    A) Konate/Wood (or Welbeck) to Emerson/Jackson
    B) Mbeumo/ Wood (or Welbeck) to Bowen/Jackson

Mbeumo for Bowen looks sideways, Bowen has like 0.4xg total in last 4 matches

yeah im also considering A, Mbeumo not that attacking threat anymore since Wissa is back, but still can haul.

Yeh would prioritise Konate out before Mbeumo. I’d sell Wood personally he’s been over performing & maybe look at Gomez over Emerson?

good shout with Gomez over Emerson, if hes nailed. Wood/Welbeck im unsure. Wood is nailed and always up for a goal. Welbeck could be rotate with Ferguson

    A) Mbuemo to saka free
    B) solanke to Jackson free and next week or week after Bruno to saka.

Option B will tell you why did I seek advice. B would get me Jackson this week and saka next week. B means I am selling Bruno, A means selling Mbuemo.

      Why not Gvardiol?

Confident he gets a starting place back?

Pep must have regarded him as a part of the defensive fragility. Despite his offensive threat.

I think he gets it back, they didnt do any better without him and the fixtures improve now. He's better for them in games where they are expected to win. (which is most)

Jackson starts and plays most of the game, but has just completed 90 mins + four times.

Does that sway you towards Cunha who is a 90 min. man?

Or is it worth the extra money for the team and fixtures etc that Chelsea and Jackson offer.

    1. Captain Mal
      • 1 Year

I went with Cunha, but it's a close call.

I was for Cunha but the January fixtures extend the appeal for Jackson.

I have Pedro too and if you're getting 70 mins then you miss out on that last 25 mins or so which can be decisive.

        1. Captain Mal
          • 1 Year
          1 year, 3 days ago

Chelsea is a much better team than Wolves, but they have only scored 4 extra goals so far. If you consider that Cunha has better expected minutes and more routes to points (more creative, set pieces, etc.), not to mention the 1m price difference, Cunha looks to have better prospects.

Jackson has better fixtures for longer, that's the only argument for him I think, but who knows what might have happened in 1 month's time, I'd rather choose the player I think is better right now.

Jackson would be the better option and the forward in best form. But with the fixture congestion I believe he might be rotated in the next few GWs. The 5th YC is also looming, so it is indeed a very close call. Either way, I think you won't go wrong with any option.

        I agree

I'm not that concerned if he misses one match.

And Chelsea have a B team competing and travelling in Europe.

I don't think the fixture congestion is a major issue over December for professional players.

    Finally get Saka?

    Raya (Fabianski)
    VVD, Gvardiol, Digne (VdB, Bednarek)
    Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Bruno (Rogers)
    Cunha, JP, Welbeck

    a) BF to Saka (was holding for the last 3 GW) [can do Mbeumo instead of Bruno]
    b1) Gvardiol/Digne to Gabriel (-4 and I don't love it) vs.
b2) Welbeck to Jackson (-4 and with the 5th YC on the horizon and a possible future rotation with Nkunku due to fixture congestion)

    What do you guys think?

        Thanks!

Which upgrade in defence would you suggest?
        - Gvardiol has been leaky, but City fixtures soon get better and he usually is the best attacking threat.
        - VVD is okay (was a direct FT from TAA, due to his injury)
        - Digne has been rotated a lot and Villa are in awful form too. Maybe he would be the one I swap. Worth the hit this GW though?
        - VdB and Bednarek are more bench fodders to me.

2 free transfers, 0.3m in the bank

Starting Smith Rowe ahead of Rogers, right?
Thoughts on Konate replacement? Timber? Gomez maybe?
Also, Welbeck's last games haven't been great. Sell for Evanilson or is it too sideways?

    1. Sebastes

      ESR > Rogers

Konate replacement is Gomez or Colwill for me. I'm guessing you got Konate because of cheap way into Pool defence, so why not just continue that. Colwill even cheaper and better fixtures for me, but a in a worse defense.

I'd keep Welbeck, no rush in getting rid with his fixtures.

    Arsenal injury news update

Bukayo Saka is fine, 'no problem,' said Mikel Arteta, but Calafiori and Gabriel will be checked...

'Obviously, [Riccy] had a very serious knee injury, and he's doing really well, but we have to manage his minutes...

The withdrawal of Gabriel at West Ham was linked to the injury he picked up in Lisbon. 'He did great to be part of [the squad], but with [scoreline] and with the niggle that he’s feeling, we decided to take him off.'

      Bench Rogers

I think Gabriel starts so bench RAN away unless you think he shows attacking intent at Goodison Park?

RAN is a sell soon enough.

      1. Sebastes

        Cheers!

Rogers is the reasonable one I guess, if I don't just want to hedge a little.

I get the reasoning behind RAN, but if I go both Mitoma and Pedro I might just double down and not play Robinson as he's home to Brighton.

I have a planned transfer for RAN but given he has IPS and lei in 16 & 17 I'm not in too much of a hurry. Might be Gomez next week though as he's emerged as a nicely priced option.

I think Saka is a must so that rules out C even though I really like Jackson and planning for getting him in myself.

Øde better fixtures, Fernandes pk's and set pieces.

I'd go B ultimately, but I'm a Gunner and maybe biased.

How would you deal with a major mistake you've just made wich cost you about 30-40 points? I swapped saka/stewart for bruno/isak and if I had kept saka i would have captained him. Would you just revert back for minus points or what would you do?

    1. kennethrhcp
      • 15 Years

      When did you swap?

I know you're down on yourself and we all would be but would you really have captained? Hindsight is great but if you would have captained him... why did you sell him?

Can't correct what happened but can control what you do now. Who gets more points going forward in your head?

Thanks! I did the move for gw 12. Last week I didn't do any moves. I would definitely have had captained saka in gw 13 (not gw12) if I hade kept him. But that doesn't matter now as you correctly pointed out. Well, well it's a total mess now so. 🙂

How about if I post my team and you can recommend a transfer? 🙂

You can’t have swapped Saka out for Bruno this week? So it’s not quite that simple as presumably you’ve been better off in certain weeks too. Anyway, best to just forget it and do what’s best from your team from here

Thank you! I made the moves for gw12, not last week. I have posted my team above.

Of course I just have to look forward, but I'm still thinking about just reverting to saka+stewart. 🙂

I like switching back from Bruno to Saka. If Isak’s fit maybe you could instead fund it by doing Mbeumo to Semenyo (and play Rogers over him this week) as an alternative.

            Good advise, but 0.2 short.

            Option 1: bruno+isak to saka+pedro for free

Option 2: Roll. Play salah, palmer, bruno, mbeumo, rogers, jackson, wissa this week. Then next week I will have more information on bruno, and I will know if I prefer cunha/pedro or both and if I have to make defensive changes because the back line is also problematic.

The Liverpool XI last time Newcastle won that fixture:

        Mignolet
        Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Moreno

I keep going back and forth between B and D.

Looking at how they've performed last season and so far this season for home and away games I'm really tempted by Saka, even taking opponent strength into account.

Palmer the best fixture but a slight minutes concern.
Salah on fire but tricky fixture.
Saka the only one playing at home.

      It's close, but probably Palmer.
