All good options in my opinion. Brighton have horrible fixtures until the end of November. I expect they'll drop off a bit. Solanke could have a field day for the next month, as could any of the other Spurs attackers. Welbeck is due his annual hamstring injury soon too. Creates a very terrifying front three too!

The Verve sang that Love is Pain, but FPL is waiting.

    Waiting for injury news.
Waiting for the midweek European games to be over.
Waiting for the pointless international breaks to be over.
    Waiting for the gameweek deadline.
    Waiting for the line ups.
Waiting for the games to kick off.
    Waiting for tomorrow's games.

After all this waiting we get rewarded with a 5 second button click to transfer out a player.

      He's my 4.3m on Wildcard.

Um'd and err'd about going back to Lewis Hall - think that might have been the better option anyway, but just left it with Mykolenko as he's mostly a sub for a short/medium term given the fixtures (not sure if could predict when Hall starts or not.)

Luckily Greaves (WHU) inst the worst backup on the bench this week.

I guess the good thing about the time line being 2-3 weeks is that he should be back after International Break.

The bad thing is that he's an Everton defender

That's only true if you ignore history and focus on the small sample of this season though

Saka has plenty of double digits in the last 2-3 seasons, especially at home against relegation fodder

Its could work out this week but Haaland has that higher ceiling and bigger chance of going nuclear.

Saka can sometimes be to be the Bridesmaid.and therefore not go crazy on the point scoring.

He has a higher ceiling generally sure but not this week when you factor in opposition strength IMO

Like I say, 'could' being the key word. That's the chance you take in this game.

If you're a betting man, the odds are in Haaland's favour, even with the opposition considered. Arsenal's attacking threat is more widespread.

I'd go Saka if I thought Haaland would blank. But I don't think he'll blank.

I'm only willing to go against Haaland if I'm confident my captain does well and also reasonably confident Haaland could blank. Otherwise the risk isn't worth it imo.

It's not enough. The Arsenal split of points means they could still get outscored by Haaland. The week to go against was last week with Newcastle away being a fairly tough fixture traditionally and yet Saka and Havertz barely outscored Haaland.

I agree last week was also a good week to captain Saka/Havertz over Haaland and they were both extremely unlucky not to haul with their underlying stats - Haaland cappers got lucky

Fulham is a tougher fixture than Newcastle on current form and Saints are the whipping boys

It's tricky. I still want to see what Palmer can do against a better defence than whm, wolves and highline kamikaze bri. Of which he's going to be facing a lot of in this coming immediate fixtures.
I mean we have forgotten than reason a lot of wc didn't go for him last gw was because of his lower output the 3 gws before that.

The £5m ish saved can mean 2 or 3 improves that should comfortably make up for any shortfall between Salah and Palmer or turns a budget pick into a premium one. Salah's form and EO hurts, but its also an eggs and baskets thing.

It’s a hard one, for sure. I feel like Jackson is a fairly reliable source of regular points, so although he won’t match Palmer he will still score well.

Don’t trust any other Liverpool attackers other than Mo, though.

For me it would come down to whether you would ever captain either and the form of the teams ie ability to generate chances. All things being equal go for the lower priced one especially if you have Haaland as you would captain him a lot.

    Raya
    TAA, Gvardiol, Saliba,
    Semenyo, ESR, Rogers, Saka, Mbeumo,
    Haaland, Solanke

    Bench: 4m, Konsa, Pedro, Barco

1 ft, 1.2m in the back. Options are:

    1) Play ESR and roll
    2) Play Konsa and roll
    3) ESR to Johnson
    4) Pedro to Evanilson

Main concerns are doubling up on Bournemouths poor three fixtures after this one, getting rid of ESR when he's a good budget asset, and a Pedro price drop.

My WC decision to go for Palmer paid off but it has left me with DCL and Wood as 2nd and 3rd strikers which still feels off. 2FT but no budget for upgrades without a downgrade. Any of these worth losing?

    a. Gabriel (likely to £4.5m which permits a striker to become Solanke or other up to £7.7m striker)
    b. Trent (likely to Lewis with enough cash to spend £8.5m on a striker)
    c. Saka (downgrade to Martinelli is a big boost for funds, or someone else and get Havertz up front)

Or just roll another transfer as the three above all have good fixtures?

    Raya (Fabianski)
    Gabriel, Konsa, Trent (Greaves, Harwood-Bellis)
    Saka, ROgers, Mbeumo, Palmer (Winks)
    Haaland, DCL, Wood

After 6 GWs. Best 40m for 4 attackers (original prices, ignoring transfers and captains)

    Haaland/Salah
    196 points: Haaland/Salah/McNeil/Welbeck
    no-Haaland/Salah
    168 points: Palmer/Saka/Watkins/Son

Since McNeil/Welbeck are within 2 points of Saka/Watkins, there are no no-Haaland or no-Salah combinations that would have outscored the Haaland/Salah combination (at least so far).

    Best 2-premium defense:
    99 points: Gabriel/TAA/Dalot

How much do you think Haaland outscores Watkins over the next half dozen gameweeks? Or, alternatively, how much do Trent, Eze/ESR, and Jackson outscore VDV, McNeil, and Kulu? Watkins started slow; Haaland started strong. Last 3 GWs, Watkins is up 30 to 24.

Well its really for this week as haaland will come in next gw for sure. If I bring haaland this week then I'll need to lose Watkins and Trent (+ jackson)

Okay, then I'd wait. Fulham have not been horrible. International Break might cause issues that you would want to know about before WC, right?

That's my thinking. Hoping Fulham can keep him quiet!

Big Ange mate: “First thing’s first, last night all good. The boys are fairly tired, but physically, no issues from last night’s game.

“Of the guys who stayed back… Destiny, we think will be okay. Obviously we’ve got training today and tomorrow, so he has got to get through that. Sonny unlikely, again he’s pushing hard, but I just don’t think the turnaround will be quick enough for him to be available at this stage.

“That’s it, the others are long term.” – Ange Postecoglou

    Pep:
    “Yep.”

Just so long as he doesn't crop Rogers/watkins in the process.

Pretty keen to bring in Solanke next week for the West Ham game but also want to attack the Southampton game this weekend. Is it worth taking a -4 and if so who to get for Mateta?

    A - Havertz
    B - Solanke
    C - Diaz > Johnson
    D - Other suggestion?

    Henderson
    Gabriel - Konsa - Robinson
    Trossard - Diaz - Palmer - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Mateta - Wood

    Valdi - Winks - Myko - Mosquero

It's about what you'd plan to do with Havertz after this week too.

If you'd keep him for a while, the hit is maybe worth it. If you don't plan to keep him (eg move to Solanke after still) then I don't think I'd take a hit for Havertz - I'd be tempted to just go straight for Solanke, given BHA is potentially a decent fixture to score in too.

I don't think a hit is 100% necessary for either, but play how you wan to play.

Personally I'd be looking for team leaks tomorrow and if Diaz is benched, perhaps go for Johnson with the hit. Not guaranteed to pay off but can't expect Winks to do much (and other 2 bench players won't play either by sounds of it.)

Very sound advice - thanks. I don't see Hav as a long term and so might get Solanke for a -4 in the hope that he can pay it back v Brighton or Diaz > BJ if we get a leak tomorrow. I like the idea of having both Solanke & BJ as Spurs fixtures turn.

Pick two out of these 4:

    Jackson
