already?

          1. JamesFG
            • 10 Years
            9 years, 11 months ago

            Yeah I'll be able to play 4-3-3 and the fixtures are fairly kind, I just wonder if I could better maximise my points by having a 4th playing mid. I guess you think I'm best off going Arnie->Siggy and Bellerin->Kompany?

            1. The Tinkerman
              • 10 Years
              9 years, 11 months ago

              I would do Bellerin to Kompany this week for sure. Can't see arsenal keeping Spurs out with their defensive injuries, and then if they beat Hull he has a blank immediately after, whereas City couldn't really wish for better fixtures. Arnie will play GW30 so i'd keep him, Stoke are also in fairly decent form right now. Either Siggy or save it for GW31.

    2. The Tinkerman
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 11 months ago

      Id ditch Bellerin for Kompany, they are in poor form and now with Cech and Kosc out and a likely blank coming up.

    1. Payet- Siggy or Silva
    2. Sanchez- Siggy or Silva
    3. Bellerin- Kompany/Otamendi

    Which 2 of the above moves would u make and would you choose between Siggy and Silva to bring in this GW?

      Southeast veering southwest 4 or 5, occasionally 6 later. Thundery showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor

      I think most are waiting until double game week, would be stupid not to captain him normally though

    Want Silva, but it's difficult to ditch any of these:

    Mahrez
    Payet
    Alli
    Özil
    Sigurdsson

    Thoughts?

    reckon that Kolarov will start this GW? always seems to have a much more needed transfer and this will mean -4 to get him out. Wolly and Wimmer is on my bench right now, no CS potential this week imo.

      Swansea have a run of good fixtures not just Norwich so should pay off over the next. I definitely would not be capping a Swansea attacker
