    Semenyo vs: TOT, ips, WHU

    Rogers vs: BRE, SOU, nfo

Semenyo imo, because he's much more important to his teams attack than Rogers. But again that's my opinion.

Wissa was last week's canoe. Come GW 14, already you might be looking to shift him, and if you have Mbeumo too, that's another potential transfer at that time. Of course, if you have a lot of belief in Wissa regardless, then it doesn't matter. Just seems like an unnecessary burden when there are less burdensome solutions to your problems, I expect.

If you actually look at both their histories you'll realise they are both bargains for the season.

Just because you chop and change too fast doesn't mean they aren't worth having

        1. Deulofail

I've made 5 transfers all season

The point is to plan for potential futures. If they don't do too well in the next 3 great fixtures, Panda might want to get rid of him for one of the other great options given that Brentford's fixtures get worse and worse after that. So that could be 2 transfers spent on Wissa for the sake of 3 GWs, which would be compounded if Panda wanted to get rid of Mbeumo at the same time for the same reason. Very costly.

If the wants to keep them for the whole season, that's up to him. I did say in my reply, "if you have a lot of belief in Wissa regardless, then it doesn't matter". Clearly you have a lot of belief in Wissa, but I would be surprised if many people do well in FPL while refusing to chop 2 Brentford players from their team for the whole season.

Cheers for the detailed replies. I usually use a 5 or 6 game time horizon when selecting players and I already own Cunha and RAN so not looking for another Wolves attacker. I think Wissa's fixtures (attacking-wise) are good until they play Chelsea in GW 16. I suppose Villa away will be tough but they are quite leaky. Brentford are very attacking also. I've owned Mbeumo since the start so I'll be faced with a tough decision when their fixtures turn. My current thoughts on that are that he is too good value to sell in GW19 (when their fixtures really turn) but that may change.

Another option would be to play Watkins this week and transfer him to a Brighton attacker (probably Wellbeck) next to fund Saka. I am probably slightly biased against that as I don't like starting players vs Liverpool.

Brentford can be attacking. They did try to defend a 1-0 lead against Fulham for 70 mins, though.

I love a double and triple up, but I wouldn't be doing it with a mid-table team unless they have excellent long-term fixtures, myself. Doesn't seem obvious enough.

I do like Wissa a lot as an option though. But I'm tentatively planning to sell Mbeumo for Bowen in GW14, and don't want to worry about Wissa when Jackson and Havertz have good longer-term fixtures, for example, unless I had a rotation plan for the worst fixtures, at least. Good luck withyour decision!

The best strategy to score goals in the Champions League is to deliberately kick the ball to the defender's hand because if it hits them it is an automatic penalty.

Sometimes I wonder how Saka is so consistent with FPL points. So often he's out on that right wing completely shackled by 2 opposition players doubling up on him. Newcastle did it and Inter Milan are doing it. Always feel like he is a couple of blanks away from me wanting to remove him from my team.

If Arsenal scored first, I think it would be the same the other way around. Both teams conserving energy for their league games. The effect of too many fixtures.

          • 12 Years

That narrative is being thrown around too often these days. They play twice a week, I don’t think that’s so extreme. League cup doesn’t count because Arsenal played their reserves and are now in the QF.

Nations League is a pile of dung, if players had any sense they would make themselves unavailable for those fixtures.

You're on your own if you think there aren't too many fixtures in a season. Players and teams know about this and it influences them accordingly, consciously and otherwise. The questions are "how?" and "how much?"
