Is Livramento an option now after his 90 mins? Would he be affected if Trippier was back in 37?

Howe seems to prefer him over Hall, so ordinarily I'd expect Livramento just to switch over to left-back when Trippier is ready. Two things that would maybe put me off. First, Livramento himself has been affected by niggling ankle issues recently, and we can't say for sure that he's definitely over them based only on Saturday's 90 minutes. Second is the end of the season approaching, and managers sometimes do weird things towards GW37/38. I would think Howe goes full strength as NUFC chase a European slot, and that includes Livramento, but there's just the slight concern that there isn't with Burn, for instance.

Thanks for the insightful reply, Neale. I'm chasing in my ML and also top 75k so trying to pick out differentials that also enable some other players in my WC team.

That's fair enough, mate. I'm lily-livered when it comes to taking risks in FPL so there'll be way better managers than me out there who will be willing to gamble on him!

Some rumours that Joelinton is back in training, though not sure how true they are. Could be interesting to have him and Trippier back in time for the game at Old Trafford.

Also think I'm going to double up on Isak and Wilson for BB in GW37 as not a fan of the other DGW strikers.

Gusto should be OK. Van Hecke to Maguire or Van de Ven? Either way roll this week if you can field a decent defence and reasses next week.

    Petrovic, Pickford
    Gusto, Schar, Gabriel, Porro, Maguire
    Salah, Son, Palmer, Garnacho, Gordon
    Haaland, Isak, Hojlund

    0.1 ITB, 1FT BB37

Save FT or dump Salah for Foden and maybe take a hit for a city or arsenal defender too? Sitting nicely at 5k but don't really like my team for the last 3 GW and I'm afraid I'm going to drop out of the top 10k by the end of the season.

I would do Salah to KDB this week.

Any fans of the following who can comment on the nailedness of the following?
    (For FPL Draft)

    Chelsea: Badiashile, Chalobah
    Arsenal Tomiyasu:
    Everton: Godfrey, Young

I'd add Hall and Livramento, but Neale's reply above helps there.

As a Chelsea fan, I would avoid the mentioned two (as well as all other defenders), irrespective of their nailedness

Thanks. It's slim pickings I'll say, but it needs to be a cheap defender and these are the best options available.

Doughty and Barco are maybe the others.

Likely around that, yeah. There are some sort-of-similar examples from previous years, ie Bowen + Rashford hitting double centuries and moving up to £8.5m and £9.0m respectively. Palmer has already surpassed them both, having not started until GW7, so I'd guess £9.5m. I think it's kept in check by the team he's playing for, too.

That could also be a trap, he seems like Grealish type in Villa. Awesome when focal point, but if chelsea improves as a team, his point total will probably suffer

Looking for a bit of off topic advice. I just received an email from PlayON saying they’re going to start charging my $8 a month for account inactivity.

Has anyone had this? I can’t believe it’s legal. I know gambling companies are complete moral vacuums but this seems really weird and counter intuitive.

I’ve emailed to ask them to close my account, which I guess is all anyone will advise. Just a bit annoyed and wanted to share, I guess!

Defending 40 points ML lead. Will BB in 37.

Defending my position against a team with no chips, 2 x ARS defs + N Jackson as the main differences between us.

    I am tempted by:
    Solanke+Gusto >Gabriel+Jackson for -4 as a block.
I hate both transfers in isolation, and wouldn't only for his team lineup.

Or should I just do the ARS Def this week and Jackson for the double?

Since 2017-18 (when xG data became available) 48 players have cumulated 15 xG in a Premier League season.
47 of those players have scored at least 13 goals.

Can you guess who the other player is?

Havertz has never hit 15 xG in a season before - his best was last season at 11.6, from which he only scored 7 goals. This season he's scored 12 from 10.8 xG. Similarly, Werner's record is 11.4 xG, from which he only scored 6.

Hojlund's combined XG for the 6 games he's played since coming back from injury is 0.73. He started all those games.

I'd have more hope for a young striker who has good movement and gets into good positions and misses than one that doesn't have the movement but is a better finisher.

      1. x.jim.x
        • 11 Years

One is 24, playing for title challengers, in his second season, and is (massively) under-performing his xG.
One is 21, playing in a disaster of a team, in his first season, and is over-performing his xG.

Even from that 0.7 xG, Hojlund still managed to score a goal (because he's actually a decent finisher) so I'm not sure why you've brought him up.

The team is poorly coached, poorly managed, built like a Polo mint, and filled with players who are either not good enough or don’t care enough to try.

Hojlund is obviously talented, but he very clearly isn’t ready to lead a CL level team, nor should he be expected to.

Yep, One manager deems you not good enough to be in the squad while another starts you in a CL semi final a few months later…

I dont think he deemed him not good enough, hes just clearly not a good man manager and they had a foolish ego clash and were too stubborn to sort it.

Honestly a real joke of a situation

Think that is a bit harsh on ETH. He had no choice when a player called him out like that especially when that player has a massive attitude problem

The bigger problem is the club signing him without doing any due diligence on personality. If they had done they would have heard by all accounts that he never turns up for training on time. Don't see many top clubs putting up with that

Do you think his performances at United were good enough? Even ignoring the beef with Ten Hag (which was massively unprofessional on his part), he's been absolutely honking since we signed him.

With the Serie C season almost complete, clubs and supporters will have just a few days to catch their breath and steel themselves for the marathon of the play-offs.

No fewer than 28 teams will be competing throughout the month of May and into June for the single remaining promotion berth. The victor will join Serie C divisional winners – Mantova (A), Cesena (B) and Juve Stabia (C) – in Serie B next season.

The Serie C play-offs are amongst the most physically demanding in European football. There will be a total of 39 matches played and team entering in the first round would need to play ten matches in five weeks if they were to go all the way. Thank heavens Jurgen Klopp isn’t in charge at Audace Cerignola.

But it’s not just the players and coaches looking down the barrel of a hectic month. The administrators will be limbering up too, preparing to implement a fiendishly complex set of competition rules.

With the involvement of our adopted team, Padova, now guaranteed we’ve attempted to lighten the burden for fans with our Serie C play-off explainer…

    1FT, 4.0 ITB, BB37, thoughts?

    Raya / Petrovic
Schar / Burn / Gusto / Van Hecke / Bradley
    KDB / Son / Saka / Palmer / Garnacho
    Haaland / Isak / Hojlund

Going to be a -4 for two defenders, which two?
Gvardiol (would block me out of Foden)
    White
    Dunk
    Dalot
    Other?

white for sure given i guess you want a good option for 36 and 38 as well.

other one is tough to chose not much to pick from. dalot i guess as would want foden for 37 + 38

Anyone remember when Fantasy football scout joined up with a site called playon, well I got this email today and I imagine others who signed up may have got the same?

I can't remember signing up with a card, I definitely haven't logged in for years and can't login anymore - password reset doesn't even work.

What would you advise, just ignoring them and speaking to the bank just in case to stop payments going to this shady dodgy site?
