B more upside chasing imo - even for (c), Mateta could be benched and sold for Evanilson last week

Sarr, Marmoush and Mateta could all be benched in 37 after the FAC Cup. Or injured in the final.
I'd want to sell one and Mateta is the biggest issue.
There is always Evanilson with his GW38 fixture and game agaisnt City just after a Cup game?

I’m considering Potter but not sure it’s worth the FT either with Mateta and Munoz needing to be gone for BB38, and maybe even Mateta for next GW and no spare FTs banked

Fallen from 8k > 16k in the last 2 weeks. Gutted does not begin to describe it. 16 points off top10k target. Not being aggressive enough in DGW33 has cost me

Probably have to go rogue with the captaincy next week

Of course, it won’t be on my mind a few days after the end of the season, just as the 3k finish I got last season wasn’t on my mind so soon after. But frustrating to have such a crap end to this season. FPL is a hobby after all

it's disappointing, but you should be proud.

      Great season.

Only ever achieved top 1k in covid because i watched every game.

Got very lucky. West Ham start, Antonio was flying , got on Lingard early, stuff like that.

Was 200 with 3 weeks to go. Didnt go Greenwood for Man Utd triple up.

But it doesn't last long. Last year was just as bad as i missed the deadlin Deadending GW34. And dint bring in White Olise and Mateta (had Eze for their hauls. This decision resulted in a loss of 70 points. That stuck in my throat for a couple of weeks. Lost my ML Usually someone in the top 5k wins it).

Always remember there is the Fear (if there is any, if you genuinly made a mistake in a good position, that was last year)), then the anger, then you have next season 🙂 )

But 16k this year. Wow what an achievement Qaiss

That isn't a boast, That is just one great year in a lot of meh, and I regret playing shield instead of using a sword. 🙂

Top1k in any season is an all-time great season and you must have very fond memories of that 🙂

That DGW34 last season for you sounds painful and would have been insane with those Palace assets going off like that. That was actually my favourite ever FPL week, as I owned White, Havertz, Mateta and others on free hit. Was crazy swings

One thing I used to do and haven’t done recently is just not care about EO, feel like I had more fun playing then and made ‘some’ better decisions. EO matters when you’re in a good rank but I didn’t go Bowen + Saliba/Dias and instead went for Saka who I didn’t think was going to play much, just so I didn’t lose rank. At least 25 points lost from that decision

Top20k is not secure yet, as I’m probably still going to try and push into the top10k somehow with a rogue captaincy

        How has your season gone?

Yeah jumped to 48k today with 8 points of my BB lol

          Pickford O'Brien Williams and Rogers.

Not the best play of Chips.

          TC Haaland GW2 (51 i think)
FH29 (Had 3 Liverpool, 3 Palace 3 Newcastle but Trent and Hall injuries at the time didnt help, but they were hauling with Munoz Mateta and Sarr), went Farwin punt the week before with Southampton at home.
          AM 31 Krank -10
AM 32 Glasner 2 (was going to get a beer out when I thought, as a Palace fan we went 3 up) lol. I think Murphy points cover Howe and had Livra, so maybe not.
          AM33 Glasner 15
WC 35/ BB36 8 points (Pickford O'Brien, Williams Rogers lol)

Done more hits than usally this year because of injuries.

There is 75% skill 25% luck, but that swings. IMO FH29 than not having Haaland offset Hall and Trent, but i want going to WC 30 anyway, so stuck to the plan and was -4 all the way to WC. closed 30 points on ML last two weeks. He is 20k. Very tight this year0 He has the Salah template. I went Haaland -4. to catch up.

It is more fun chasing than defending mate, so i do feel your pain.

What made it worse GW34 was being a Palace fan an and having to miss the game.

Watced it at home. and we scored and I cheered and mourned at the same time. I have never done that before. FPL always comes second, but that was the worst ecperience feeling that.

          Yeah ,y team today is

          Sels/Pickford
          O'Brien Burn, Gvardiol Milenkovic Williams
          Mbemo Bowen Eze KDB Rogers
          Watkins Wissa Haaland.

Very fifferent, although I dont think Watkins will be.

I was so close to doing AM GW24 (would have been Moyes Emery Glasner (as i had 3 Pool and Mateta / Munoz at the time. Would have been much better. New chip and all that.

If Palace win the Cup final (after the pain of being 3-2 up in 1990 (on the raxx as I had just turned 18, Ferguson hadnt won anythng in 4 years and would have been sacked if he had lost). Hughes equalised with 7 minutes to go in ET. Lost the replay), and again Manu Utd in 2016. Pardews stupid dance. I knew wed lose it after that. £rd time licky. My dad is 80 now. It would be great for him.

          I may finish 20k i may finish 100k

in your shoes i like the way you say i may get 10k

          Go for it.

Itsmore fun chasing. If you don't do it and finish 50k? SO what?

You are obviously good at this.

