        Really dislike it when ppl try the “rough benched a CS from my 5th defender, smooth scored 110pts” routine

          Thanks, I have had 13 double digit bench scores before this weekend so it really is normal for me to get a bit of the benching wrong, but for the right reasons.

          It’s the first week for a long time where I didn’t have a flag ‘and’ couldn’t decide my bench … Diaz v Wissa v Palmer, Kepa v Sels, ok fixtures on paper for Mykolenko & Milenković.

          Normally BB after WC in the doubles, but had so many flags in GW20 I had to play it then.

      Smooth as can be this week. I did J.Pedro and Bruno to Gapko and Kluivert and got 92 points. Wood and Palmer were my only players that blanked. I halved my rank from 500k to 250k

      Smallest of green arrows from a very average score
      Brought in Gakpo

      Rough:
      Sold Haaland for Gakpo, ideally should have funded elsewhere!
      Started Pedro + Rogers 1 pointers
      Benched yet another Semenyo haul, logic was NFO defence was decent and I had Sels!

      These sub 6m players of Semenyo, Amad, Rogers and Pedro just keep giving me headaches:
      - Pedro 18 points vs. avl + ARS vs. 4 points from ips, mun, EVE. - - Semenyo 26 points vs. NFO, new, che vs. 11 from EVE + ful + CRY.

      Rough:
      Had the armband on Isak all week (which would have been the only differential in a team that has become very template), but changed it to Salah on Friday because I thought that Newcastle might perhaps be adversely affected by Storm Eowyn causing their flight to be rescheduled.
      The result was a small red arrow, and my rank has been becalmed at about 2.4m for four weeks now.

          The game wasn't likely to be called off - but if Newcastle's routine was upset by flying Saturday morning instead of on Friday then Isak might perhaps not have been quite at his best.

      I’ve heard crazier but it seems sideways to move to gakpo who has 1 away goal this season. Feels like chasing points, Diaz is due a haul. I do own Gakpo though but I feel like you are chasing this weeks points

        Could also be Faes Mateta/Wood to TAA Ndiaye to go all in on doublers and keep the faith in Diaz (though said faith has already all but dwindled these last couple of weeks!)

        Keeps a FT spare then as well, but does create benching headache with a front eight of:

        Salah Diaz Palmer Mbeumo Rogers
        Mateta/Wood Isak Ndiaye

        Hmm…fair, I would of course much rather have Kluivert than Outtara long term, but to be honest the funds were more needed to try and squeeze Trent in without selling Gabriel.

        Also think I prefer Mateta fixtures to Wood’s, though do have more value tied up (0.3m vs 0.1m) in the latter

      Personally not doing it but did consider for awhile whether it’s worth a Diaz to Gakpo switch (2 transfers).

      I think I’m going to lie in the bed I’ve made, even with its broken springs and lumps and stained sheets tbh, but can understand if others make a more comfortable choice,
