Whether it’s questions on your latest drafts, specific players, differentials or anything in between, Scout’s Deputy Editor will tackle whatever’s thrown at him.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. That's sort of how I understand it! Although in your example you would have 3 the week later. So once you have 5 in the bank, you could make 3 transfers for 2 weeks in a row, or you could make 2 transfers for 3 weeks in a row.

      1. GreennRed
        • 14 Years

Sound. Just as long as they don't reset the FTs to 1 for the next GW. Could be useful for saving chips until later in the season and negotiating blank gameweeks.

      gw2 +1 =1
      gw3 +1 =2
      gw4 +1 =3
      gw5 +1 =4
      gw6 +1 = 5
      gw7 use 3f/t =2 left +1 for gw7 =3
      gw8+1 =4 etc etc
thats my understanding anyway, surely you dont lose 1 gw7 just because youve banked 5,otherwise just use 3 t/fs gw6 and have 1 in hand so for dw7 not sure now

I think he looks good - but the more I read, the less it looks like he'll a) start or b) not get subbed early.

They have a lot of mids/forwards.

Nkunku will be the first name on the teamsheet.

Most minutes in pre season and all around most threatening player we have used in pre season.

He's easily the most undervalued player in the game, imo.

One each from these defensive options (I don't have Raya):

    1) Trent & Munoz
    2) Saliba & Porro

    a) Hall
    b) Robinson
    c) Davis

Tough. 1 has the highest upside IMO, but 2 is more reliable. I'd probably lean towards 1. It's very close.

As for the second one, I've gone for Hall, but Robinson is also a good pick. Robinson more nailed but Hall plays for the better team. I wouldn't go Davis.

Maybe over thinking at this points:
A is current draft, B potential change. I'll play 343 - opinions please!

Is it too risky to go with Sels for 3 GWs before a WC? GW 3 fixture is the day after the transfer window closes. What are the odds that a new keeper is signed and played before GW4? Any news or sources I can take a look at?

I think reality is he definitely plays tomorrow and even if they signed another GK this week then he will play next week as the new one settles in. More likely that he will just be their keeper for the season.

I don’t see us getting another keeper. Sels has performed well since he came in January. We signed a Brazilian keeper in the summer but Sels is still first choice afaik.

I’m quite surprised there hasn’t been more chat around tactics and the new rules with rolling transfers

If you pick nailed players and have a half decent bench could conceivably roll the first 3 or 4 game weeks and play a ‘mini wildcard’

    1. Deulofail
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 3 months ago

This site isn't for chat anymore. For me, as soon as I heard about the 5FT limit, I decided to WC early instead of trying to eke it out as long as poss, as normal. You can have a full quota of 5 transfer by GW7, potentially, with unlimited transfers for one of the gameweeks in between. Just 4 GWs without making a transfer, split by a WC.

    2. Tellloth
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

It has been core to my thinking behind team selection. I've struggled between choosing shorter term, higher upside (value, points) players vs nailed, reliable ones. I've settled largely with higher risk, thinking I'll make early transfers unless I luck out with choosing the right players to gain value. Then whenever I do wildcard (GW6 a possibility at the moment), I'll go for safer picks to save transfers if I can.

    Can't. Stop. Tinkering.

    Henderson (Matthews)
TAA - Quansah - Hall (Robinson - Konsa)
    Salah (c) - Saka - Son - Bruno (Rogers)
    Isak - Muniz - Wood

Kind of obsessed with no-Haaland and that strong midfield. Son and Bruno decent differentials too, as is Salah with the armband.

With 5 players (incl captain) in the first two games, I call this my "Season over by Sat 2.30 PM" draft. 🙂

Talk some sense to me, please!

    Henderson
    Mitchell, Hall, Gabriel
    Gordon, Bruno, Saka, Nkunku
    Muniz, Isak, Haaland

    Turner, ESR, Quansah, Barco

I went without LIV players in first eleven, thinking Jota could drown going from GW3. Is it relevant considering to replace Saka with Jota, and use money to improve Nkunku or Muniz?

One thing to consider regarding Mitchell is we are heavily linked with Glasner's old left back "Robin Gosens" who is even more attacking than Mitchell.

Hello fellas, care to rate my team? After weeks of tinkering, I have struck a sweet spot in my team where I'm satisfied with all parts by having players who cover all the bases I care for in the team.

    Raya
    Gvardiol, Porro, Barco
    Saka, Jota, Bruno, Eze, ESR
    Haaland, Isak

    Valdimarson, Robinson, Johnson, Jebbison

    Couple of points:
    - Raya as the cover for best defence in the league
    - Attacking minded defenders who should more times than not cover the inevitable loss of CS
    - Couple of talisman players with pens and all set pieces (Bruno, Eze, Isak)
    - Couple of best attacking options from the best attacking teams (Saka, Haaland)
    - wildcards with some risk but high ceiling (ESR, Jota) who can be sold if not performing/benched/injured
    - excited to start with 352 for the first time. I think there is a real value in mids this year and easier to jump to others if mine are not performing

    Hendo
