This season, we are running a Fantasy Football Scout league on Superbru’s Premier League Predictor game.

It’s free and fun to play, there are cash prizes on offer every week – including £50,000 if you can predict all 10 matches in a round – and it will also help to sharpen your Fantasy Football thinking ahead of the weekend.

Many of your Fantasy decisions are based on your predictions about what will happen in each match. For instance, you may end up captaining Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) because you predicted that Liverpool will thrash Cardiff, or you pick a Chelsea defender because you don’t think Huddersfield will score against them.

By going through the process of making predictions and entering them on Superbru, it will help to provide clarity in your team selection for that round.

Furthermore, you’ll also be adding your wisdom to the crowd. Hutch_James wrote a preview for each Gameweek last season, using the aggregated predictions from the Superbru community. Those predictions performed better than 99% of individuals in the game, proving that the collective knowledge of football fans can be greater than one person’s individual knowledge.

Please get involved and lend your own predictions to the community, and Hutch will return with the series again this year.

Scoring system

The scoring system is simple but smart, and designed to reward accuracy.

Prizes

You could win up to £50,000 depending on the number of exact scores you can predict in each round of 10 matches!

– 10 exact scores: £50,000
– 9 exact scores: £10,000
– 8 exact scores: £1,000
– 7 exact scores: £500
– 6 exact scores: Your choice of Premier League jersey
– 5 exact scores: a Superbru Yellow Cap

It’s totally free to play, so you might as well have a go.

Recruitment incentive

Superbru is great fun when you play with your friends or work colleagues. Over 90% of people say they would recommend Superbru to a friend and if you do just that, it will be worth your while.

Set up your own league and invite 10 new UK-based people to Superbru, and you could be eligible for £50 at the end of the tournament. See the T&Cs and how it works

Superbru app

The app is the best way to play the game – it’s quick and simple, with live scoring and lots of other cool features.

Download the free Superbru app from the App Store or Google Play.

Wisdom of the Crowd articles

Look out for the Gameweek 1 preview on Friday, with the aggregated predictions for the first round of matches as we all look to get a fast start in Fantasy Premier League. The more people that join, the better those predictions should be, so please do get involved.

think these WC returning players for LIV are 50-50 may start maybe on the bench, either way risky as may only get minutes. From the 2 Firmino most likely to start G1 I think....

Anyone going for the 'Uber Keeper' strategy this season (where you have a 4.5 and his 4.0 back up from the same team)?

If so, which is the best one? As far as I can see there are 3 options:

      BOU: Begovic (4.5) & Boruc (4.0)
      BRI: Ryan (4.5) & Button/Steele (4.0) (bit more risky)
      HUD: Lossl (4.5) & Hamer (4.0)

Leaning towards BOU as they're both decent keepers. But, BOU...

      1. Je suis le chat
        • 12 Years
        7 years, 4 months ago

Maybe get the 4.5 keepers from Bou and HUD and rotate.

        1. Limbo
          • 15 Years
          7 years, 4 months ago

Defeats the purpose. Going 'uber' means if a keeper is injured in warm up or whatever you have a straight replacement at £0.5 less.

Bournemouth can't defend. Brighton's fixtures to start the season are awful. And huddersfield won't keep as many clean sheets as last year

I would do this based on the first 5 fixtures. High chance of WC after this period anyway.

      5. stat
          7 years, 4 months ago

I plan to WC around GW 4 so I was thinking of Ryan for the first 4, but then I saw that Foster plays BHA bur CPA TOT so I went with him.

          Still undecided though:
Ryan vs wat MUN liv FUL
Foster vs BHA bur CPA TOT (the Burnley game is also less than 3 days after their 2nd leg of their EL tie)

Obviously this means that if Foster doesn't play, nobody comes on, but might be worth taking that risk for the first 4 GWs at least.

I'm coming around to the idea of having 4.5 / 4.0 keepers.

The extra 1 or even 0.5 makes defence look like it has more attacking threat which a keeper can't have..

        1. Limbo
          • 15 Years

I'd be tempted if I thought any of them would get points. Pickford (Stekelenburg) looks like a good bet for some points at the opening end of the season. Albeit those points might not be CS.

Bego/Boruc first and second choice for 9.5.

Not a fashionable defence by any means. But Watford's opening couple of games could reveal a CS and I'm looking for a decent £4.5 Kiko no longer favoured? Kabasele a good punt? Holebas best for threat but showing as flagged. Thoughts?

I believe that Foster is the standout set and forget 4.5 option. Gomez have said several times in the media that the new manager does not expect him to play this season, which is why he is likely to go back to Brazil. Foster is safe.

Ropey Joe off to Bunrley for 4 million. Desparate times calls for desparate measures. Since they've been in the PL, I've always associated Burnley with being solid defensively. That may now change.

Bilva is a right winger, 352 set up preferences wing backs over out-and-out wingers. Now reconsidering Sane as a result.

For what it’s worth, I’m starting with Mane as he’s had a good preseason and decent starting fixtures, but expecting to shift to Eriksen long term.

Given Pep's recent comments about 3-5-2 probably being the preferred setup for the coming season, what are people's thoughts on Sane, given that the system is likely to prefer a wing back over a LM?

I'm getting nervy about Sane now. Would...

Sane & Cedric > Dilva / Mendy sound reasonable?

Who knows with Pep. Didn’t he go with a back three at Barcelona and use attackers to provide width rather than wingbacks?
