      Nope; Garnacho is 6.5 as is Mount. Brennan Johnson is also 6.5. Nkunku is a massive risk with his lack of PL experience and playing under a new manager.

        Johnson's position might be at risk with Solanke joining....Kulu/ Johnson might rotate.....not sure on MUN players

      Out of those A, because Foden might not start GW1. But also tbh, don't know about. Chelsea assets anymore with all the attackers they have now. Palmer might be the only nailed player there.

    "João Félix has already said yes to Chelsea return. His agent Jorge Mendes was informed yesterday.

    Negotiations ongoing between Chelsea and Atléti, as revealed last night — it’s up to Chelsea now."

    If Felix comes as well, it honestly makes Nkunku a difficult pick tbh, imo at least cause he plays in the same position as him.

    So I managed to sneak in a 4 Spurs possible GW1 BB team…

    Flekken / Sels
    Gabriel / Saliba / Porro / VDV / Murillo
    Son / Saka / Gordon / Jota / LDiaz
    Isak / Solanke / Wood

    Should I go for it….??

    I don't often ask for a RMT. But I've just tweaked it again as LIV's opening run is too good to ignore. But I also think Salah is too expensive.

    Hendo, Jorgensen;
    Gvardiol, Munoz, Robinson, Barco, THB;
    Jota, Diaz, Nkunku, ESR, Minteh;
    Haaland, Isak, Solanke

    4.0m itb, ready to upgrade to Saka once he's up and running.

      You're already close to being able to afford Salah why not just do Diaz > Salah by downgrading Nkunku/Solanke?

      Salah + Bobb/Amad/CHO/Rogers seems perfectly good esp since that last mid slot is your 8th attacker and doesn't have to start every game.

      1. Paul Psychic Octopus
        • 14 Years

        I know. This is also the Solanke/Wood/Joao Pedro conundrum, to raise the necessary funds. Or downgrade Minteh to Rogers.

        I just like the double LIV attack for the first few weeks, despite rotation risk.

      I'd just get Saka from the start. He's already got some minutes under his belt.

      Wolves, Villa and Brighton don't have the best of defences.

      1. Here's Tom with the We…

        I hadn't realised Saka now has minutes.
        In which case you are right. Won't want to go without Saka or Havertz during the season.

        Next test is what you make with Saka/Haaland/Salah. The rich vein of 5.5 Mids plus some 4.0 Defs offer hope

    I'm cooling on Gvardiol given City's tendendcy to concede just the one. Porro feels like an absolutely blockbuster option that's guaranteed to be attacking... and absolutely guaranteed to concede at least one

        indeed. Cancelo at 7m was still a great option and then fell off a cliff 22-23 (the only prem defender that had any joy for the 5ATB)

        I'd be pretty seething if he raked in the points though. There's FOMO and then there's leaving Gvardiol out if he was to hit the nitrous

    3. The Mentaculus

      At least Porro has 'no-strikers' Leicester and Everton up first. Hilariously, that spread betting link posted earlier had Winks in 2nd for Leicester with something like 1.5 - 2.5 G for the season.

      I'm also cooling on Gvardiol to start since there's no signs of him marauding forward yet & I don't really know when Rodri will be back (and don't trust their defence anywhere near as much Arsenal's without him)

      1. Ser Davos
        • 10 Years

        I agree with all that, though Leicester still has Vardy and no one's been discussing him at all... so we know what happens

        I’m not sure it’s combo related because both players in the combo are good, it’s more about which player I want to lay 7m on really.

        (Saliba & Wood/Muniz)

          Can basically do

          Trent & Wood/Muniz
          Saliba & Solanke
          Porro & Solanke
          Hall & Havertz

          It’s more about which expensive player will have the bigger output because I’m happy with all the second options in the combo

          1. Tonyawesome69
            • 6 Years

            Find it difficult comparing DEF v FWD.

            Also difficult picking one of the combos as well. Maybe lean towards Saliba and Solanke.

      Really sorry, but that’s one of the worst teams I’ve seen.

    Draft trade opinions if I may ask please. Which of these combos wins?

    A) Jackson and Salah

    B) Havertz and Foden

    C) Toney and Saka

      B) established players and no new managers.
      Then C) for the same reason, followed by A) where we have 2 new managers

        Toney is absolute muck, he did nothing at all last season. Havertz and Foden are the most/second most important attackers for Arsenal and City

          Well being banned for half of it didn’t help. Fine if you want a £9.5m player on your bench for the first few weeks.
