Pre-season price offer extended for FFScout Premium Membership

Due to popular demand and taking inspiration from soft furniture retailer sales across the land, we are pleased to say that Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for the 2020/21 season are still available at the pre-season cost of £17.50 – but only for a little while longer.

We have given our users an extra week to sort out their subscriptions for the new campaign but this really is last-chance saloon territory, as yearly Premier Memberships will rise to the regular season price of £19.99 on September 7.

So, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up before that point in order to secure the best-value rate.

The yearly fee of £17.50 works out at an equivalent of less than £1.50 a month as, instead of expiring on June 1 as was previously the case, these rolling annual subscriptions now cover a full 12-month period.

That’s better value than our rivals are offering for the equivalent all-access Premium Membership package.

SIGN UP FOR THE NEW SEASON HERE

If you prefer to dip your toe into the water rather than plunge right in, however, we are offering rolling monthly subscriptions for just £2.99 per month.

We’re continuing to reinvest resources into the site, building a team of talented contributors for the new season (from all of our Career Hall of Fame top three to the returning Mark Sutherns) and working on an exciting new design for the Premium Members Area, complete with new tools and features.

We’re also dishing out £2,500-worth of prizes in the 2020/21 campaign – more details of that available here.

Our video below runs down just some of the benefits that subscribers will enjoy in 2020/21 and previews what you can expect the Premium Members Area to look like after its makeover:

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?

Well, you’ll be joining legions of other Fantasy managers by signing up, including former Fantasy Premier League winners Adam Levy, Simon March and Tom Fenley.

Thousands upon thousands of FPL bosses take advantage of our subscriptions and sign up every year, using the stats and tools to aid their Gameweek planning.

PRO PUNDIT ARTICLES

You’ll get exclusive content from some of the best Fantasy managers in the business, including Hall of Fame top three Fábio BorgesStephen Harrap and Darren Wiles, ex-champion Simon March, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman, three-time top 200 finisher Lateriser and six-time top 5k finisher Zophar.

If that wasn’t enough, Fantasy Football Scout’s founding father, Mark Sutherns, is returning to the site to supply articles and video appearances throughout the season. Again, only Premium Members will get unrestricted access to Mark’s content.

RATE MY TEAM AND PROJECTIONS

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools are both live for the new season, so you can head over there now to start building your teams ahead of 2020/21 and see how many points our algorithm thinks you’ll score.

These features were both refined last year, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a Hot Topic.

SEASON TICKER

Also live for the new season is our Season Ticker.

Premium Members can sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Disagree with the Fantasy Football Scout difficulty ratings? Add you own to customise your experience.

FLAT-TRACK BULLY TOOL

Our Flat-Track Bully tool was a new addition last season, with subscribers now able to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.

This will help you pinpoint players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams, like Raúl Jiménez famously did in 2018/19.

HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISONS

Compare both teams and players head to head, with over 100 key statistics to study side by side.

PLAYER AND TEAM STATS

There are hundreds upon hundreds of player and team statistics available, which can help guide your Fantasy transfer decisions.

MATCH ANALYSIS

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots and chances created, among other statistics.

CUSTOM STATS TABLES

Premium Members can also create custom tables based on the data available and share them with other subscribers.

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

TESTIMONIES

2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy was a paid-up Premium Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in an interview after his triumph.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a Premium Member here. A full FAQ on our Premium Members’ Area is also available here.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the Premium Members’ Area, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Looking back over my TC success rate playing it in DGWs

    Salah 16 points (19/20) - 48 points
    Sterling 8 points (18/19) - 24 points
    Kane 3 points (17/18) - 9 points
    Aguero 9 points (16/17) - 27 points
    Aguero 25 points (15/16) - 75 points

Not sure what to take from it.

          Oh, erm:

          19/20 mane 3pts
          18/19 sane 2-6pts (can’t recall)
          17/18 kun 21pts
16/17 something dire that inspired the early kun TC not in a dgw in 17/18

12 points average - seems we put a little too much faith in DGWs for TC. Lots of people have played it on Duffy, Sane and even Andy Carroll in the recent past for minimal returns

I still can't believe I TC'd DDG (36 points) over Aguero and Sanchez in that 15/16 DGW when I had both of them in my team

I got 100 points from Aguero (TC) and Sanchez in that DGW alone. Think the other 9 got a total of 75 points too.

I went for Sturridge instead of Aguero because I thought Aguero had looked poor in a few games before DGW. I was in top 300 at that point as well and just went for it!

Thoughts on setting up as 441 as a base formation with 10 nailed players then having a fairly flexible budget bench to select your 11th player based on fixtures?
Only real downside is you probably need to pump about £1.5M into your bench than using the normal fodder (£5.0Ms instead of £4.5Ms).

