I actually think he might do quite well there. Feels a bit like the Lingaard West Ham season potentially. We know when Rashford is on it he's a very good player in this league but for whatever reason be it confidence, fitness, the team being garbage for a long time.... I don't know but if Emery can get the best out of him he'll do very well. Change of scenery could just be what he needed all along.

Yeah, pretty interesting move. Would agree that his issues are largely confidence/attitude-based, so there's potential for a resparking of form at Villa

Could do, but very much a wait and see for me. Just saw a YouTube with the dude saying Villa wouldn't be paying 250K+ wages if they weren't convinced it's worth it. Um, forget Coutinho already?

            Villa are paying 70%.

"Agreement in place on loan deal with over 70% salary covered by Villa.

Buy option clause worth £40m also included in contract with potential three year and half deal to follow."

For those asking why the AM points aren’t added to their total. Are you using the app? Because I think there’s a bug in the app (in iOS at least) - I can only see my total player points (not AM), but if you go into your mini leagues it’s correct. Also is correct on the website for me.

Managers who still have AM, holding it for late part of the season or playing it now in 25? I've played TC in 24 and it turned out well (for now) but contemplating if AM can be used in something like 33 with BB in 36

I made a last-day decision to play it now because of the DGW announcement. My view is it must cover a DGW (2 is beter) and there aren't many of them.

Waiting for the double fixtures in 25. I want to get rid of AM as soon as possible and do not want to overthink this chip. If TAA is out, I will get a DGW defender and put AM on Slot. Otherwise, will go to other DGW managers.

It would be tougher in 33 just because of the blank gw34 but you can just use transfers, especially if you build up a stash.

Also FH29 would be the move.

I really think that you can gamble on Brentford in gw30 or gw31.

BB looks best for gw36 now I think.

      1. The Mentaculus
        • 4 Years

Slightly trickier to AM33 since you'd have activate it in 31 if you want to FH34, but we will know the FA Cup semi-finalists before the GW30 deadline (QF are 29/03)

I was set on playing it in 3 standard gameweeks to free up the later, bigger doubles for FH and BB.

Now we'll have a double in 25, I'll be activating then and potentially switching manager in 26 or 27.

Best move for the AM Moyes crew
I don't fancy villa if they get a double what are we thinking

    B. Stick with Moyes maybe dependent on result Vs pool
    C. Something else

I wouldn’t get another Liverpool player if they have DGW25 I would need to get someone playing in BGW29, so Slot covering Liverpool works well for me

No. I sold VVD to get Slot - 10 points from the AM trumps VVD's 6 points, plus the manager is cheaper.

People just saw Slott as the safest routes to wins in back to back doubles

          Could turn out correct

But I'd rather punt on the table bonus in the Merseyside derby

Tbf, gw26 isn't an obvious AM pick and it's blocked the TC Salah in a double

    2. The Big Fella

No because Gakpo and Konate have to take up the space of another player so you have to take into account their points too. Net gain = Slot points - Gakpo/Konate points + 11th player’s points that you have instead of Gakpo/Konate

Because of dgw25, dgw33 becomes smaller

Very disappointed in how the team reveals of FPL General and Lateriser omit their inclusion of the asst mgr chip (in fact Lateriser said he was planning on using the triple captain chip on Salah.) As well the Scout Picks didn't include an asst mgr even though almost all of the 'Good and Great' used their asst mgr. Now I don't blindly follow their advice but why bother writing these articles when they don't even follow their own suggestions?

Yes, there could be some forgiveness in that. But at least the Scout Picks could include their opinion for an asst mgr. This is not sour grapes btw, I'm having a very good gameweek without using any chips, just found the lead up articles to be misleading.

Also, there was no obvious strategy, it was all team dependent. What would've been the best option for one, could've been the worse option for others.
        All time top 10 managers:
        #1 Moyes
        #2 Moyes
        #3 Moyes
        #4 Moyes
        #5 Slot
        #6 Moyes
        #7 TC Salah
        #8 TC Salah
        #9 Slot
        #10 Moyes

Most got Moyes because they already had 3 Liverpool.

I think the double in 25 changed things … made me mover from TC to AM but only committed to it late on

Looks like that's the case. Perhaps an Asst Mgr poll (like the captain poll) could be a suggestion.

No point now, everyone has used the chip

Or: we could think for ourselves for change.

Timing was really annoying. I have AM'ed on Iraola mainly for the next two weeks. When the news came our I wanted to switch to Silva

There will be more great times to use the chip so I don't believe I've missed the boat by any means. I suggested that from gameweek 25 onwards to have a Asst Mgr poll, up to gameweek 36, for those who have not used it yet.

Need TOT and CP wins so even if Eve lose to LIV, there’s table bonus potential for Moyes vs CP in GW25
