Really don't think this question needs an article. Now captain for GW2? Yes, there's a debate to be had.

    Johnstone (Areola)
    Gabriel - Estu - Botman (Beyer/Baldock)
    Saka - Rashford - Mitoma - Eze - ???
    ??? - Haaland - Kane

    A) Maddison + Mubama
    B) Jackson + Nakamba
Something else… Don’t like Pedro as the sacrifice for Chilwell/Stones

I like Maddison, I imagine he will be assisting a fair few Kane goals. Been on corners and free kicks in pre season too

Same problem (Odegaard instead of Marti) but opted for B). This is why:

        - If Pedro turns out to be good you can easily change to him, but reversed it’s difficult if he turns out to be a trap. More transfers needed.
        - With Salah, you’ll probably looking to captain him gw2, but would I have the courage to do so given Haaland will be massively captained? I don’t, too much risk for me as the ranking would take a massive blow if it doesn’t work, too early in the season.

Not seeing any love for Jarrad Branthwaite @ £4.0m. Could easily emerge as one of the best Everton players this season. Tark is fit again. Blues are hard to beat - Dycheball going to see a good few 1-0 and 0-0 games. It is Likely that Keane starts ahead of him, this week, but I can't see it being long before he takes his chance.

Could, but by no means certain. People parking 4m defenders on their benches are going for nailed on starters.

Yeah, not certain. But out of all the 4.0m's he has the most potential and best fixtures.

    Thoughts on

    Onana (Areola)
    Stones, Gabriel, Estu
    Salah, Saka,Rashford,Eze,Mitoma
    Haaland, Pedro

    Badock, Mings, Mubama

My only concern is whether Pedro is not 100pct nailed? And salah ties up too much money

Brighton have Enciso, Lallana and are about to bring in Kudus who can all play the number 10 role. Then up front he has competition with Welbeck and Ferguson and wide left there is Mitoma. Plenty of competition in Brighton attack but personally I think he is safe for now

          1. Thanos

Yes competition is there. But Pedro played the most minutes and got the maximum returns too in preseason of all Brighton forwards. Joined for a club record too. Can’t see him not start atleast the first 2-3 unless he gets injured.

Who will be in that team? They have a lot of attacking options now, even Mitoma could see mins eaten into now with players like Pedro there who can slot in on the left, they have a European season coming so imagine the manager will keep things fresh.

Doubt anyone is expecting Pedro to carry their team anyway, he’s an enabler for bigger things, the teams without him probably won’t be Salah/Haaland/Kane combo teams.

If you’re going to take risks on a player not nailed it’s better on a 5.5 than a 10.5 like KDB or 9 like Jota IMO.

Ornstein reported that Arsenal are taking David Raya on an initial £3 million loan and have a £27 million option to buy him. So, we've basically upgraded Turner for a season and have a player who can fight for the starting spot and become our #1. If it doesn't work out, it's okay, and we can walk away.

This has to be one of the smartest deals the club has done in years. Another absolute masterstroke by Edu!

Brentford have extended Raya's contract by a year to protect his value if the option is not taken up. He had previously entered the final year of his deal.

        https://www.skysports.com/football/news/32461/12935347/david-raya-brentford-goalkeeper-set-to-join-arsenal-on-initial-3m-loan-deal-with-a-27m-option-to-buy

Sure it’s an option to buy but not an obligation. Would be very strange on Brentford’s part to agree to a optional deal tbh.

This is what Romano said, and he's been wrong many times before. Especially about the details. He's been reporting on the £30m transfer fee and contract until 2028 for days now. And no one knew what was really going on before Ornstein put him in his place.

The option to buy and the obligation to buy are two very different things.

Is there an app out there where I can just follow the players in my team? For example, I can pick my starting 11, then everytime my player either gains points through goals, assists, cs and save points or gets subbed, carded it sends a push notification of who and what points where gained/lost?

Simply put, it would save me having to follow each game my players are playing in on flash scores and getting my hopes up when a team scores and my player is not involved. It would save me constantly going onto my phone to load up flash scores and constantly refresh the score waiting to see who got the points. Maybe it would have a widget to show total points also.

I know about livefpl but can it send push notifications telling me about who scored which points in my team as it happens?

Tbh you probably just want to set a notification for premier league goals though. FPL is relative so it doesn’t matter what your players do in isolation. And also clean sheets for all your defenders.

The app does show live fantasy points on the lineup page for each match

Fantasy Football Fix (free or paid version) has a live points page for your team (similar to that on FPL live) but with a vidiprinter style updates next to it that updates you with any events that effect you team, eg so an so has scored, conceded a goal, got booked etc. That's the closest I'm aware of.

    This is what I’m on:

    Johnstone (Turner)
    Chilwell, Saliba, Botman (Udogie, Beyer)
    Salah, Saka, Rashford, Maddison, Diaby
    Haaland, Pedro (Mubama)

Pretty set on this, but Botman could swap for another 4.5 and Maddison could be Havertz. Thoughts?

Keep Maddison. Botman poor fixtures, a few poor scores and people will ditch him in droves, that means a price drop. Plenty of interesting 4.5 defenders to research. If you find a gem let me know please.

Hmmmm. Veltman? Seemed to get a lot of minutes in pre-season. But I don’t have Estu

Lewis Hall at Palace could be the one, if that gets sorted before Friday.

Would he play right back or left back?

            He’s a left back.

What do you think of this lot? Any changes?

    Johnstone (Turner)
    Chilwell Estu Gabriel (Kabore Beyer)
    Salah Saka Bruno Mbeumo (Sarr)
    Haaland Watkins Pedro

Good. I’d try and find 0.5 to upgrade Bruno to Rashford though

Agree. But a very nice team. Rashford against Wolves is just too tasty to ignore.

Good or bad? Feel like I want to have a 4.5 defnder on the bench with guaranteed minutes just in case one of the starters is benched.

    Johnstone
    Chilwell Gabriel Estupinan
    Salah Saka Bruno Maddison Mitoma
    Haaland J.Pedro

    Turner; Botman, Mubama, Kabore

Why does it have to be 4.5? Baldock & Kabore both start, you don’t look like you have any players who won’t get on the pitch even if they don’t start which makes the bench irrelevant.

What's the point in having a 4.5 on the bench if they're only going to get 1 or 2 points every week

If Reece James is confirmed on pens, does he overtake Chilwell as the best Chelsea option?

50-50. If I understood in pre-season James wasn't as attacking as Chilwell

Depends on how attacking Chilwell is I guess, if he doesn’t stop bombing forward I’d say no.

Pretty sure Poch will give it to his striker or midfielder anyway, their confidence is dependant on goals, James as Captain is not.

    Saka, Jota, Bruno, Maddison, Eze
    Haaland, Watkins, Joao Pedro
