How Neale interprets Arteta's vague comments on Raya is going to be crucial.

Need to get this one right after saying Isak would start last week. Lots of people on wildcard are relying on this.

      Sels/Onana/Muric?

I think I'm going Onanist on WC - next 2 fixtures aren't ideal but I trust the save points marginally more than the other 2. All 3 I see as part of reasonably solid defences, teams who look like they'll play out a lot of low scoring games where the GK can sneak into bonus. Don't really trust Brentford / Chelsea

I wouldn't trust Onana to save a Word document, unbelievably frustrating keeper

          😆

Partly I've ended up here because my defender rotations work a lot better with Forest/Ipswich/Brentford than with Man Utd in there (been trying a few combinations, like Sels with Dalot/De Ligt). I do value your insight as one of the few realists among Man Utd fans, but he has looked pretty good this season from what I've seen. Definitely a pick that's got some doubters but f- it, I think I'm going with it. I hate GKs anyway, except the venerable, retired, saved-a-pen-from-a-Dortmund-player TKT...

Nah I get it, and he has great moments (like the double save versus Palace), but it feels like every 1v1 might as well be a pen. Gets beat on his near post all the time too, for some reason.

There are definitely worst picks, but we're not conceding 20+ shots a game anymore, so can't him racking up many save points. I think the De Ligt combo you mentioned is probably better because he looks really dangerous in the air - scored already and could have had a brace against Palace. He's probably the one who looks most like scoring at the minute, it's a sad state of affairs.

Oh actually the other option I was considering was Pickford, but got somewhat talked out of it by an Everton fan yesterday. Still, with Branthwaite back, I think he could start turning things around now.

Will have a final tinker today. I'm also not too sure about Konate so maybe be able to do Pickford + De Ligt while keeping the NFO/IPS/BRE rotation (+ Gabriel)

Pickford's going to have to go full Sunderland mode to keep Everton up, so he's a decent shout I think. I remember him having stinkers early on before turning into the best keeper last season, so we know he's got it in him.

And yet for PSxG-GA/90 he is 11th.
Way behind Henderson (3rd), Onana (5th) and Ramsdale (2nd).

Unsustainable numbers. Raya's not going to have clueless Ruben Dias passing it at him hard 10 times a match.

I read he has had the same big chances as Haaland. 19g 18a last season. Not too shabby. Scary going without Liverpool on a WC though.

Meh. Can't have them all. There's other options besides Liverpool. I like Diaz but his minutes will be managed as the season moves forward I reckon. International break coming up and he'll be traveling to South America again. Then it's Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, Villa, Southampton, Man City, Newcastle. Happy to look elsewhere.

I reckon Haaland, Watkins and Solanke (from GW8) are the three forwards to own.

That's not including champions league games. Eg Liverpool play Real Madrid in the midweek after Southampton and before Man City. Basically it's a game every three days (including internationals) for Diaz until January.

This is pep managing a youngster again, played him hard, gives him a decent rest and allows walker to get back into the fold. Might not be this week but he will get his run in the team again very soon, especially now with a midfield slot released.

Keep talking myself out of choosing Diaz over Salah on my WC. Feel like it's a trap and the Salah will be essential in a few weeks...

If you have Haaland, looking at the city fixtures coming up, the armband will likely be on him for the next few game weeks so I think you can go without Salah and use the 5 mil difference on the rest of your squad

Salah is salah. What Diaz is doing doest seem sustainable.

    3. gunner 2727

If not captaining him salah just becomes another option in the premium midfield list…. At present Diaz allows other options like Saka and palmer as well as Watkins/havertz with the money saved. I’m as high as I’ve been before without salah and palmer at all and saka for only one match, but I’m fully aware they could all kill me at any time!

Not really sure, being a bit of latecomer to Forest defence, but I think I fancy a bit of Milenkovic set piece threat, especially with JWP now starting.

