Such a mild winter in the UK this year yet so many muscle injuries.

40 odd points behind in ML I'd like to win. When's the right time to take more risk?

Eg maybe Watkins or Hwang for captain this week?

They're both decent shouts regardless of the gap. But 40 points is nothing, I wouldn't start going too crazy trying to close it until the last 4/5/6 GWs

Still plenty of GWs to claw that back especially with doubles in 34/37

NFO defence is 2nd best for xGC np/90 in the last 6 games. No penalty comfort blanket either

Yet they still conceded 3 v Brentford and Newcastle respectively.

Conceded 3 goals against Brentford @ 1.2xGC (Turner in goals)

Conceded 3 goals against Newcastle @ 0.48xGC (Sels in goals)

Equally, Watkins has had nearly 1 xG in each of his last 3.

2 of Forest's last 6 have been against Championship opposition in the cup. Their 4 Prem games include 3 at home and 2 red cards for opposition teams

Even excluding cup games & taking it right back to Nuno's appointment, Forest have 2nd lowest big chances conceded & 3rd lowest xGC

Fair, it's quite convincing but their fixtures have been relatively easy in that period and they're still a much better team at home than away. I think context is needed when looking at the stats here

All this being said I don't think Watkins will get much space/opportunities against them

I was a little surprised at the stat tbf, wasn't really convinced by them at first. Still, I'm not really feeling Watkins (C) tbh

Me neither. I'll probably go Haaland as I'm not convinced by Saka either

I think based on this thread I'll just be sticking with Haaland myself. Time for better punts later in the season!

Guardiola on how De Bruyne is: "Good. He's not injured. I don't know if he's 100% but I think we took a good decision not to take a risk. We took a decision because he did not feel comfortable." Says he will assess him later and 'I'm pretty sure he will travel'.

Maybe Ødegaard since Newcastle have been struggling in that area too, although I kind of have a feeling that it might be tighter than most expect with Newcastle defending much deeper / more compactly and amping up the s--housery. Adingra? Maybe Doucoure?

I'm thinking Newcastle might be a difficult match - was thinking Gross / Mitoma but got reminded that Everton thrashed them last season

Could take a punt on Doku (1 goal & 4 assists in the reverse fixture)

Hojland injury puts me back to 10
    Raya, (res)
    Gab, Trip, Bran
    KDB Foden Saka Gordon
    Haaland Watkins
Non playing Palmer Gusto Guehi Hojland.
Is Hojland to Solanke for a hit the only sensible move? I'd have got him next week anyway, I think. Only 0.6itb, and planning FH 29.

Xg is a joke, math used is awful.
History suggests Watkins scores. He's scored in consecutive weeks quite often.
