Haller leads West Ham attack as Fulham visit London Stadium

David Moyes has trusted Sebastien Haller (£6.1m) with the centre-forward role as West Ham host Fulham in Gameweek 8.

The Frenchman has been filling in for the stricken Michail Antonio (£6.2m), this his second consecutive start since his colleague’s hamstring injury against Manchester City.

Offered another shot at that role, it means suggestions of Jarrod Bowen (£6.3m) operating as a false-nine, at least from the beginning, have been dashed.

He has been deployed on the right-hand side of attacking midfield, Pablo Fornals (£6.4m) the man on the other side.

Moyes keeps faith with the 3-4-3 formation that has led to so many positive performances recently, which features Arthur Masuaku (£4.5m) and Vladimir Coufal (£4.5m) as the wing-backs and Aaron Cresswell (£5.1m) on the left-hand side of the back-three.

Fulham go with the same front-four who starred in their recent 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

That sees Aleksandar Mitrovic (£5.8m) leads the Cottagers’ line with Ademola Lookman (£5.0m) and Bobby De Cordova-Reid (£5.3m) either side of Tom Cairney (£5.3m) in attacking midfield.

I believe my move will be Kane + Podence -> Fernandes (C) + Antonio for next GW. Though I'm sure IB will make a mockery of my 2 FT. Also hope Antonio returns to fitness by then!

    Robbo Bellerin Zouma (Fodder x2)

Ziyech looks like a streeky explosive high tempo player. He's also injury prone and will probably struggle to stay fit under Lampards fast attacking system. Last season the team looked burnt out before the break.
Double City mids might be a better option over one City mid and Ziyech given fixtures etc.

If the likes of Pulisic, Havertz and to some extent Werner are not reliable, then what hope is there for Ziyech. I mean by all means bring him in but make sure you have a Plan B available

    5. Piggs Boson
      • 12 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

Ziyech is far better value than Werner as far as I'm concerned. Pulisic too if he ever sorts his fitness out. Werner plays a similar role to players like Rashford and Son but is hurt by classification.

You can have two City mids for their good fixtures whilst having Ziyech as well. They are not mutually exclusive.

West Ham doesn't have a goalscoring talisman this season in this 3-4-2-1 system

That makes things difficult for FPL

First time watching them under Moyes?

West Ham have been one of the most dangerous attacking teams since January.

They mainly generate chances through crossing and aerial dominance, but can hit on the break with Bowen's pace too.

          Good side.

They smashed Leicester and Wolves, and gave Arsenal, Liverpool, City and Spurs a really good game.

What channel is the West Ham game on apart from box office?

This is the issue with West Ham. Look good when they get to sit deep and counter attack. But as soon as they are no longer the underdogs it falls apart.

Hmmm considering doing Hamez to Ziyech to avoid price drop. Got 2ft so can get him back of needed (mid is: salah, son, Zaha, grealish, Hamez)

If you’ve got Rodriguez, you need to keep him for Fulham...

If Sigurdsson plays Hames is useless. Can you guarantee Siguardson gets dropped?

Good post. These are the factors to look out for. A certain player starting can affect an asset. Richarlison back and with the midfield 3 signings playing will help Hamez in the next couple of weeks. Also, pushes Iwobi one further down the line.

You don't want to use 2FTs to sell and buy back the same player.

Doubt Hames is gonna drop now, he was on like -260% and got adjusted until didn't drop lol.

Looking good for Coufal/Cresswell owners. CS on the cards here.

Be quiet, you’ve pretty much locked in mitro to bundle one over the line now

      Could have scored.

Masuaku, Coufal & Cresswell all pumping in crosses as usual. The Moyes way.

Who looks better, Coufal or Masuaku? I was quite surprised Ville Ronka has gone for Coufal

I went Masuaku, looks like both goal and assist.

Coufal tends to stick to the outside more and supply crosses, Masuaku crosses and dribbles into the middle a bit.

Tough to accumulate it all in my flawed human brain. Will need to look at the stats post game.

Coufal is a little more secure, because many are worried about a switch to a 4231 when Benrahma is fit. That would mean Cresswell LB, Masuaku dropped, and Coufal RB. So that's why he's the more popular, security.

Ah right, didn't know about that. So yeah, Coufal is a better pick it seems.

Is Soucek particularly advanced? The preseason hype on him was high and the 4.9 price is interesting

Son, Mahrez, CWilson to Bruno(C), Ziyech, Watkins is looking tempting, even for a hit.

There really is nothing worse in fantasy football than waiting on your defender to keep a clean sheet knowing in your heart that it probably won't happen

    McCarthy (Fodder)
    Robbo Bellerin Zouma (Fodder x2)
    Son Salah Grealish JRod (Bissouma)
    Kane DCL Jimenez

    WC to this ? =>

    Martinez (Fodder)
    Zouma, Bellerin, Cancelo (Wilson, Fodder)
    Son Salah Grealish KDB Bruno
    Bamford DCL (Brewster)

    Bamford could also be Watkins.

I think Villa could nick a clean sheet there. Arsenal have defended mostly since the start so much, they probably forgot how to attack. And Villa is probably suited to sit back and wait.
