    Dub Areola
    Gab Branthwaite (Porro VVD Bradley)
    Saka Gordon Foden KdB (Palmer)
    Watkins Haaland Solanke

Thinking I'll roll this week and play 10 to have 2ft next week. Thoughts on this?

Not interested in something like VVD to Maguire to maybe get Salah down the line?

Don't see why you would play with 10 when VVD is an easy sell.

      BGW26, nfo (A), MCI (H), likely BGW29

    Areola
    Ake Estupinan Saliba
    Jota Foden Gordon Jota*
    Haaland Watkins Darwin*

    Dubravka Lamptey Palmer Porro

    1FT, 3.4itb

9 players (not sure I can count Lamptey)…

Who do I need to bring in for the BGW?

    Kind regards…

If meaning for BGW 29 a West Ham or Villa player- no certainty Wolves will have a game in 29

Good to save this week (barring yet more injuries)?

    1FT 0.6ITB
    Areola
    Estupinan Cash Reguilon
    KDB Saka Foden Gordon
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Dubravka Robinson Jota** Kabore**

Had low expectations this week, so bracing myself for a red arrow. Solanke on my bench and loss of Cash’s clean sheet both hurt!

It's a fantasy assist as it was a SOT, same as Walker's assist.

"Fantasy assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team who last touches the ball before their teammate who scores the goal. The final touch can be an intentional pass, an inadvertent touch, or the result of an effort on goal."

    1) Kudus
    2) Ward - Prowse
    3) Gibbs-White
    4) Douglas Luiz
    5) Bailey
    6) Tavernier (dgw 28 but maybe a blank in 29)

I think it depends on chip strategy. KdB is the weakest asset there but I’m swerving Salah until GW30

The rest play for teams who reliably score goals, Villa don’t.

But he has loads of points, more than others named. So don't see how the direct evidence adds up?

I think the other 4 (who are all in a title chase) will score more from now to the end of the season.

Maybe so. It was 'consistent' that I was drawn to, Watkins has been absolutely that

Yep, but you can't make up alternatives where things that happened didn't happen. Where does that thought process end? Deleting goals, doubles, hat-tricks, whatever?

My point is it changes so quickly, and because none of us really know I’m going by the fact that the other 4 are historically over a longer term more reliable for returns, and that’s evidenced by their price.

Is everyone planning to just free hit in 29? Seems a waste but so does forming a team for that week. Still have WC

Depends on current set up, if you have 5 players now who play in 29 then it won't be too bad to make a team that dead ends into 29 and then wildcard out of it

Look at the fixtures for some of these teams like West Ham and Villa, they're good. Brentford play Burnley in 29 too.

I wouldn't want to carry/transfer in any players from these teams for next 4 gameweeks, except Watkins and Toney. But hey, you do you...good luck.

Yeah Chelsea beating Villa was really disappointing, otherwise at least we would have had an Arsenal - Chelsea game on with 5-6 players to have just from that game

Still have faith, Leeds are in blistering form and they'd be up for a game with Chelsea. I've got no view on selling Arsenal or Palmer either way.

More I look at future planning, feels like dead heading your team to 29 makes the most sense. The potential bookies matchups are terrible outside of 5-7 players. Save free hit instead of using.

Wildcard 30, then have free hit for 34. Build team towards 37 for bench boost with max players as possible.

    Thoughts?

Dead ending into 29 will be difficult without adversely affecting 26,27 and 28. And even then, you'll probably still struggle to get 11

Yea this is my concern about that, I’ll be letting a bad gw29 take up all my transfers and form some weird team I don’t want lol. It’s that or waste th on it. Or meet in between, no chip, and yea just 6 players or something.

        1. Utopsis
          • 5 Years
          1 year, 9 months ago

Exactly. The other point is that 34 and 37 will likely be large DGWs so getting close to 11 DGWs might be easily doable with transfers without needing FH

          1. Bob B
            • 12 Years
            1 year, 9 months ago

34 will be a double and a blank though, so the wildcard will set us up with 37 in mind whilst the FH means we can keep any player who blanks in 34 and attack the doublers in that fixture

Bingo—think this is a big factor. I’m going to be going the route outlined above I think.

Yep true, but the 34 blanks would be because of the FA Cup semi finals. At worst 4 teams blanking. A WC30 for example would enable you to set up for this no problem, in addition to 37.

From my experience with FPL I would say this "meet in between" approach is usually the worst, it is usually the best to just commit to one idea and stick with it.

Which -4 is best to get Saka in

    A) Zinchenko and Jota = £4.7m Def and Saka
    B) Darwin and Jota = Solanke and Saka

Depends how Saka and Solanke go for price rises but I can only survive a single rise from each if I go for B
