Looking to do Jesus to Darwin this week but leaves me with a benching headache. Who would you guys bench out of these 8?

    KDB, Foden, Saka, Richarlison, Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Darwin

as ridiculous as it sounds I think I'm leaning towards Palmer or Foden

Similar dilemma. Want to bring Darwin in but then have a benching headache and given I avoided those trials and tribulations this week tempted to role.

But that is the cowards way out as Darwin for 3 fixtures in next two gameweeks should exceed most attackers points.

So I need to bench one of the following:

Saka away to my lot who have been tosh

Palmer away to Palace who have been tosh

Watkins at home to Utd who have generally been tosh

      Have to play Jota/Richy/Haaland

Kind of hoping Palmer or Watkins pick up an injury on Wednesday

yeah can be super frustrating in these situations because you know whatever you do it won't be optimal. Genuinely think I'm leaning more towards playing pep roulette and benching foden.

If picking your attacking players on form it would be Darwin. Maybe wait a week to make the move for Darwin.

Yeah my only thought with that is him and Jota/Porro will be out in 26. Feels like I should have him for Burnley too.

I dunno let’s see what that replay does tomorrow

Patience has been a virtue for me this season

I've got Solanke instead of Jesus, and I'm going to bench him. I've been bitten almost every week with sub choice. He'll probably score but the other 7 are pretty undroppable. I considered benching Foden this week, for example, going Saka instead which felt like a mistake before the City game. Could have been much worse.

What are the expected chances of a Salah return vs Burnley

Been holding Salad money in the bank, I'm ready for a 1-trade Move to bring him back.

Quality footballer. But not hitting FPL heights consistently enough. A DGW unlikely to boost his returns. Could be rotated with Darwin and Gakpo when Salah returns.

I’m looking at WC24, roll a transfer and BB in 25 with 8 doublers and then have 2FT to field a decent 11 in 26.

That could easily pay off. If it doesn't then be prepared to have to wait to see how much damage is done to your rank if your rivals play their wildcards later. 🙂

      Kaminski, Areola
      Gabriel, Branthwaite, VVD, Doughty, Tripper
      Saka, Jota, Foden, Rodri, Richarlison
      Watkins, Darwin, Haaland

Its not embarrassing though is it? Marc spent time and effort putting the article together. Its logical and coherent. We dont know how fit Gordon is and some, myself included, will be shipping him this week regardless. Im grateful for the article and its not a fail. You didnt pay for anything and nor did I and I appreciate any contribution on here whether I rate it 10/10 or 5/10 against the ever changing circumstances and relevance it may then have as a result.

You can read that the article was put together before the South Korea game - re. comments around Hwang. Gordon's twitter info came out near the end of the match.

Have a bit of consideration of people's time and effort.

I can sort of see where WR is coming from though (though maybe not quite as strongly) - the article should have been tweaked before publishing, or at least headed with a disclaimer that new information has come to light. Publishing a knowingly misleading article I would guess is not the norm in journalism.

Not necessarily sold on Alvarez to Haaland, but if I do I need funds. Where would you downgrade to get some extra cash to do it?

    A. Trent -> Anyone (except Trippier)
    B. Porro -> Van Hecke (one less blank in 26)
    C. Solanke -> Adebayo (one more blank in 26)

    1. Hanz0

      I would get Haaland

I did B this week but with Branthwaite instead of Van Hecke

Not ideal getting rid of Porro given the fixtures but he hasn't scored more than 8 points in a GW the entire season.

Helps prep for GW26 and Spurs struggle for cleansheets, suspect Brighton will score having just put 4 past Palace

Thanks. I think I will go Haaland. It's just that the options by not going Haaland are so nice...

Probably leaning towards B or C. I have 4 blanks currently so even with 5 blanks, I'll have 2FT so can get to 11 or, given 3 of them are defenders, just play 10 as defenders aren't exactly returning consistently

        1. Hanz0
          • 2 Years

Yeh I had 6-7 non starters so for me B was the only option. If your in a better position for GW26 then C may be the way to go as you gain another DGW player.

