Rolling my FT for GW10. Would like to get the forum's opinion on the best midfielder from GW10 onwards.

        1) Luiz Diaz, already have Mo
        2) Martinelli, already have Saka
        3) Mitoma

        Neto // Turner
Gabriel Cash Burn // Udogie Kabore
        Salah Saka JWP Madders _____
        Haaland Watkins // Archer

Don’t see either keeping a clean sheet. Maybe Leno might make more saves so probably him but very close.

      Afternoon all. 1FT.

      A) Leno > Turner, bank extra funds
      B) Save FT, play Areola vs Villa (A)

If you have an extra transfer to burn and dont plan using might be a good 1 week punt to do leno to turner

Jota is a decent option - I expect he'll start. The only potential issue is that the last time Pool started without Diaz & Darwin post-IB it didn't go very well & both came on at 45/56mins, so you're still likely looking at restricted mins. Alternatively, Bournemouth are looking ripe to target at the moment & Wolves attack starting to fire, so maybe one of Neto/Hwang

Oh, there's also Foden. Seen it pointed out lately (credit to Nate & others) what a good record he has against Brighton: 6G 1A in his last 5 starts.

      A) Saka

A fully fit Saka, yeah, still a steal at 8.whatever. However, I suspect his injuries are multiple & ongoing, and I doubt we'll get a frank accounting of them from Arteta, so I'm quite wary of rushing back in. I expect Martinelli to flourish with Jesus back; my only slight doubt is how Havertz at left 8 impacts him

Have a few players playing each other this week meaning bit of a benching dilemma. Currently set up as below, would you change?

      Neto
      Burn / Porro / Udogie
      Bowen / Neto / Son / Salah
      Watkins / Solanke / Haaland

      Areola / Cash / Anderson / Lamptey

How is my WC? TV is not great so a fair few compromises, tempting to drop Trippier to another Newcastle defender to upgrade elsewhere…

      Areola (Turner)
      Trippier, Gabriel, Udogie (Tsimikas, Taylor)
      Salah, Saka, Maddison, Diaby (Palmer)
      Haaland, Hjolund, Foster

      1. The Iceman

Looks good. If you do drop Trippier obviously I would look at upgrading Foster. Any risk of Turner losing his place to that Greek GK Forest signed from Benfica?

There are a few bits I would change personally but overall I think it's pretty neat.

I would go without Trippier. He is an outstanding asset, but personally I think another Newcastle defender and putting the cash elsewhere allows for a stronger overall squad. Just my opinion.

Not keen on the Foster pick, and Hojlund is very much a punt. The Sheffield United fixture makes it seem more appealing but he's not done anything yet to warrant being picked I don't think. Would prefer Watkins and then seeing who else you can get instead of Foster

Turner - Botman, Udogie, Dalot - Son, Foden, Sterling, Rashford, Mbeuemo - Watkins, Haaland
      Ederson, Cash, Morris, Gusto
WC still available, plan to use it Nov Intl break.. if Botman declared fit by Friday, seriously considering Gusto>Tsimikas and bench boost, otherwise play Cash and roll transfer

Hard to tell. Isak has been first choice, but may be saved for the midweek game against Dortmund. Doesn't help that both have had injuries, which might dictate rotation/managed minutes.

But I may want to a double transfer, or a triple transfer for a -4 next week if Salah hauls again and Son is still looking gimpy.

          I can just afford:

Yeah. Your team is okay for GW9 and it would be beneficial to go into GW10 with 2FT in hand.

Sterling, Mbeumo, Morris and Ederson are the players that stand out for transferring out to get the players in that you want for the good fixture swings.

      Turner, Areola.
      Tripps, Tark, ROBBO, Cash, Taylor.
      Bowen, Saka, Diaby, Son, Bruno.
      Halland, Hojlund, Archer.

      2 FT 0.0 In bank.

      Need to replace Robbo obviously.
      No Salah seems a problem.
      Thoughts on transfers appreciated.

OK Salah can wait one more week (not ideal), then use Son and Bruno cash to Salah/Gordon/ Gibbs White/Neto. It pends on how much you want to drop Robbo to,, Tsimikas?/Guehi has a good run 11-15. Then The 5.3 ITB becomes 6.8. If Saka is out you can drop to MArtinelli? I may take a couple of -4 over two weeks, depending on team news.

If you could help out below my dilemma, that would be great

I own both and am starting Turner, 0 faith in UTD defence currently, even against Sheffield

Hello all. sorry i hope this makes sense. Just looking for a bit of guidance.