Historically, it looks like Aina has never topped 2-3 assists / 1 goal per season. Milenkovic had a 5 goal season for Fiorentina & a couple of 3s

Are there any Brentford fans on here who have a view on Carvalho and if he's likely to get consistent starts? I have the below draft but is a little dependent on him getting regular minutes otherwsie bench looks weak:

    Flekken
    Gabriel / Davis / TAA
    Diaz / Rogers / Saka / Mbeumo
    Haaland / Havertz / Jackson

    Fabianksi / Lewis / Carvalho / Faes

It would be a surprise to me if Carvalho started over either Lewis Potter and Schade. Regardless, early subs and checking the team sheets will be the norm. I can't see a scenario where Carvalho comes in and rips it up from the off.
Dibling might be the cheapy of choice.

In terms of Haaland captaincy, I think he is the obvious one and Newcastle's poor defence should be a feast of goals for him.

However, in previous seasons he blanked from time to time, mainly in away games. And my feeling is that the referees will target him as a consequence of his poor behaviour last weekend.

It is just a gut feeling, but something is telling me that I should go with Saka instead.

My 2 FTs next week we’re going to be:

Salah and Pedro for Haaland and Carvalho

Exact money which won’t be possible next week. I always prefer to wait for more information but really tempted for a -4 this week

If I wait til next week I will have more information with injuries etc but Salah and Pedro will reduce and Haaland will increase leaving me lucky to get the Vicar of Dibling

Anyone else in a similar dilemma or has any advice

I would roll and do them next week.

That’s the dilemma though. Salah will drop after tonight. Pedro probably too and Haaland will probably rise. If they’re all just 0.1 that leaves with a 4.5m mid

I was actually looking forward to Salah being a quasi differential this week

Got this weekends matches plus midweek euros so think I’ll wait

Guys, are we overrating Raya? If Arsenal's defence is a good as we think it is, and they were last season to be fair, why would we pick Raya?
The amount of saves he's had is not sustainable, and if it is, Arsenal are likely to concede, so a double defence would not be the best. I think Raya is back to getting 6 points, but I could be wrong, obviously.

So almost half of Ars total shots on target came in their last match vs City.
By the same logic, ppl going for Flekken, yet Bre are top for shots on target conceded.

100% agree. He has more save points already this season (7) than he got across the entire 23/4 season (5). It's just down to game state of playing with 10 men twice and the fixtures.

If Timber is injured, I think Calafiori would be a much better option for double defence

You're buying Arsenal's cleansheet consistency potential not Raya's saves potential. His save points are a nice bonus if he concedes. I'd be happy with 6 points.

My WC, I refuse to get Haaland

    Sanchez
    Gabrial Porro TAA
    Salah Palmer Saka Rogers
    Watkins Jackson Jiménez

4.0 - Hardwood Bills - Van Den Berg - Winks

Your bench sucks and I don't like Jimenez I think he has poor fixtures. I'd downgrade Palmer to improve the rest of your team. Prefer Watkins and a midfielder to Palmer and Jimenez

It's an awesome non Haaland team. Thinking a few weeks ahead, TAA out to De Light and Jimi out to Solanke could be gold

Don Corleone spot on with his assessment of City Haaland needs to score consistently if City are to stay in title contention

on WC, fairly template but please let me know what you think?

    Sels
    Robbo Gabriel Timber
    Saka Mbuemo Semenyo Diaz
    Haaland DCL Jackson

    Fabianski Lewis Rogers Greaves

Bit of a benching headache this week, but overall I think a good balance.

Not sure he is a very risky, but I do think his game time could be managed. He's already shown he's Arsenals best out and out wing back and plays the inverted role better than any as well.

Timber more nailed then I realised, easy downgrade if it goes pear shaped

    WC GTG?

    Flekken/Fab
    TAA/Gab/Kerkez/Myk/Greaves
    Saka/Diaz/Mbeum/Semenyo/Mavididi
    Haaland/Watkins/DCL

Wort a punt on Ndoaye over DCL, would mean I could upgrade budget defender.

Also if Raya is out w would you prefer?

    1. Sels
    2. Flekken

    Thanks

If i was going everton attacker, i like the idea of Ndiaye over DCL.

For me, Flekken as you can then do the 4.0 goalie as cover

Consider Martinez, Davis or van de Ven? Was looking at Mazraoui on WC but if Shaw is back will himself or Dalot be rotated ?
