    Next years prices?
    Palmer 10
    Foden 12
    Eze / Olise/ Mateta 7/8
    Trent back down to 6
    Haaland still 13
    Rashford down to 8
    Gordon 8

    Thoughts?

10.5 (fpl towers rarely hike prices a crazy amount after 1 breakout season otherwise would say 11.5)
      11, maybe 10.5 with pep's rotation
7.5 for the 2 palace mids, 7 for mateta
6.5, depends how slot uses him
15 (time for some variance in captaincy outside of just going against the logical choice and hoping for fpl variance in your favour)
      sure 8, maybe 8.5
9 ( 200 points season if he started every match)

*although will add this is what id like to see, you can shave off 0.5-1.5mil off everyones prices if trying to predict what FPL towers will actually do

I'd be shocked if Palmer is more than 10m. Yeah he had an amazing season but Saka last year got 202 points priced at 8.0m and was 8.5m this season.

Palmer will be between 9-10m imo. He probably should be 10-11m range but FPL skew low.

If Salah goes, then I suspect he'll be priced more than 10m. Not enough premiums otherwise.

I think 10m minimum. He could’ve had 270 points if had more minutes first six gameweeks.

Håland 14 (14.5 if Salah leaves)
Foden, Saka, Palmer, Watkins, Son all 10±.5. Make Son a forward
      Eze, Olise, Mateta all 7
      Trent 7.5
      Rashford 8
      Gordon 8, Isak 9
White 6.5, Gabriel and Saliba 6
      Everton defenders, Palace wingbacks 5

3 at the back is going to be so prevalent that everyone will have at least one 4m defender most of the time, it'd be better for the game if there isn't a Branthwaite next year. Only promoted teams should have 4m starters, if any.

Palace mids will be priced no more than 7.5m imo. They haven't lit it up all season because of injuries and because their overall points tally is low, will be priced down.

I learnt from this season on the prices. Last year my predictions were 0.5m/1.0m higher than everything. So this is a good compromise.

Haaland need to go up in price. There should be a decision to be made on which players you choose. There hasn't been with Haaland, at this years price you have to own him. No players should be "automatically" in your team, if they are, then the price is wrong - imo. He will always score on average 1 goal a game per 90 minutes. I would still have him in my team if he cost 16. Other players will beat his value, but you'll never know who.

The biggest thing to learn about this game or rather yourself, is did you actually make a mistake or was it a good decision that didn't go your way, and when things did go your way was it a bit of luck from a bad decision or was it well deserved points from a good decision.

Only that sometimes, Luck is a cruel mistress. Mateta was probably the best play, but Gordon, Bruno, etc opened up midfield slots for 1 GW. Last night the general consensus was Eze on pens and Olise more explosive.

If you did bring in CPL though then you're doing the right thing generally.

So unlucky mate. Hard lines. Porro v SHU was always a chance for a haul and whilst I know why you went (S)alah, even if many could have, they wouldnt have. Bear in mind many more captained Haaland tho, myself included.

You made sensible choices a 20 point leader would have done. 50 pts behind, maybe 1 or 2 maverick ones were needed. Dont beat yourself up tho.

Seems I've scraped a top 20k place by only a couple of hundred places, but it's weird, after bouncing between 40k and 120k for most of the season, a top 20k finish should be something to celebrate. But three bad decisions (benching Romero and Isak, Olise over the other two from Palace) on the final day and it actually feels like a disappointing end.

At least you went the distance and a decent rank for once.

A weird season. Started strongly, imploded, recovered, imploded again and had a semi-decent day today. Had the top 10k in my sights before FH34 but had fallen to 73k by last week before ending up 59k.

Overall disappointed with the mistakes I made and the terrible luck I endured all season with injuries but a decent enough overall rank - just a big drop-off after last season’s 1.7k.

Anyway, self-indulgent rant done. Thanks to you all for your company this season. I’ve had a tough time in real life over the last year, really struggled mentally, and although this game can exacerbate that, I also find the tinkering quite therapeutic and the chats on here tend to be good fun. You’re a nice bunch!

Have a good summer. I’m going to have a nice detox from fantasy football - pure watching only for the Euros! But I’m sure I’ll be here soon enough to speculate on next season’s prices and so on! Cheers all

I won my mini league but playing Jackson and benching Isak has me questioning myself right now. Jackson is a total plug yet I chose to start him instead of an explosive asset like Isak. Decisions like this will always doom me to mediocrity.

That’s ludicrous. Jackson is the player in form; Isak was definitely a decent punt but there was reasons that a player who had blanked a couple of matches and had shown less form away was being benched. Unless you had more information than us, just own it

Hopefully he joins City at some point. We’ll then see Forest or someone like that win the league

Drop off from 17k rank down to a final 27k. FH never launched me into space sadly. Fun like always, see you all next season!

Funny old game isn’t it, one of my worst ranks for a long time but this season I really enjoyed it bizarrely!

Ended up at 18k. Not ideal when I peaked around 4k in GW32 but the good luck ran it's course with B2B massive red arrows.

