Any suggestions? Gordon or Rogers to Bmouth Mid? Will prob try to avoid FH29

    Henderson
    TAA Saliba Hall
    Salah Palmer Gordon Rogers
    Isak Cunha Wood

    Cahill Enzo O’Shea Harwood, 1 FT, 3.4itb

Probably Kluivert if looking for Bournemouth mid although I think he is a minutes risk now...Have myself removed Rogers for Bowen so my recommendation would be remove Rogers and get either Kuivert or Bowen if planning a GW 30/31 WC

Gordon ➡ Kluivert/Semenyo looks like the obvious move.

Would to bench out of this lot?

    Salah, Palmer, Bowen, Kluivert, MGW
    Isak, Mateta, Cuhna

This, although Isak away at Anfield is also a very good call.

          I'd definitely play Isak.

The best players shouldn't be benched in the toughest fixtures, they should rise to the occasion.

Totally agree and I'm definitely starting him.

I'm just a bit too high on Liverpool given their recent form!

I don't think I can bench Isak but I do agree that Liverpool are great and on current form could easily limit his chances. I think MGW at home is the most obvious but always a pain to bench a quality player.

It’s funny how quickly things change on here. Last week it was all about BOU mid double up and selling Isak. This week the opposite. My plan was always to sell Isak for Cunha and Iv stuck to it (Wissa and Wood my other two) I may regret it but my point is not to be swayed by what happens in a single game week. This season more than ever a team can be on fire one week and off the next. Crazy season!

Getting swept up in the ever changing game isn't always bad but I do agree that managers can be slightly short sighted. I've had Isak for a while but knew he was a hold until 29 - transfers are valuable and some people lose the plot with that.

    Current squad:

    Alisson
    Robinson VVD Munoz
    Salah(c) Palmer Mbuemo(vc) Iwobi
    Wood Wissa Isak

    Kepa Murphy Mykolenko Digne

    Assistant Manager > Emery

    1.0m itb and 2ft

I am considering removing Alisson to then gain funds and swap Iwobi to Bowen.
Silly plan? Do I have better options or bigger priorities?

    Advice welcome, thanks

Seems fine. Might consider Murphy - Bowen instead if not on FH29 & bench Iwobi?

If AM is active on Emery, I would use a FT to target table bonus

AM has already been played and finished last GW.

All other chips available, so FH29 is likely.

Rather confusing with the original post.

Alisson/VVD is where you'll get the funds to replace Iwobi

If you're dead-ending on 29, I wouldn't waste a FT on a goalkeeper, especially if you already have Kepa.

Could you downgrade Murphy or VVD instead? Also, the only other thing I can think of is: you'll want Cunha for 29. So, def plan for that, too!

  4. Cesc Pistols
    • 12 Years
    9 months, 23 days ago

    Pickford
    Trent, Munoz, Lewis
    Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Dango
    Isak, Watkins, Pedro

Fabianski; Rogers, Robinson, Greaves. 1.7 ITB and 2 FTs.

Already set on Watkins ➡ Cunha, but should I gamble on another Pedro haul tomorrow or worth doing him ➡ Wood, too?

I know it sounds good, but now he's back AND has a BGW 29 fixture, it feels wrong to sell him.

I think fancy Wood to score against Arsenal (and that might hurt my rank considerably), but I'm keeping Pedro, then.

        You reckon?

As a fellow Arsenal fan, I'm incredibly confident he'll score on Wednesday. Plus, he's a potential captain call for BGW 29, so I'd have to get him in at some point anyway.

Still a tough fixture against the best defence for xGC this season (Understat). Sure get Chris Wood, just don't think you need to do it this GW

            • 12 Years
            9 months, 23 days ago

            Sounds like a plan, man.

Watkins ➡ Cunha this week, save the other FT and reassess next week. Def not a bad position to be in -- especially if Pedro delivers again tomorrow!

  5. Tonyawesome69
    • 7 Years
    9 months, 23 days ago

    Two dilemmas this GW.

    1. Save FT or Pedro to Cunha:
Original plan is to sell Pedro to Cunha and will likely happen before 29 deadline. Just need to workout if saving this GW is better for flexibility and more info after FAC R5 fixtures this weekend. Doesn't sound like Welbeck will start tomorrow. Zabarnyi RC appeal will have an impact as well.

    2. Palmer v Salah captaincy:
Fixture v consistency and form. I think Palmer has the slightly higher ceiling but Salah has the better base (floor) points.

Bussed on Palmer but it'll be a last minute decision.

    (AM24-26, WC30/31, TC32, BB33, FH34)
    1FT 2.4ITB
    Pickford
    Gabriel TAA Munoz
    Salah Palmer Mbeumo Dango
    Isak Watkins Pedro
    (Paulsen Nwaneri Robinson Greaves)

    1. The Mentaculus

I would just go for the Cunha move I think & not be too swayed by JP 'resurgence' given the opposition. Still only had the one shot...

Happier with Salah (C) myself. Given Newcastle's defensive form, and Salah 2G & 1A in each of their last 2 meetings, I don't think his ceiling is too shabby either

      1. Tonyawesome69
        • 7 Years
        9 months, 23 days ago

Yeah, we have the data the last time he got a run of games playing CF and it wasn't great. Just slightly prefer gaining more info and flexibility with 2FTs in 28.

Yup, no issue with set and forget Salah captain snd remove the headache. I just think there's a possible opportunity this GW, certainly targeting the opponent than Chelsea/Palmer form

    2. Cesc Pistols
      • 12 Years
      9 months, 23 days ago

      1. Watkins ➡ Cunha the obvious alternative. That's exactly what I'm doing myself this week.

      2. I wish I had the nerve to captain Palmer, but Salah's form is just too good to be ignores -- especially at home. Not to mention Palmer/Chelsea's form are too poor. That said, the risk/reward of going against Mo this week isn't great at all, imo.

      1. Tonyawesome69

        I won't be selling Watkins until 29.

    Who to bench this GW:
    Salah Palmer Mbuemo Bowen Kluivert

Munoz>RAN next week or week after gives me 11 players for Blank29 without taking any hits.
Or maybe TAA>RAN, will ditch whoever has the least profit tied up.

    Isak and Salah going nowhere.

      I’d ditch TAA over Munoz

You'll want Munoz in GW30 for his 18-pointer at Southampton

Depends on the plans post 30 - don't think I would want to go without Munoz v Southampton

If looking for a 2 week punt worth a look but long term not that great with poor team form, Ok fixtures and loads of positional changes from game to game

    Watkins Rogers to
    Cunha Bowen for free?
Or just Watkins to Cunha & keep 2 FTs for 28?
Also Bowen or one of the Chelsea mids? Or the template kluivert? Not on FH 29 & will WC in 31/32

Have myself done the moves for a hit and if bringing in Bowen look for this week as you have a higher chance of return and lesser risk considering Rogers is injured and probably won't play this week

If I use both my frees I'll bench Pedro though

Pedro wasn't that great against Southampton but depends on your plans long term I suppose because Pedro might match Bowen over a 6 week period I suppose...My thinking has always been bring a player at the start of a good run as it increases the chances of catching a haul

Same thinking for me too, Pedro will anyways go for a city forward or cunha in 29
So might as well continue benching him
