Looks like there more upside to using assistant manager chip on a inform team in the bottom half of the league with a DGW than say picking Man City for 3 easy fixtures that they are expected to win. Might appeal to likes of Wolves/Ipswich/Leicester in GW36-38 if they still in a relegation scrap but showing some form in the previous gameweeks.

If that is the group think, do you expect FPL Towers to price relegation battle managers higher than mid table managers. The fairest pricing would be to price everyone the same, bar Southampton.

I know Mbeumo has just done me a massive solid, but considering Brentford and Mbeumo seem incapable of playing away, and the fact that 4 of their next 5 home games are against Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham, I’m struggling to see more than a couple of returns over the next 10 GWs.

However the biggest problem I’m having is finding a replacement that excites me. Bowen is probably the obvious choice but, although the next 3 fixtures look nice enough, fixtures don’t look great after that. Tempted by punts on the likes of Gordon or Sancho hoping for a change of form but I don’t think I’ve ever had a risky move like that actually pay off.

    Thoughts? Best replacement for Mbeumo?

    A - Go boring - Bowen
    B - Pretend it’s 2023/24 - Gordon
    C - Go punty - Sancho
    D - Someone else

I don’t believe in records against certain teams.

Chelsea are currently a hell of a lot better than all of the previous times that Mbeumo has played them.

          And what?

Chelsea finished 6th and 12th the last two seasons. They’re currently second and flying.

Brentford have 1 point away from home this season. Mbeumo has 1 goal away from home this season. I would imagine those stats are much more relevant than stats that happened one, two, and three years ago!?

As an Arsenal fan and someone who watches a fair bit of other teams. I don’t know why people capped Saka vs Fulham away. They are a good side and big at the back so I’m not sure why people went that way over Palmer and even Haaland.

The major weakness of the new chip is that it blocks out 3x GWs for using any other chip. Can see lots of managers getting caught out, esp those who have saved all their other chips. Makes me think I should use BB before gw24.

Especially when you think they sometimes drop in double weeks at short notice. You would be screwed in terms of using a chip if you have already committed to the assistant manager chip. It seems they haven't thought this through.