    1. Andy_Social
      • 11 Years

Absolutely the correct way to play the game!

      1. Andy_Social
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

Well, mostly. You can use a decent pair of 4.5 defenders, but you'll need 5-5.5 midfielders. It doesn't work with strikers though - currently you would have cheaper than a 6m playing striker and you won't want to bench him.

        1. LangerznMash
          • 7 Years
          3 years, 6 months ago

True about the strikers. None of the sub £5.5m are nailed and you wouldn't want to bench £5.5m+ player.
But we can wait and see if a £4.5 / £5.0m forward becomes a reliable option.

    2. LangerznMash
      • 7 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

Putting more thought into it I think a base formation of 341 is optimal. Then having a 2 from 5 rotation to make up your 11 players.
      GK = £4.5m (4.0) set an forget
      3 defenders totalling around £20m and 2 x £4.5 rotation.
4 mids totalling around £37m and a £5m for rotation
1 forward around £9m, one at £5m for rotation and a £4.5m fodder.

      Budget (fodder)
      Premium Premium High (4.5 rotation)
      Premium Premium High High (5.0)
      High (5.0, fodder)

Pretty happy with this budget distribution.

There been much chat about how Covid will affect the 2020/21 season fixtures?

I predict more DGW/Blank hell than usual (or heaven depending on your point of view).

Based on what we're seeing in other leagues/sports that have already re-opened again this last few weeks, there are going to be some postponements. Was it quite lucky that the restart didn't give us any?

So, is it time to rethink the more traditional approach with emphasis on a balanced bench? 2nd keeper 4.5m? All defenders at least 4.5m? No big risk on last spot in MF/Attack? Or just take the stance that we can't predict it and just roll with the punches - when 8 players is all you can get out?

I do know one thing I will be doing this year though, and that's making very late transfer decisions in a given GW unless absolutely necessary (Like 0.1m change ruling out big move).

    1. Andy_Social
      • 11 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

I've been making this case for ages. Obviously if it's a huge outbreak and the PL is postponed or cancelled, that's beyond our powers, but we can prepare for isolated cases of going into quarantine by having a fully active bench. It might also be an argument in favour of coverage in case a match is postponed and you have 2 or 3 players tied up in it.

      1. Limbo
        • 13 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

I always play a very very cheap bench and look for a couple of enablers (Step fwd Sir John). But not this year. I'm going to ensure my bench is solid from GW1. And if a 4.0 breaks cover (Hoping Brainthflakes eats his weetabix) then it'll be a nice bonus.

0 players tested positive after the project restart if I'm not wrong.

I think the fixture postponement due to Covid is a bit over exaggerated here. Unless several players test postive at a club I cant see fixtures being postponed. They aren't going to postpone fixtures of 1 or 2 of the players or staff members get tested positive.

They did in Scotland, but I agree, it's unlikely in PL. But individuals might have to quarantine, as Neymar, Pogba and Traore are now.

Yeah. I wonder it'll more commonly be player by player case (Which is arguably worse if that player is 10m + and in your team)...

Either way - alongside a strange restart, a chance of covid postponement and weird fixtures I think this season could be much higher than usual for blanks/doubles.

          1. Andy_Social
            • 11 Years
            3 years, 6 months ago

That will be difficult. The season is heavily truncated and nearly all midweeks are already booked for cup matches. There simply isn't space for many extra DGWs unless there's a chaotic TGW or two in the final weeks.

            1. Limbo
              • 13 Years
              3 years, 6 months ago

Yeah - how they manage fixture conjestion it will be as unusual this season as the end was last.

One small bonus is the change to larger bench but max of 3 again. Less chance of a 59 minute sub...

Yes I'm more worried about one of my players catching Covid but let's see I still think it won't happen too much.

Perhaps it'll be more common in say, rugby, where there has already been a fair few games posponements in League/Union. Space between matches is wider (for obvious reasons) and contact is naturally lower in football - even so...

I’ll be doing what I normally do, making early transfer to build TV up till before Christmas then becoming more cautious thereafter

There were no postponements and no players becoming unavailable but this time round we’ve intl breaks where players are more at risk

Certainly want two good options on the bench, ideally 3 playing players

      1. Limbo
        • 13 Years

Hard to plan for something that may never arise. Being cautious has never won me prizes and I've topped my cash league last 4 years. But I'd love to be in a better position should we get a late postponement and not look at fielding 1pt cameos.

You can’t prepare for an entire top team late postponement

Any team that is highly backed or even two well cause havoc - but it’ll be the same for all

Having a couple of cheap playing defenders/midfielders will be key to survival in that scenario. Too much on the bench and you’ll weaken your overall game (not that cash necessarily = consistent scoring players)

Normally I’d pull an early WC, but I want to wait this year till Gw9/10, in order to get a better assessment and adjust for all cheap form players in accompanying those heavy hitters

            • 13 Years
            3 years, 6 months ago

Yeah. Late WC could be a good tactic - particuarly in this scenario. As are late transfers in a GW. Cautious without being too conservative maybe?

