Was off my head this weekend and did -4 to get Gusto and Jesus in. Got a bit emotional to see Jesus back with the squad and needed to get rid of Shaw. Sitting on place 156,015 at the moment, so want to maintain the momentum.

Who do I bench? Don't know how patient I can be with Richarlison tbh. But curious what you guys think.

    (A) Jesus (Man U home)
    (B) Rashford (Arsenal away)
    (C) Richarlison (Burnley away)

      FYI, Full squad:

      Pickford / Turner

      Estupinan / Saliba / Gusto / Cash / Kabore

      Foden / Jota / Richarlison / Saka / Rashford

      Haaland / Jackson / G. Jesus

If Arteta won't say Jesus is starting, I would bench him.

Richarlison hasnt shown anything so far that he deserves to keep starting.

You must be the first person I ever heard of to get positively emotional about a fella named Jesus.
I think he is terrible FPL pick a yellow card magnet, rash tackles. lippy to refs, and a terrible finisher.

If you got emotional that he is back, you will certainly get even more emotional owning him, before you get rid.

Hahaha I see everything through red and white glasses. Does get some good xGI though, so thought I could take a punt with him. Early adapter and that 😉 Luckily having some good squad depth, but I have too many players who aren't nailed starters... The gamble continues.

What are people's thoughts on Trippier? He's the Mewcastle captain, can play RB/LB but has Livramento as competition. Does he get rested or rotated when CL kicks in?

Overpriced as hell, never considered him as an option this season, same about TAA. Maybe only on FH or weeks before WC

My team is not terrible per se, but I feel like WCing. What do you think?

    Pickford (Turner)
    Chilwell, Estupiñán, Colwill (Botman, Baldock)
    Salah, Saka, Martinelli, Mbeumo, Eze
    Haaland, João Pedro (Woodrow)

    A. Eze/Martinelli to Maddison
    B. Pedro to Wissa/Álvarez
    C. Something else
    D. WC to something like the following:

    Onana (Areola)
    Chilwell, Estupiñán, Saliba (Cash, Gusto)
    Salah, Saka, Maddison, Mitoma, Mbeumo
    Haaaland, Wissa (Semenyo)

Seems like WC5/9 will be popular but it doesn't really have to be in an IB, just when you need it or think it can make most impact really. I originally planned WC5 (i.e. picked just for first 4 fixtures) & am now back on that plan as I think I can make around 9 changes. Want to wait til transfer window closes at least & will just deadend my team with 1-2 differential punts this week

Fixtures from GW9 look better. Jota owner here now looking to offload - thought he'd be reasonably nailed short-term with Mac suspension & but now that's overturned (plus Endo starting) freeing up Gakpo to move up top & the competition from Darwin is intensifying...

I used my wildcard and ended up scoring 25 fewer points than if I had stayed with my original single transfer of Eze to Maddison.

Sometimes the wildcard only kicks in a few gameweeks down the line.

Gw2 I wildarded 33 points - 9 less than my original team if I did my planned transfer

Gw3 - 73 points and lots of price rises - looks well set for gw4

        Rashford

Is Sterling a better bet everyone in my ml has Rashford

I’ve done Martinelli to Maddison but got another free

Or I could use 2nd transfer to a city defender and bench Estupinian??

Would you play Baldock ahead of Saliba or Estupinian? Everton can't score for toffee.

          Yes over Saliba I think

Does Baldock definitely start? His replacement got the goal against City.

Oh thanks, I didn't realise that. I'm guessing he came off because he was on a yellow?

I'm not 100% sure but I remember the SHU preview here & fan consensus was that Baldock is & was first choice over Bogle, and I believe he's started whenever fit so far

One needs to go to make way for Maddison / Foden / Sterling:

        A) Odegaard

        B) Rashford

Martinelli face Manchester United, who's without Shaw and Varane (likely), then Everton and Bournemouth in his next 4.
He hasn't scored yet, but looked very lively and got 4 shots away against Fulham. Trossard is making him a rotation/minutes risk. Jesus is almost back and we saw last season that Martinelli was way more dangerous when Jesus was playing and setting him up.

Sterling has Forest, Bournemouth, Villa and Fulham up next. He's on the back of two great performances, one of them brought about the 19-pointer this week and he did look threatening against West Ham. On thsi form, there's no dropping him, but Madueke might get some end-of-game minutes here and there. Sterling has set himself the target of becoming top scorer for Chelsea this season, which is always encouraging to hear from a prospective FPL asset.

So with this list in mind, who would you rather have for the next 4 gameweeks?
        Martinelli or Sterling?

Sterling - form player better fixtures, first name on Chelsea team sheet after Chilwell in a team lacking experience.

Worth noting Martinelli will be up against a good 1v1 defender in AWB

Pressed the panic button and activated WC. Any suggestion, please? Many thanks in advance.

        Leno (Areola)
        Chilwell, Estupiñán, Udogie (Cash, Gusto)
        Salah, Saka, Maddison, Diaby, Mbeumo
        Haaaland, Jackson (Semenyo)

Looks great. To your question above I was going to say I think I'd keep Estupinan if you have 5 defenders like this. Him & Chilwell are so far ahead of the rest of the pack for attacking threat (if we bracket Cash at RW and maybe Digne who may be leaving) & I wouldn't mind starting him v mun/LIV, or at least having the option to do so

I would go Alvarez instead of Semeyo - and Nakamba instead of Mbeumo. Allowing you to get Isak in for Alvarez around gw8

I think I want to keep Salah, think he could explode again at any minute. Trippier is indeed a very good shout though. many thanks!

What's people's thoughts on Watkins? Thinking of taking him out for Wissa but it may be a sideways move.

Acts as a foil rather than an out an out striker in Villa's system - team player for players rushing on behind him.
Diaby is the one to get from Villa at 1.5m ish cheaper.

          Wisa good value at 6.0m.

I think that would be a downgrade actually.
Watkins has no goals but is getting points.
          Id hold him

Watkins a sleeper choice, got a hat-trick in the Euro qualifiers. Granted it was against Hibs, who suck, but no other player has secured a hat trick this season for a Prem team.

Probably, but I know he'll get guaranteed minutes. Isak will be potentially rotated with Wilson and some other attackers, and Jackson is still a bit of a gamble for me.

        1. Rashford do Sterling
        2. Gabriel to Dias bench Estupinian

        Which one???

        Current WC - 1.8 ITB

        Onana, (Areola)
        Gusto, Chill, Dias, (Udog, Baldock)
        Sterling, Saka, Bruno, Madders, Diaz
        Haaland, Isak, (Semenyo)

Considerations are Nunez, Foden and Diaby

Diaz too much of a rotation hazard, I prefer Leno and Areola for good fixture rotation, Baldock can be upgraded, Gusto uncertain minutes, and I feel Semenyo could potentially be upgraded too.