Trying hard not to WC10 1FT 0.1 ITB

      Turner (Johnstone)

      Saliba, Cash, Porro (Kabore, Gusto)
      Salah, Son, Maddison, Diaby, (Eze),
      Pedro Alvarez Haaland

Really could WC 10 midfield of Saka (or Martinelli), Maddison, Bowen, Diaby, Salah

If you had neither is Saka worth 0.8m over Martinelli? yay or nay

      A. Pedro to Archer (and play him)
then GW 10 get Son to Saka or Martinelli and Eze to Bowen for a hit) 3-5-2
B Eze to Gordon, (and go Son to Martinelli and Pedro to Nunez GW10 3-4-3 with Gordon first on the bench every week
C Play Pedro against Man City (or Gusto, as James took another knock i heard 10 days ago), against Arsenal, and do a -4 next week with 3 transfers

More i think, the more i think Archer could nick a goal 🙂

I think Saka is worth the extra assuming fit. Eze is weakest link in team so would move to Gordon ( or Neto) ( although if Soucek lets you get Saka next week that’s another option)

          Thanks Dunas Dog
Yeah i think i agree with Saka. (60/40), he played well against Man City with Jesus again 🙂
          But a rotation risk.
Eze cannot all anymore can he, although i did say that this week, and still fell another 0.1.

But a -4 next week of Son and Eze to Saka, and Bowen (if i downgrade Pedro) is more tempting than Gordon to me, unless he can rotate in and out with Darwin, in option B and I play 4-3-3

So Eze to Gordon would mean Nunez over Bowen Basically (and Gordon as the first sub?)

Quite like the Nunez plan in B. If you go with Martinelli GW10, would you be open to a double up with Saka GW12 (in place of Bowen)? Otherwise if you feel you can only accommodate one, and have a strong preference for Saka, then maybe better to delay the Gordon move (play Pedro) to retain the option of a cheaper 1st bench mid + Saka?

Yes (At today's prices) i can do a 3-5-2 with Saka and Martinelli with 0.1 to spare GW10 for a hit if I did Pedro to Archer this week.

If I moved Eze to Gordon this week, i could only accommodate Martinelli and Nunez up front, GW10 in a 3-4-3 with Gordon no.1 on the bench, and Gusto/Kabore on the bench .

Maybe i have my biased Palace hat on, but unless we conceded early, we will try to frustrate Newcastle as much as possible, Gordon is down Ward's side, but Rashford didn't get past him (Ward still reads the game well, better than his legs - been a great servant for 12 years for 450k mind)

I see a 0-0 or a 1-0 to Newcastle 78th minutes type of score. Last 3 meetings have been 0-0. Even under Steve Bruce it was always 1-0. Never many goals

Yeah I agree, I think it'll be 1-0, maybe even 0-0. Have Gordon currently but looking to bench him here.

So it really has to downgrade Pedro this week and suck it up, to Archer then?????

Can go Saka, Martinelli, Maddison, Diaby, Salah (GW10) or Bowen for Martinelli, fot a hit. This allows Alverez to Nunez in case he got injured, or 0.5 ITB in case of flags. or maybe a midfielder

Can't believe any TV I had when I had Eze and Pedro for so long lol.

        Crunchie,

Eze and Pedro would be my first priorities, contributing very little for a fair bit of money. Archer seems the obvious way to gain some spending money.
I don't like the attacking double ups of Spurs & City, Alvarez surely will be rotated soon with CL & the fixtures against the top 8 teams coming up. For the same price, Hojlund offers more security of starts imo. So my next 4 transfers out would focus on Alvarez, Eze, Pedro & one of Son / Maddison to get Bowen or Mitoma Saka/ Martinelli.

That the plan, but it as Eric Morecombe said, i am playing the right notes, not necessarily in the right order.:)

Unless Pedro 100% starts i think i have to sell him to Archer first and suck it up this week.

Then really upgrade Eze and downgrade Son next week to free up the funds for a Nunez 3-4-3 or a Saka and a Bowen /Martinelli

I think moving Eze to a Neto/Gordon is too sideways.

If Eze/Olise come back fit at the same time in 3 weeks which is a possibility, then Eze for Diaby, and a defender updgrade, from a 4.0 maybe warrented later on.

Changes happen, but this is the long term plan.

I took two -4 hits not to WC last games weeks and still had risen (just small green arrows). My only regret this season was selling Salah GW3 to free up funds.

I am hoping with fixture swings in GW19 maybe a good late WC (never ever done one past this point, alway had to play to WC5-9)