As much as I'm not happy with a lot of the player prices this year, I think TAA and ASM are the best bargains around surely?

How's my team so far? Likely to change...

    Ramsdale (Button)
    TAA / Saliba / KWP (Vinagre/Johnson)
    Soucek / Salah / Auba / Son / ASM
    Werner / Ings (Brewster)

FFS loves ASM, but I struggle with Newcastle players - hard to own. They're not exactly prolific so looks a lot like a trap to me. You will need to be patient as their fixtures are a real mixed bag. Could easily be in the bottom 3 after GW6

    Currently on Bissouma and Brewster.
I worry that Brewster occupies a Liverpool place if I decided to go from 2 to 3 Liverpool players.

Would not get Brewster. Occupying a Liverpool place like you said.

He could be a great punt later, but everyone will hop on IF the time comes.

    RMT?

    TAA | Doherty | Justin | Vinagre | Ferguson
    Aubameyang | Salah | Son | Perez | Armstrong
    Adams | Werner | 4.5

    Bottomed.
Haven’t touched my team in a week (and it probably shows). I got 2.0 in the bank and I’m pretty happy with my team structure. Other than landing a defence, is there really anything that *must* be looked at?

    McCarthy
    TAA - Vinagre - Walker-Peters - Saliba (4.5 placeholder)
Soucek - Aubameyang - Salah - Fernandes (will be Son or other playing mid)
    Mitrovic - Werner
    (Button - Reed - Taylor - Davis)

RMT please - millionth draft, going trip lpool at the back?

    Allison
    Taa - Robbo - Vinagre - KWP
    Son - Auba - H Odoi
    Werner - Vardy - Mitrovic

1m itb to get kdb and fernandes in future gws

    Ryan
    TAA Dier Vinagre KWP
    Auba (c) Ziyech Soucek
    Kane Vardy Ings
    - Greenwood Mitchell Stephens

    Howz this looking? 343/433

Reason for going with Kane and vardy over premium mids like Salah is their better run of fixtures over netxt 6-8 GWs, easy switch to Martial or Werner....only premium mid would be KDB from GW3 onwards...will monitor Ziyech close to the deadline

Yes theres a price difference, but who do you think will get more points this year?
Kane or Werner. Ive had Werner in from the beginning, but seriously considering getting Kane and swapping Robbo for Doherty/Laporte

Frees up an extra million which is a plus, plus has better players behind him in my opinion
Kane on penalties so thats a tie
Downside is might take a few games to get up and running, but Kane could really start with a bang

I think your spot on with that mate, i think its more the fact that i think Spurs will hit the ground running were as helsea could take time to gel. And yeah, i can also go to Werner if/when he starts to kick off.
                Thanks for your help

This is the part im stuck on, i can see benefits of each one. Yes Doc makes it better for Kane, but that extra mill in bank though???
Also, with Chelsea theyve got more goals coming in from other positions. Pulisic, Havertz, Ziyech all can score goals and with Werner he could be looking to play those types of players in. Were as Kane, well, hes all about the goals and nothing else.
But then Chelsea missed so many chances with Abraham last year so having a no9 who can take more of those chances has me leaning towards Werner.

1st time im doing this serious as opposed to do a -4 like its nothing, or doing -8s or -12s and thinking its just fun.
Maybe i am being too strict though haha

Not saying to take multiple hits, just saying that certain times of the season Kane might outscore Werner and other periods vice versa. Look at fixtures in say blocks of 4(First 2 wk break after wk 4) and make a call on that.

Thats a good point, i think im more worrying about making a -4 than actually realising i can make a free tfr.
Looking at fixtures i think Spurs have the better ones, plus i do think it could take this Chelsea team a bit of time to gel. Plus, i can always drop Kane for Werner and have money in the bank
                That seems more sensible?
                Btw thanks for your help

It's true - he's box to box. Doucocococo is too.

Bernard can be lethal when he's got the support but often looks exposed. Reminds me of Pienaar - but he had Baines in his heyday.

If we complete all MF signings:

        Pickford
        Coleman / Holgate / Keane / Digne
        Allan / Gomez / Doucoure
        Richarlison / James
        DCL

Subs: Mina / Kenny / Gbamin / Bernard / Siggy (him and Wally might be off to USA)

Tough to say, as it stands one of Iwobi/Walcott/kean/Bernard would have to be RW. I don't see James playing out on the wing
          DCL
          Rich James Iwobi
          Docoure Allan
