Here is my current LOADED draft. It does have a "weak" midfield but its all talisman for their clubs? If the values picks feast could be crazy

    Flekken / Henderson
    TAA / Livramento / Mykalenko / Barco / Harwood-Belis
    Salah / Hudson-Odoi / ESR / Nkunku / Winks
    Watkins / Haaland/ Issak

Could be. Same for most other teams with talismen. Balance might be questionable.

If Foden, Son, Saka and Palmer find their shooting boots and Watkins for example doesn't and Mo isn't better than above mentioned mids, you have to WC early.

Whilst both Haaland & Salah fall into the “must have” category, neither of them actually represent value for money unless they are given the armband. Obviously you cannot captain both.

I would choose one or the other & spread the funds around to strengthen your team.

They are both “must haves” for lots of people & I will certainly have one of them in my team just not both of them. Cannot justify spending 27.5 million on just two players.

You plan to play a forest attacker (one of worst attacks in the league) and ESR while have TAA (unlikely to start) and probably wont field 11 week 1

And you have no cover for Spurs or Arsenal or United

Only Salah Haaland Watkins and Isak are tailismen

Dilemma for Gvardiola/Haaland owners. Do they really want to tie up a 3rd City slot with him or wait for Foden's return?

I like to swerve the pain of City m/f-ers unless its Rodri of course.
In finishing 11th last season in the m/f category he was only just pipped by Rice as the most prolific DM in the game.

          And he's almost always THERE.

They were both also just a smegg behind the likes of Bruno, Bowen and Gordon at 8.5 7.5 and 7.5 respectively.
A case can be made I believe.

Could work out well for 1st two weeks as a 2nd City pick with Haaland or Gvardiol but don't like him as a 3rd City pick as that could block you from getting Foden in GW2 if he comes from the bench vs Chelsea and scores

Fair enough but many years ago when I was new to FPL, I went light in midfield and I had a terrible season.

Goal scoring mids are where the points are at, so I would not be skimping on 2 of those spots

Liverpool played 3 friendlies. Quansah played in all ( a total of 201 minutes).

    A. Bailey (6.5M) + 4.5M defender

Anyone think Oscar is worth the few Bobb to take on the Alvarez role?

Yeah, but after 1st couple of GW will be back on the bench needing a transfer out.

I agree. Therefore all my other picks are solid ones. Easy to upgrade when selling Haaland.

      2. Eze Really?

Very true. Hence the question. Maybe a player if you Wildcard early. He can be a bench player for a week or so. I love watching though.

Bobb is in my team. Best 5.0 atm and worth .5 over Winks.

Think I'll get Bobb in. He's good in that role. Not much competition and covered by Rogers.

I just don't want him as an impact sub in the 88TH minute

This will be the template this season.

    Pope
    Saliba Porro Hall
    Jota Rashford Saka Nkunku
    Haaland Isak Solanke(At spurs)
    4mil Lewis (City) , 4mil Winks

    Haaland mostly perma captain

Bookmark it to come back throughout the season.

        closest i can think of

        Salah getting old
Palmer wont get as many pens
        Villa have CL
Newcastle to bounce back with no europe
Spurs to final have a centre forward
Jota to get way more minutes than people think
Rashford and Nkunku will get alot of games at CF
Lewis to play alot for City this year with walker older so perfect for games around CL in the PL

Rashford is worse up top than out wide and we've just signed Zirkzee to back up Hojlund. The rest of your post is also very questionable.

Okay what's the template for the other 30-odd GWs when at least one of Haaland, Jota, Nkunku and Isak is injured

    Improve this squad using 0.5

    Henderson / Paulsen
    Porro / Myko / Burn / Faes / Barco
    Salah / Eze / Rashford / Kudus / Winks
    Haaland / Isak / Solanke

    B. Amad

    Rogers covers them.

    Opinions?

"Having scored two goals and delivered two assists throughout the season, the Norwegian will now be looking to become even more prominent in the City team this time around."

    Bobb. IN as my punt.

Plus he's Norwegian which works well for Haaland

How much time is he realistically going to get over Doku, Silva, Foden though? They've just signed that Savinho who plays right wing too.

Just looked up Bobb's wiki page.
Porto "encouraged" his parents to move to Portugal when Bobb was very young.

But FIFA would not let him move to Porto FC because they were not convinced his parents moved there because his mother wanted to pursue an acting career.
He speaks fluent Portuguese now though!

How do people rank their Arsenal assets?

I may start with 2 and then be able to get the third in one swoop, but tinkering with ideas:

Raya - 38 games nailed. 4.5s look awful atm

    White - v underrated

    Saliba - hopefully starts GW1

Gabriel - possibly the balance of Raya and White for price and goal threat

Odegaard - v underrated imo. Wondering if he and Son are a good combo to start with, but the upgrade to Saka is likely two FTs

Saka - getting better every year. Is he the best bet at 10m?

I am wondering Odegaard + Son/Palmer is the combo in midfield

    Watkins / Odegaard / Foden?

    (Alternative suggestions welcome too).

    GTG?

    Flekken
    Robinson Hall Anderson
    Salah Son Gordon Bobb
    Haaland Isak Muniz

    Valdi Rogers Konsa Barco

Probably as good as it gets with the two big boys. Gordon to Nkunku and get Porro in defence?

Not a fan of the spurs defence and think Nkunku will end up being a mistake.

Nice draft... similar to mine so Im probably biased. Have you considered Eze + 5.5M instead of Gordon + Bobb?

I keep rotating between these two options. I like Eze and think ESR could be a steal at 5.5m

Both good players. Robbo might be more nailed. A wait and see.
