WC team. Looking okay? I'm pretty happy with it and aware of no Haaland and the Lewis risk.

    Raya - 4m
    Trent - Robbo - Konsa - Lewis - 4m
    Salah - Palmer - Saka - Eze - Rogers
    Watkins - Muniz - 4.5m

On WC Lewis & Nedel are problems but Konsa & Greaves are solutions. Muniz has the fixtures and is due.

If you’re on a WC wouldn’t you find a way to accommodate Watkins give the pedigree/fixtures?

Hadn’t considered it could be affordable but just tried with a cheap defense plus Raya + Robbo and does seem a potential option - thanks

Ange presser later today but looking like Son CF again.

"Solanke remains doubtful for the weekend and Richarlison felt something and was struggling so also being assessed. VDV currently expected to be available for selection."

    Need some advice here:
Quansah + Solanke > Robinson + Joao Pedro (FT)

    Henderson
    Saliba-Porro-Quansah
    Saka-ESR-Gordon-Jota
    Haaland-Solanke-Isak

    Turner-Hall-Minteh-Faes

      Just do the Solanke move.

As frustrating as Quansah is, there will be a better pool of defenders to pick from in GW4. He's not gonna drop in price again before the deadline and Hall/Faes can cover for this week.

Slot on Chiesa: "I'm excited we brought him in. He can play on the right, the left and through the middle. Interesting signing. We should take care with him. We will build him up in the right way and hopefully see his quality in near future."

6 options vying for 3 spots:
    Diaz Jota Salah
    Gakpo Darwin Chiesa

If I had to guess they will most of the time use him as a sub to have a low amount of minutes to prevent him from getting injured.

Slot on Chiesa injury history: "It's true he had a long-term injury with his ACL but the rest just minor injuries. We have a lot of trust in our performance staff. He's one of four wingers we have."

Seems like Slots sees him primarily as a CF. Obviously injuries may dictate and he can fill in at LW/RW

That's really interesting that he said 4.

I'm guessing that's Salah, Chiesa, Diaz, Gakpo.

So that would mean he doesn't consider Jota as a 'winger'. That bodes well. Looks like he'll continue to be first choice CF unless Darwin suddenly decides to come good.

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 6 Years

Not good news for Jota/Diaz owners as Gakpo/Nunez is also fit now so basically 3 players competing for their spots and Salah might get the odd rotation with Chiesa but prob only in the Champs League

This is the issue. By their own rules they can't take both. Worst case scenario is Brentford have a pouty toney stuck at brentford come september 2nd(Saudi deadline). Would mean my wissa punt may be a bit premature. Hoping he beats osimhen to the signature

        1. Skalla

Could be a really last minute deadline move for Toney to Chelsea if Al Ahli decide on Osimhen and Toney realises Chelsea wages is atleast better than Brentford...

Reportedly the Toney deal is signed and sealed. Oshimen hasn't agreed anything yet, but as mentioned above they can't take both as:
            A) They will exceed the foreign player limit;
            B) They don't have enough money to complete both deals.

Think I’m set on a GW6 WC, when I will ditch Haaland until GW9 (SOU H) for Salah. Team is very meh but I think holding out until GW6 will set me in the best stead.

    Henderson
    TAA Johnson Robinson (Hall Quansah)
    Saka Jota Mbeumo Eze Rogers
    Haaland(C) Isak (Muniz)

Plan to roll next week and then take a -4 in GW 5 to go:
    Saka + Isak + Quansah -> Salah(C) + J. Pedro + Porro.

Best laid plans eh? Thanks for coming to my Ted talk and Queue all the injuries xD

I started with Quansah, Barco, Nkunku and Solanke in to GW1 which resulted in to a quite unfortunate situation and now ahead of GW3 I'm quite confident with the following team. I got Konsa for Quansah (after GW1) and did Nkunku/Solanke to Rogers/Watkins (-4) last Sunday avoiding all the price drops. Bit risky but I would say it were the right decisions, agree?

    GTG?

    Henderson

On WC I plan to have Mbeumo and Flekken

    Would you go:

    A) Valdimarsson (cover for Flekken)
    B) Any other random 4.0 GK (leave a spot open in case I want Mbeumo for the double up)

Would rather leave that spot open and pick a random 4.0m , would not want to be stuck with any of these 4.0m keepers in my team and fine to use a FT for an injured keeper

    How's it looking?

    Raya
    Gvardiol, VDV, Lewis
    Salah, Palmer, ESR, Rogers
    Haaland, Havertz, Pedro

    (Fabianski, Robinson, Nedeljkovic, Winks)

    Havertz, Gvardiol (4.5M) over Saka, 4.5D (4.5F)?

    Cheers

Looks good but I would want to keep that 3rd Villa spot open for Watkins in case he starts firing so prob only one of Konsa or Martinez
