          I think people are overlooking Bertrand in the 5.0 defender category. Going to be decent for a clean sheet every few games and a handful of assists/rare goal this season. Plus he's easily most nailed Saint defender.

        Cheers. There was a game a few years ago, think he was Reading's 2nd choice keeper, Yank 1st choice. Made something like 14 saves in a game. Great keeper, maybe consistency was what kept him out of teams.

          Yeah, agreed. Great keeper but lacked maturity and consistency. However, he looked like a different level of player after given the chance last season.

      Leaning towards A to be honest. Think that Alisson might be a real stopper in Liverpools defence and Mendy wants to hit the ground running since last seasons injury. But. I will be changing back and forth until friday.

    I like Prokoptas, he’s a smart man. And this Baseball Bill James must be some kind of genius coming up with stuff like this.

    So, Salah owners; do you think that he’ll regress this season? Me and 20 brilliant (until proven not) managers think he will and have now engaged in a battle for the top spot of The No Salah League (51-141909). If our (and Baseball Jim’s) calculations are correct we will be unstoppable this season. Mainly due to not overspending on a 13 mill captain that will “regress towards the group average “. So, feel free to join and separate yourself from the herd 🙂

      It’s the boldest tactic there is and it makes total sense. Those brave enough to get onboard will either hit the heights or crash and burn and a lot will come somewhere in between.

      Salah will regress, but he'll still get 250pts over the season probably (down from 303)

      This still outstrips Sanchez in his pomp, better than anything Hazard has mustered.

        Most likely. I’ll have plenty of big hitters to put the armband on. The question is if it will be on the right one more often than not.

      I'd like to see a few non-Salah teams and how the extra funds can translate.

      With my current team, including Salah, no areas scream for an upgrade.

      And as mentioned, Liverpools early fixtures make him hard to ignore.
