Who is the best TAA replacement under £4.9m?

Need to be considerate of GW26 too to help field 11.

Seem to be leaning towards Maguire or Van Hecke.

Daft question but I'll need 3 transfers next GW. Is going Regulion over VVD a prudent transfer this GW as a result. The "overall" scene I'm reasonably sure is helpful as he'll play in 26 & 29 and catch up points then (most likely) when ill otherwise have needed potential hits.

    Archer + Trent -> Toney + Saliba

Not sure what Liv defender would play both games and with a budget of 5.8m

Not worth a -4 tbh. Just because spurs have wolves and both of them could do well. Jota’s minutes more at risk of Salah is back. But he still scores even from the bench, so there’s that. He does miss 26 as well so the upside doesn’t seem amazing on paper no more.

Think I'm doing Trent to a £4.5m (ISH) defender. Still got to work out who, but it gives me £4.5m to spend (for a hit). Which of these looks good on the face of it?

    a. Palmer to Jota
    b. Garnacho to Jota
    c. Adebayo to Darwin
    d. Adebayo to Toney

    B means a hit if I want to field 11 in 26

    1. sirmorbach
      • 9 Years

C means no hit come 26? Then C, unless you wnat to keep Adebayo for his next double.

Yeah A, C or D is no hit (Trent to a non-blanket leaves me with 10 outfield players who play and 1FT to sort, but B swaps one of those 10 for a blank)

      A

I think it has to be A here.

      - Palmer blanks in 26 and likely 29
      - Garnacho covers 26
      - have to roll the dice on Adebayo doubler

      1. Biggsy
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Sound logic as always thanks. Think I'm going to FH29 but Palmer was the possibility. It's only because Trent out and no one expensive in means I have the funds to do B

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 7 Years
          1 year, 10 months ago

For B, is Jota going to score enough points in 25 to cover B2B hits? It is essentially Jota - 8 hokey cokey right?

            • Fantasy Football Scout Member
            • 11 Years

Yes. B leaves me with 9 outfield players in 26 and 1FT to find the other 1.

Move was always to roll, reap Trent's points and then shift him and one of Porro or Gusto on in 26 to field 11. I feel like the confirmed injury makes sense to roll the dice on Jota, but it's doing it whilst making it beneficial

Arguably, thinking about it, it's -4 because I'm taking the hit this week anyway with both A or B
So it's A or B + a hit. And I think Palmer is worth holding for long enough to take that hit

Actually if you are FH (Like i think i will if there are no shocks or just one more fixture i'd keep Palmer as the weeks he does play he has great fixture including 30 against Burnley.

B if you want Jota (But Man Utd could play Sheff Utd.

      I'd probably do C or D.

If you were not FH in 29 then Palmer goes.

hears a great quote from Above Average FPL tonight.

He is the new Bruno from his first 18 months. Plays crap, comes alive in injury time, and still hauls).

Had this news been last week, I would have done Trent & Alvarez to defender & Haaland. Instead I did Solanke to Adebayo - mainly for SHU but also as a DGW punt. I rate Jota much more highly and agree with your sentiments about keeping Palmer, hence why Garnacho is on the table. I could take a hit next week or just roll with 10 and do B. Tough. Neither C nor D feel like they'll get the kind of big score that makes the compromise worth it

Oh me too. I sold KDB/Alvarez Porro and Solanke to go Jota/Haaland (when KDB was benched)Doughty and Darwin.

No way i would have kept Trent

I am doing Trent to Gabriel tonight.

Think I'm going B. The ol' "hit in a BGW is only 2 points" plus the fact it makes no sense to lose Palmer ahead of Garnacho. Just think the logic of losing Palmer to save 4 points isn't there

Thats what i would do to, but i have got in a bit of a mess last week, because of leaks/Trent and Salah on WC week 20.

Injuries bid back luck and many hits after a WC isn't what you need lol

          Raya
          Gabriel, Estu, Doughty (Moreno, Gusto)
          Jota, Foden, Saka, Palmer (Eze)
          Darwin, Watkins, Haaland (TC)

I am just wondering (if at all) Eze to a Man City mid is worth? Was hoping Eze might be fit against Burnley, but is unlikely this morning.

