Later today, we’re treated to Newcastle vs Villa and Southampton vs United at St Mary’s. With Carlos Tevez delivering on his captaincy promised yesterday, all eyes will now be on Robin Van Persie as he takes on the Saints as United’s chief goal threat in the absence of the injured Wayne Rooney.

    DDG + Zaba, why did I go for you - such a pre season sheep.
    Of course DDG gets rested when reading has a blank
    Of course cazarla happens to starts scoring just when I needed him to be quiet for one more week.
    So tempted to wc, altough I know it's not worth it as both ddg + kagawa has a home game against wigan coming on.

    I think that liverpool performance against man city, which was decent but not amazing was a blip. Looked terrible today!

      Well they were against a very poor team this week, sunderland with no strikers gw1 and stoke who would have killed for a 0-0 at the beginning of the game in gw2. Still a good defensive start, but tougher tasks lie ahead!
