What's everyone planning to do with Saka? I'm surprised he didn't drop in price. Thinking whether I should just transfer him out for Palmer, I already have Son.

Never understood the draw of saka, Bowen does the same at a lower price... Saka never hauls compared to the other premiums

Bowen does the same at a lower price?

        23/24: Saka - 226 / Bowen - 182
        22/23: Saka - 202 / Bowen - 145

Just highlighting that Bowen doesn't do the same as Saka, using actual data 😉

Not saying Bowen is a bad pick, or isn't even potentially better value for money.

But he doesn't do the same as Saka points wise.

But for clarity, it's the 24/25 season and Saka has 54 points and Bowen has 38...

    The case for Strand Larsen.

Best budget forward for the foreseeable future imo

    - Form: 4 g+a in first 8 gws in the toughest possible run (he faced 6 teams that finished inside top 7 last pl season)

    - Great fixtures: bha CPL SOT ful BOU eve whu IPS lei

    - Good pedigree

13 goals 3 assists last season in Laliga

Non pen xg (NPxG) tally of 14.50 came third, only behind Robert Lewandowski and Alvaro Morata.

Fifth for overall shots in Laliga (82)

    Are you tempted?

There are a few contenders bur Wissa is the budget forward I prefer at present. Same output as Larsen in half the gametime, and two of the 4 games he started were City and Pool away. Great upcoming fixtures too.

Yeah Wissa i like a lot as well. Great Shout. Wissa + Strand Larssen uptop allows you palmer son trent and haaland team

        Top 3 for me are

        Strand Larsen / Cunha
        Wissa
        Jimenez

2,3,4,1 in my opinion.....Raul blanks in 3-4 matches and Muniz could easily replace him....others are at least nailed....Cunha the best option considering he is on pens

What the heck are you talking about?? "Raul blanks in 3-4 matches"
The only games he has blanked in was at the start of the season when he was getting his fitness back and played 12, 10 & 11 minutes in the first 3 fixtures.
        Since then:
        WH - 1 Goal, 3 BPS
        NEW - 1 Goal
        NF - 1 Goal, 3 BPS
        MCI - 1 Assist
        AV - 1 Goal, 1 BPS
36 points in 5 games and the next 4 are Everton away, Brentford home, Palace away, Wolves Home.

That's what we thought about Muniz at the start of the season....he was in fine form at the end of last season and was popular in our GW1 team as the best budget forward....now look what happened.....I am not saying Raul is a bad pick.....but if he blanks in 3-4 games and Muniz looks good, then, he can be replaced

Wolves forwards are nailed and have the best fixtures till GW19 and I would prefer to have them in my team

He could miss out, or he could return too soon and re-injure his hamstring. Immediate fixtures aren't great anyway.

At a bit of a loss with what to do with my team. Since bringing Haaland in he's blanked all 3 games. 3FT, £0.2m ITB.

    Sanchez, 4.0
    TAA, Gabriel, Mazraoui, Faes, Greaves
    Saka, Diaz, Mbuemo, Rogers, Semenyo
    Haaland, Wood, Havertz

    Any thoughts appreciated

Well you can't take Haaland out now ,so your bigger problem is still the 3rd defender and of course Liverpool/Arsenal assets this GW but they should all play so not urgent to get rid

    3. Ausman
      • 2 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

      I would suggest the following:
      Havertz to Raul
      Diaz to Palmer
      Semenyo to McNeil
Monitor Saka, if he doesn't play midweek and looks like missing GW9, you could keep Diaz and do Saka to Palmer.
Don't make any moves until after the midweek fixtures have all been played.

    Saka+konate > cost 15.3, points per match 12.5
Haaland > costs 15.4, points per match 8.6

If you cap haaland every week its 17.2 ppm.

So if i have haaland i need to cap him Every match, no matter what.
Also haaland is 73% owned. If he Does well everyone do well.

If he blanks, everything remains same. You wont lose much rank.

The question is, you want to have fun with fpl or go boring?

They were winning comfortably so could afford to rest Son and Solanke.

If they’re not winning at 60-70, he’s still likely to be first subbed off.

Doesn’t mean he can’t be a good pick but with Son just coming back I don’t think this GW will be repeated minutes-wise.

I had Garnachofor the opening few. GW’s when he was frustrating not starting. He is now getting 90 minutes and nice fixture run coming up. United are generally pretty bad but he is the one player I wouldn’t mind having particularly for this fixture swing.

Yeah fair enough. He was very lively tbf and Utd have been decent so far this season bar few gameweeks so worth a punt although we also have other better options imo, particularly the forwards for similar prices.

What would you do with Sala and Havertz? Reckon both is too much, who would you keep if both fit?

      Saka

I am open to selling both this week even for -4. Leaning towards Saka out first because it’s a hamstring injury and that’s an injury that can easily recur even when you feel ready to play.

Could get both Son and Palmer for free in place of Sala and Diaz, only downside is keeping DCL and Semenyo (one can be benched)

Son and Palmer both great picks, I guess going two premiums limits your options elsewhere and prevents Gvardiol/Cunha?

Would have to sell Semenyo to get additional cash

I’m thinking about Gabriel Diaz Havertz to Gvardiol Son Cunha, would give me:

      Flekken
      TAA/Gvardiol/Lewis
      Saka/Son/Mbeumo/Rogers
      Haaland/DCL/Cunha

      Fab/Semenyo/Myko/Greaves

Great moves, all for free or some hits?

Have 3FTs, I see so many options, could even go with a hit as would really like Gvardiol as third City

Yeah starting to see a lot more fun/interesting options than before so definitely plenty good moves to make. Gvardiol is the pick of the defenders for sure. A minus 4 is not damaging when you get it right. Sometimes staying still and missing out on certain moves is more harmful.

I'll sort Saka first. Lots of money attached to bear with the uncertainty, especially when Son is a viable option.
Gabriel to Gvardiol also sounds like good use of FT. I've already done Saliba > Gvardiol.
Rest of the moves look sideways or can wait.

I'd say Sanchez's days are numbered. 3 or 4 clangers in him a game. And that was so bad for Jones goal. It was a poor touch by Jones and sanchez just froze.

    1. Keep saka
    2. Saka > son
    3. Saka > maddison
    4. Saka + trent > salah + ait noori

1, 2 and 4 are good options to consider. Depends on Saka's availability next weekend.

Tactical half time sub for Maddison reduces his FPL appeal. I think it shows Ange prefers Kulu as the main 8 when forced to make a tactical change.

    Saka what to do?
    A. Keep
    B. Sell to palmer for -4?
    C. Sell to Salah tor -4?

Sell for a hit only if Saka is unlikely to be available this weekend and you don't have a good first sub
