    Thoughts on the best combination?

    A) TAA and ESR
    B) Munoz and Jota

    Thanks

      B looks more explosive

Jota too unpredictable with possible rotation then Munoz based off basically half a season whereas I think TAA plus ESRs pre-season looks the more consistent option

      B. (without knowing the rest of your team)
      Need exposure to LIV attack.
Munoz is a stand-out pick as an attacking full back.

    Pool coverage:
    A - Salah
    B - Jota + Diaz
    C - Jota/ Diaz + TAA

      A then C for me.

The idea of have Jota & Diaz only to see one of them benched every week scares me.

    Thoughts on my current draft?

    Henderson Valdimarsson
    TAA Gvardiol Robinson Barco Harwood-Bellis
    Son Gordon Jota Eze Winks
    Haaland Isak Wood

Could also go with Solanke and ESR instead of Wood and Gordon and bank the 0.5m

Also weighing up Solanke v Wood.
But would you want Solanke and Son? And no Arsenal?

Anyone shared this quote? From allaboutfpl, who probably got it from the athletic.

"The plan at Man City this season is for Foden & B Silva to move inside. Grealish & Doku will compete for a spot on the left, while the competition on the right is between Bobb & Savinho

    - via @SamLee

    Time to lock Bobb then"

Sam Lee has taken his own interpretation to Pep's quote

Pep Guardiola: "Jack [Grealish] can just play left, Oscar [Bobb] just can play right, Bernardo [Silva] can play right, Phil [Foden] can play left but more right. Jeremy [Doku] and Savinho can play on both sides..."

      https://x.com/City_Xtra/status/1822748576113426559?t=zZVIn17_MZL4Vboh07N7Zg&s=19

Pep Guardiola on Oscar Bobb: “He can play in five positions; striker, right, left, and in the pockets. He’s so dynamic. The work ethic is unbelievable… He doesn’t feel the pressure much; I don’t know what happened for the Academy players [with them not feeling the pressure]. Look at Cole [Palmer], he’s doing really well at Chelsea – I’m so happy for him. Look at Rico when he came, Phil… It’s important for the club to bring players from the Academy to help us. Oscar helped us, and that is really, really great.”

I just saw that Sam wrote an article about Bobb, when I was looking for this quote.

But what Pep said isn't far from the quote though.

    My Haaland & Salah 11:

    Pickford Turner
    Gvardiol Munoz Hall Barco Harwood-B
    Salah Eze Nkunku ESR Bobb
    Haaland Isak Solanke

I think I'm GTG for the first few GW's atleast.

Right after major shifts I am on the following:

    Raya (Fab)
    Konsa-Gvardiol-Martinez (Van de Ven, Barco)
    Son-Gordon-Jota-ESR (Rogers)
    Haaland-Havertz-Isak

Could easily swap Saka & Solanke for Son & Havertz then use 0.5 somewhere, possibly a better back-up keeper.

      Depends where that 1.0 goes.
At the same price I'd go Bowen, but for the mill saved Kudus could be killer.

Kudus it is. The spare funds will be used for a 2nd playing GK, which could offset any points difference with Bowen

Hall - more exciting pick but rotation risk
      Konsa - safe pick

For me I would be inclined to take a chance on Hall. I think he will start LB in GW1 but beyond that is the issue. Howe may want to take a pragmatic approach in certain games which could mean Burn/Livramento starts LB.

    Hope you're all well!

I'm just starting to get into creating my team and catching up with FPL news.
One thing I have noticed is that alot of people have shifted from Gordon, despite his home form last season.
    What's the reason?

This is my team, so far (subject to change:)

    Henderson
    TAA Barco Harwood Gvardiol Robinson
    Saka Nkunku Eze Gordon Smith-Rowe
    Muniz Haaland Isak

    Raya (Vladimarsson)
    Hall, Porro, Trent(Barco, Mykolenko)
    Eze, Jota, Nkunku, Gordon, (Bobb)
    Haaland, Isak, Solanke

Jota looks very good in pre-season, think hes the better option than salah??

I would go for Gordon plus the 1m. That flexibility of the 1m is sure to come in handy.
I don't really rate United they are basically a mid-table team, so over priced for FPL

      Gordon the obvious one.

Kulusevski is one I have, can rotate him as well as the 1m saving gives another rotation option. Villa look good gw3 and 4 when Spurs have difficult fixtures.

I'm pretty set on 90% of the below. The conundrum I'd like your help with is the following.

Do I stick with Szob (hoping he plays #10) and Rogers (hopefully covering any surprise benching of the 1st 11) or switch to a rotating pair of 5.5s (most likely ESR and Murphy to begin with) and another 0.5 to upgrade 4.0 def.

    Hendo/4.0
    Gabriel/Porro/Robinson/Bellis/Barco
    Saka/Gordon/Jota/Szob/Rogers
    Haaland/Isak/Solanke

    1. The Tonberry
      • 1 Year

Think the rotating 5.5 mids is the best way to go.