Had a seriousl illness for 10 years. Medical negligence. You knver know what is going to happen except death and taxes, but you don't know how much you will pay and when you are going to pass on (hopefully to a better place (I am a physicist; who knows where we go, parallel universes and all that lol).

I think just go for it. Your in a good ppace and reverse the psycoogy if you can. Its easier when your older, I got to 16k, what do i do next (easier if you have a less template team, which if you are lessed worried about EO, thats should be a good thing!!)

          Good luck 🙂

Is this team good enough to roll ft? Would very much like to enter GW38 with 2Fts. Leading my ML by 50, have 8/11 same players as rival

    Verbruggen
    Konsa, Gvardiol, Mitchell
    Salah, Mbeumo(c), Bowen, Rogers
    Wissa, Cunha, Isak

    Raya, Murphy, Neco, Saliba
    1ft, 4.0itb

Before you mention the expected Cunha>Isak...i'm not willing to sell Cunha who plays tired Palace players 3 days after FA cup final

    Raya
    Gvardiol Munoz, Dias
    Salah, Mbeumo, Murphy Rogers
    Isak Wissa Cunha

    Areola Saka Konsa Timber

    1FT. 0.4m ITB

I was saving Timber for GW38 but he's looking like an extremely doubtful start now. So is this worth a hit ?

Timber & Cunha to Watkins (C) & a 4.2m or less (Sessegnon, or van den Berg)

      B

It is 3 days after a cup final. Some will be on the piss. (I dont think Eze would, he is too happy inside to do a Grealish) 🙂

If Palace lose or win it will be tough.

Cunha was subbed on 59 mins and is leaving.

Watkins has Spurs and Palace should have scored 6. We were not going to be ruthless because of mpotentially picking up an injury.

      Villa will be.

Take a -4 for Enzo if you need to get Saka in 38, of Evanilson on the last day 🙂

Trippier stinks on my BB (13 points in total anyway) and also apart from Marm Salah to Haaland KDB -4, cant argue really with 69 net points. Said that, no way I’m catching the third guy in my ML (had Eze and Burn), so can just say bye to a shirt I could have won (damn!).

Yes but he got subbed early, manager wasn’t happy and he is probably leaving end of the season . Most of their good run of 6 wins he wasn’t part of the squad. It isn’t nonsense!

Fair enough, I get your point. I just think you can have a great football match regardless of the level, if both teams are somewhat evenly matched and have a desire to win. I think I will be an entertaining game, and everyone will watch it despite what they say 😀

    Best option?

    A) Roll FT with Palmer and Wood to Saka and Evanilson in 38. Wissa would be first bench.

    B) Isak to Watkins with FT this week. Would likely do Palmer to Saka with 1FT in 38, benching Wood.

    Flekken
    Munoz Gvardiol Milenkovic
Salah Palmer (c) Mbeumo (vc) Bowen
    Isak Wood Wissa

    Sa; Kluivert, Kerkez, Burn

Or use FT to do Isak to Watkins this week?

    Flekken
    Gvardiol - Munoz - Milenkovic
    Salah - Palmer (c) - Mbeumo - Bowen
    Isak - Wood - Wissa

    Sa; Kluivert, Kerkez, Burn

Best option for this sorry bunch?

Do the City / Palace lads start gameweek!!?

    A) Isak >> Watkins
    B) Mateta >> Wissa
    C) Just roll and have 2FT for 38

    1FT 0.1m ITB

    Raya
    Gvardiol • Kiwior • Munoz
    Salah • Mbeumo • Sarr • Rogers • KDB

If Chelsea win the Conference League Cup and Newcastle win CL spot, and Chelsea will do as well

Does that mean 8th place doesn't get into the UEFA Conference as Newcastle and Chelsea don't, and it gets forfeited?

As there are only two Europa spots allowed

So 6 in Champions League 2 in Europa (no Conference)

If Palace win the FA Cup, then the Premier League only goes to 6th place? If Man City wins it, it only goes to 7th?

    Have I got that right?

There are far better Gurus at this than me.

29 for me - areola, burn, murphy and konsa. Made 4 transfers (-4). Could have made 0 and had far more points this week - poor decisions and the story of my season really!

Sickening, 3 transfers for -4 here too. Would’ve probably played Rogers had I not made any but wouldn’t have Mbeumo in, so would be the -4 difference really.

Will be BB38 though so you just know it’ll flop, when this week would’ve been massive

Leading my ML by 15 points. Second place is likely to bring in Watkins this week who I also really want.

But my 3 strikers are currently Haaland, Evanilson and Beto.

Want to keep Beto for this week (SOU) and Evanilson for next week (LEI). Is it crazy to consider Haaland > Watkins? Or best to stick?

    Probably doing:
    37: Mateta > Watkins
    38: Wissa, KDB > Evanilson, Saka (-4)

May just keep KDB and no hit.
Or, could do Sarr > 5.7 (Murphy?) in 38