Will wait for leaks as if Jota doesn;t start i will put KDB back in in all probability), but i doubt very much that will happen.

I couldn't afford KDB after selling him for even a 3.8 defender tonoght as let the rice rise happen last week to Haaland..

No it would be palmer, but i love his GW 27/28 and 30 fixtures, that's my main point. But then Man City usually conceded and who is usually involved? lol

If Eze doesn't make it, then i need to sell for a -8 GW26 anyway, unless i keep Jota/Darwin one more week and play in GW27

Good point. Guess he is more prone to rotation just coming back from injury.
Also when it’s Trent and Robbo he tucks inside, less attacking and thus expensive

      - VVD due to likely higher xMins
      - Bradley cheap enough to gamble but I don't expect 2 starts
      - Gomez/Tsimikas are available to play LB

have 5 DGW players (Haaland, KdB, Foden, Jota, Adebayo)

is this enough? looking ahead to 26-29 I don't really want to lose Saka, Watkins or Palmer

and all SGW defence look to have ok fixtures

    Dubrav - BOU
    Porro - WOL
    Gab - bur
    Estup - shu

    thoughts on;
    a) roll FT (1ft only needed for 11 in 26)
    b) live a little and get another DGW

yes think that looks best - missing a few fixtures this week but team wont need surgery to get 11 out for 26 so aving hits there to counter

Thoughts on Trent and Palmer > Kdb and Reguillon (-4) or mubama and Trent to Ake and Toney (-4) ?

I prefer the Toney & Ake move - mostly because Palmer so good. Although not sure if City keep 2 CSs.. or even 1?!

But yeah, not having KDB this DGW will hurt. How much do you lose if you sell Palmer?

      Trent to Gabriel and Toney?

Or just go for it with KDB

Think I might be going for a second Arsenal defender. Not sure why given we know how this all ends...

    A) Saliba (5.6m)
    B) White (5.6m)

    1) Gordon (BOU)
    2) Saka (BUR) [-4]

B 2 too, just because of the up and coming fixtures. Saliba/White is a coss of a coin.

For me they're quite expensive compared to Gabriel. I probably wouldn't but if you must I'd say B2

Yeah I understand the price to be fair. I do already have Gabriel however.

Who might you suggest instead of an ARS defender?

The reason I'm not going for a Liverpool one is because 2 games is the best scenario across the next 2 GWs - and I don't really want to make another defender transfer next week.

        Basically DGW+GW27 (10 in GW26) or GW25/26/27 (+11 in GW26).

Raya in goal,? without seeing your team its difficult. But Arsenal fixtures are really good. I am just doubling up with Raya/Gabriel and will go Neto GW28

            Areola
            TAA* Gabriel Porro
            KDB Foden Jota Gordon
            Haaland Watkins Solanke
            Leno // Palmer Gusto Taylor

May well switch Palmer for Solanke/Watkins, or may keep him benched.

I am not ruling out a GW27 WC in any case to be honest. Although I don't really need to decide that till later because the alternative may well be that I just FH29 as low on transfers for that anyway.

Might not pay off this week I suppose - but given the next three there's a chance.

Will toss a coin on A/B - but probably Saliba!

    Best option?
    A) Save FT
    B) Porro > Gabriel
    C) Areola > Flekken/Kaminski

    Martinez
    Porro / Trippier / Estupinan
    Saka / KDB / Foden / Palmer / Jota
    Darwin / Haaland

    Bench: Areola, Bell, Archer, Lascelles

Not sure I'd go there. Villa's defence is torn to shreds.

          Konsa out
          Carlos out
          Pau back... but only just
          Cash plays (makes them worse)

Even Moreno is a bit of a rotation risk with a returning Digne.

Palmer to Barkley for a -4, or have I caught DGW fever?

Will give me an extra doubler in 28 and -hopefully- an extra player in 29. Will only lose 0.3 (at worst) on Palmer. Already set up for 25 with triple pool, city and Doughty. Can get out 11 for 26 with a hit.
