Gameweek 28 enters it’s second day of action, which sees the top two sides in the country play simultaneously before the televised Norwich City versus Wigan Athletic game. Despite no TV coverage for either of the Manchester clubs’ games (in this country at least), the Dugout Discussion opens nonetheless to follow the events at the top.

The teams sheets from both our 2pm games are in and, starting at Old Trafford, are as follows…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Young, Carrick, Scholes, Welbeck, Rooney, Hernandez.

West Brom XI: Foster, Tamas, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Odemwingie, Andrews, Morrison, Mulumbu, Brunt, Fortune.

Having been turned over by Athletic Bilbao on Thursday, Sir Alex makes several changes with Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes and Danny Welbeck all returning the the starting eleven. West Brom make a couple of alterations, with Gabriel Tamas and Chris Brunt installed in the starting line-up.

Swansea XI: Vorm, Rangel, Williams, Caulker, Taylor, Allen, Britton, Sinclair, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Graham.

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Savic, Toure, Clichy, Barry, De Jong, Nasri, Toure Yaya, Silva, Balotelli.

The home side are without the suspended Nathan Dyer, so in comes Wayne Routledge in what is their only change from their previous outing. The league-leaders are much changed following their midweek defeat in Portugal. Roberto Mancini takes another gamble away from home by starting Mario Balotelli on his own, leaving Sergio Aguero on the substitutes bench.

Enter the Dugout Discussion chatroom to keep up-to-date with the goings-on in Manchester, Swansea and Norwich. It can be accessed right here.

I want to bring in Man U cover. Great fixtures and they also turn it tail end of the season. But who to bring in that is certain to play. I have rooney but who else?

If Ba doesn't perform well tomorrow, who should be my next 3rd striker?

    A Pogrebnyak

    B Odemwingie

    * i'm slightlly leaning towards Odemwingie, but i see today he actually plays in midfiled now?!?

Awful week so far. 18 points (-4) with RVP (C), Ba, Reina and Skrtel to go as well as Simpson off the bench for Lescott.

Also taken a hit for next GW by finally sending Aguero and 2 point Walters on their way and bringing in Rooney and Miyachi.

On a positive note, made £75 by taking a punt on the Swans (£5 at 15/1 on a 1-0 win) 🙂

If you're looking at Spurs defence GW31 onwards do you consider King for cheapness or Kaboul/BAE instead?

Kaboul was at fault for the goal yesterday and with Gallas back fit and available, I wouldn't be surprised if there was rotation going on at CB.

Good point. Thought with Dawson out for the season it would be straight forward but with King never far away from an injury or needing a rest and their form dipping it gives Gallas and even Nelsen a chance of getting involved.

I would wait on jumping to Rooney(C) next week. Europa midweek, which is a must-win for United, Rooney is sure to play, which could mean he could see less game time against Wolves, which SAF would assume to be a cake walk. But ofcourse he's nailed-on every week and I could be wrong...I guess we will have to wait and see.

    Verdict: Ba > Pogs (C)

I'd personally play the latter two. Moses is by no means predictable or reliable, WBA have looked relatively OK lately, Blackburn can't defend especially well, Liverpool can defend pretty well, and QPR can't attack particularly well.

Bingoooo Cheap route in the Tot defense. When fit he plays. No Europa games so I presume he will play majority of the games near the end of the season.

4.8 i think swings it for me. yah they've concede a few recently but arsenal were awesome, united and everton away aren't the easiest opponents and judging by harrys post match interview they will stiffen up a bit. he wasn't a happy camper

I feel for Mark, having had Moses in his team for the majority of the season, and talking him up no end on FFS... he goes and omits him from his wildcard team... and this is how the man repays him...

    Poor form dude... 🙁

Speaking of Mark's WC team check this:

      09 Mar 23:19 Walcott Mata 28
      09 Mar 22:45 Mata Walcott 28
      09 Mar 20:46 Walcott Mata 28
      09 Mar 20:04 Young Walcott

I find it so amusing 😆

but its raylor so he'll probs get some stupid assist or get subbed off right before they concede or something... and i think i'm only 3 pts ahead of you with vorms getting you 8 today and siggy only getting me 3

Youre right, it is only 3 points, but Raylor has been poor lately. I'm just hoping for a cheeky assist.

Or, the best thign ever could happen: He could not play at all. Then Caulker subs on to win the match!

Against all reason am I keeping Suarez over Ba next week. Just did my xfers, Komp to Koscielny and Aguero to Rooney. took a point hit, can't afford another one to offload the sewer rat....who else is keeping? Better take our thorazine tonight...

Rooney to come in for me but I don't like transferring players in before they have another game.
Suarez out dependent on his form on Tuesday. Won't be dropping if he gets a brace or more.

There's a good chance that won't happen 🙁 I'm going to monitor Cisse and Ba and make that my next free transfer. Suarez is bad luck (unless that "brace or more" happens on tuesday 🙂 )
