      Obvious cash cow is Solanke, but I don’t think many would object to Gordon, either.

    * = Players coming in. I have 4.7M to cover off that last DEF slot. So 4.0 leaves me 0.7 ITB or 4.5 to leave 0.2 ITB. Currently have Johnson there but he didn't play. Ditched ESR as I like what I'm seeing more from Semenyo & Rogers. Got rid of Gordon this week, feels odd to bring him back in but ESR over Gordon leaves 2.7M in the bank..

        Agreed, but he is one of their two main talismans and if Barnes is starting on the other wing, thus not risking his mins and he's on as many set-pieces as he is, he will come good. I rate him so highly (should've been the first pick for LW in the EUROs - that's how high I rate him)

    In GW5 would then sell Saka (Mci A) to fund one of Jota or Diaz to Salah (c) for Bou (H)

            He got 90 mins game 1 (note that Liverpool scored their first in the 60th)
            He got 71 mins game 2 (he came off after Liverpool got their second - 70th min and were cruising)
            He got 65 mins game 3 (bagged a brace and Liverpool were in cruise control 3-0 at Old Trafford)

            He's being rested, not hooked, big difference IMO. Guy is doing what we expected of him when he first signed three years ago. Combine that with NFO, BOU, wol, cry, CHE in his next five. I WANT him, badly.

    The Salah and Haaland teams started ladt season really well and surged ahead.

    Two bigger hitters showed consistency while less players struggled for form.

    We are seeing a similar pattern again as both players hit 40+ points.

    By GWs 7-10 this might slow down as EPL teams find form and fitness.

    For now many of the top ranking managers have both.

      We need the premium midfield bracket to start offering competitive value.

      Foden, Palmer, Saka, Son - we need them to start delivering consistently to make us move away from the big two setup.

        You say that but arguably they have. Foden aside, Saka has returned every match and Palmer and Son both have a mega haul to their name already. Just shows how crazy Salah and Haaland are that they are STILL so far ahead.

        I had two drafts, one with both, one with just Haaland, my team is off to a flyer with 256 points, yeah having both has done well for some but loads of teams with just one are doing equally as well.

          No I don’t think it is true loads have done well with just one. Some, like yourself, have picked very astutely and done superbly, but when you have two players on 41 points and no one else even close, it must be true that most squads that have started strongly have both, and it was always the lower risk play.

          Palmer and Saka have a combined 49 points for £20m. So for Salah to be worth it so far you need to have 8 points from a £7.5m player etc

    To put into context what Haaland and Salah are doing right now. A player averaging 6 points a game across the season is truly elite.

    They could both get 2 points a week for the next 6 GWs and still only be 1 point behind this pace.

      Not really no, people went early on him (myself included) but he’s clearly not fit yet, he’s got 2 more weeks of training now, once fit his numbers will improve.