Cheers folks for the chat and see you next season

60… with Porro and Isak on the bench, finished on 10k, can’t help but feel disappointed I didn’t start Porro over one of the Arsenal defenders, or Isak (followed the leak) over Bruno 🙁

75 points with FH this week not good but not bad at all. 7k rank without any hits taken all season, pretty happy about it.

      Very rough.
Not only was this the first time I've finished outside the top 300k, it was also the first time I've finished outside the top 400k.
Sold Chris Wood who scored 13.
Saka injured and didn't play, and I only got Branthwaite's one-pointer off the bench to replace him.
Isak was second on my bench, so his 14 points stayed there.
      Another captaincy failure with Haaland.

      Consolation smooths:
Mateta, who I brought in for Chris Wood, scored 20.
      Foden scored 15.

Smooth. Captained Foden to try and win my mini leagues. Him and and 1st sub Munoz coming on for Saka won me my mini league from 21 points behind and he used his triple Captain on Palmer this week.

Rough. Nothing really. Happy with 89 points and finish of 180k after a bad winter

Rough: Håland (C), double Arsenal defence for the first time this season only yielding 3 points.

Smooth: Triple Palace of Mateta, Muñoz and Mitchell. Foden, Isak and Son also contributing for 88 points.

Rough ... Man City win a 4th title in a row.

      Smooth... It's tournament time.

      Enjoy

Tried to make up an 18pt gap to make it into the top 10k so went differential Son(c) and brought in TAA as my only transfer, both moves went ok but they were nowhere near enough to reach my goal or even get a green arrow as I eventually finished on 67pts and a small red to 20k overall, I didn't reach my target but I'm happy enough with that in the end 🙂

Smooth: Won all my competitive MLs.
Rough: Red arrow, missed top 1K by 7 points and finished 2nd in my country league

I'd have snapped your hand off for that result before today. A brilliant season for me. Looking forward to Euro Fantasy. I actually PREFER international tournament fantasy typically. It just enhances the experience so much and the games being on every day during the group stages adds to the hype.

Will take a couple weeks off then straight back into it!

Rough: Sold Dalot for Gabriel and benched Isak for Jackson
Smooth: Brought in Eze, got a green arrow and ended up in top 10k (8,656)

      Overall for the season:
      SMOOTH

Won my money ML, work league and local club league
Runner up on FFS Members cup.

Was chasing a near insurmountable 39 point ML rival who was cert to captain Haaland. So I decided to do Haaland -> Mateta. Best transfer of my season. Alas, still couldn’t catch him…

Rouch: had to gamble the couple of last GWs. Cancelled my BB in 37 (had 15pts on the bench). Went BB in 38 and only got 5pts from it.

Smooth: Did Isak, Gordon Ran to TAA, Eze, Mateta for -8 this GW. ML leader started the GW 34pts in front. He ended 24pts behind me. Victory! 105pts this GW. palmer(c)

Smooth: Isak over Jackson, mostly back the player over the fixture and paid off here as the only differential in my very template season-end team. Up to 59k and gained ~195k places in the last 5 GWs for a respectable season result

Rough: nothing really, happy with the finish. Go again in August.

Rough - benched vvd, double Ars cs busted.

Smooth - Got in Eze and made him cap. Own mateta and foden. Got me 103 points, green arrow from 82k > 37k

Smooth: brought in Havertz rather than Saka.

Rough: Havertz actually played, which meant Isak stayed on the bench.

Rough: looking at Isak and Dalot bench points and Haaland captain - all ifs and buts but theoretically could’ve been 10k

Smooth: but all in all had an enjoyable season and a good last day. Eze and Porro starred and also pleased to have stood by VDV. Just dipped under 30k with highest points ever.

Just want to say thanks to everyone on this site. I’ve loved the banter and the advice and data has been an important part of my decision making.

      See you next year

Rough: Going for Olise over Eze and benching Isak as part of a 28 point bench score.

Smooth: the drop from the rough not brutal enough that I was still able to secure a fourth Top 20k finish in eight years.

    17. nanxun
      • 4 Years
      1 year, 6 months ago

ROUGH: brought in Saka for Bruno F., went for Olise instead of Eze, double ARS defense, Haaland (c) blank

SMOOTH: Isak first on bench, Foden and Porro hauls

Total of 73 pts., small green arrow brought OR from 102k to 94k, allowing me to end on a positive note by reaching personal goal of getting under 100k.

Looking forward to the Euros. Cheers, guys!

Smooth; Third straight green and finished at a season high but still terrible rank of 537k. However I was at 5.5m pre-Xmas! Started Mateta ahead of Solanke, Odegaard, Palmer, Son, Salah, Van de Ven and Henderson all returned.

Rough; Finishing at 537k but avoided my worst season ever. Haaland(c) prob cost me top 500k as I'm sure a few went elsewhere Palmer, Salah etc. Brought in Trossard for Gordon who blanked. About sums it up!