Obviously team dependent. Worth planning it out on Fpl.team imo

Definitely get Haaland though, the risk of going without is too great! GL

I don't see him starting more than 2 games - Liverpool may face a lot more games this season and, presuming Bradley is back for selection, they have an in-form deputy so they don't need to push Trent. Question is whether the Burnley + Brentford + sub at Luton is still worth it. I'm tempted to sell but I definitely wouldn't buy with the blank to follow

I may move on Haaland tonight. He doesn't play mid week and given it was a bone injury, you've got to assume (as someone who knows little about these sort of things) that a set back isn't likely. So main risk is a freak training ground injury and everyone will be taking a hit anyway so hardly an issue.

Im struggling this week. Think I've got to sort my defence. Any advice appreciated:

    Dubravka (Areola)
    Zinchenko*, Porro, Estupinan* (Lascelles, Taylor)
    KDB, Saka, Palmer, Richarlison, Foden
    Haaland, Watkins (Solanke)

    1tt. 4.1 itb.

    a) Zinchenko to Trippier
    b) Zinchenko to Trent
    C) Zinchenko to Doughty
    D) One of the above but sell Estupinan instead

I could even do Lascelles to Trent/Tripps but puts Salah a long way off

Are you not worry about Pedro 's minute?
Garnacho in form and I can see him score against Villa ' highline defence,

I'd be leaning towards C as least likely to start. But would probably say A if you knew all three started

Which combo would you go for for the double?

    A) KDB, Haaland, Alvarez, Diaz
    B) KDB, Haaland, Foden (no Pool attack for the double)

B is for a hit, as I need to downgrade Saka to garnacho to afford both a and b

Obviously depends who the forward in Alvarez's place is, but I don't see Foden + Forward + a Hit outscoring Alvarez & Diaz assuming all things equal in terms of blanking players in 26

Have Alvarez and KDB, getting Haaland for eigther Solanke or Alvarez.

Possibly keeps me on A then. Fulham away and then two tough fixtures for Dom so think he's dispensable, albeit you may want him back again quickly from 27

Prefer B but not wild about losing Saka as he hasn't stopped getting points since I got rid a couple of weeks ago

Not loosing Saka would mean downgrading TAA and still not able to afford Foden or Jota, only Diaz

    Dubravka Areola
    TAA Trippier Branthwaite Taylor Baldock
    KDB Richarlison Bowen Palmer Gordon
    Haaland Toney Solanke

    1FT 1.4ITB

What to do here, Bowen+Baldock to Foden+Bradley? Wildcard out Taylor, Baldock, Bowen, TAA, Gordon, Solanke..?

I need to find 0.7m from some where in my squad after doing Andersen >> Jota which is best way

    A) Watkins >> Darwin

    B) TAA >> VVD

    C) Solanke >> Adebayo

    D) Porro >> Doughty

    E) Forget Jota just get Diaz

      C, D, B, E, A I think would be my order of preference.

E is low because I think, if you're going to go for a 'pool attacker it's got to be Jota

I'd presume so. But would expect a bench appearance at most Vs Brighton and then with the blank I suspect the move is to turn a Foden or Jota into him in 27

I actually see it slightly differently re his gametime against Brighton but you may be right. Its only Tuesday so plenty of time to get over jet lag assuming he's coming back tomorrow. He's not injured. Spurs are out of the FA Cup and blank in GW26 so have a huge 2 week gap after Wolves in GW25 to give him a rest.

All good points and you might be right. I wouldn't buy him at this point but he could be a shrewd differential if he starts Vs Brighton and it's a goal fest

He looks strong captain material to me too in GW29 albeit that gameweek looks uncertain at this stage, Spurs vs Fulham is a certain fixture

    b) Solanke --> Darwin and bench Gordon

It comes down to decision: Jota or Darwin this week and perhaps the other 1 next gw

No idea what to do here

    Dubravka Areola
    TAA Trippier Porro Gabriel Branthwaite
    Saka Foden Richarlison Palmer Garnacho
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    2ft
    2.9 itb

I don't want to lose any of my outfield players

How about Areola or Dubravka to Alison?

I'd suggest it ties you into an expensive transfer you may not have the luxury of making in future. I'd be tempted to lose one of that expensive backline ready to shift some funds into midfield
