Wondering what the effects of the international break will be, will Darwin see more minutes afterwards because he's staying in Liverpool, Chiesa will almost certainly get 20 mins for somebody.

It could alter poor performing teams and stifle good ones, quite random sometimes.

All I know is it takes far too long to get back to PL football to see my inevitable rank drop from my Lewis -4 move tonight!

They're away to Milan on the Tuesday night so Slot will probably hook lads early if they're a couple of goals up in second half v Forest.

There's already a 'get the game won' early doors feel to Slot. A pleasing alternative to late-stage Klopp's rather turgid 1st half tactics.

We'll see how that goes against better quality opposition than GW1-3 but it's good for breeding confidence for tougher tests.

I'm hopeful all of them come off frequently on 75, all long as the same guys are starting and a comfortable 60 mins plus leeway I'm happy.

Any of ye playing UCL FF this year, the rules have changed a bit but not much. The old hitters v minnows in MD 3 and 4 has gone though. A lot more interesting to pick a team with no groups and 8 opponents rather than 3 in the league phase.

Over the next four that seems like a sideways move. Over the next two, I’d take Salah (NFO, BOU) over Palmer (bou, whm) but idk it doesn’t seem like it’s worth -4.

Yes, I'd expect Salah to outscore Palmer in the next 2 GWs and beyond
Liverpool is better than Chelsea as a team
Salah is also superior to Palmer I think

to be fair though, I benched Amad, Gabriel and Raya in gw2 - 22 points when Arsenal were away to Aston Villa over Hall Bournemouth away, De Ligt and Onana Brighton away. that was a 19 point swing. Ideal path is CHO to Minteh for 2 then Semenyo but you could save a future FT & go straight to Semenyo, he looks all action so could get a return against anyone.

5 shots in a game at the weekend should not be overlooked, as an attacking side, Bournemouth should trouble most teams.

    Wildcarders, two questions.

If you have Robinson will you be keeping him for the next block of fixs knowing that you’re relying on attacking returns?

If you are punting on Rico Lewis, is he your 3rd or 4th defender?

The Wire is an American crime drama television series created and primarily written by American author and former police reporter David Simon. The series was broadcast by the cable network HBO in the United States. The Wire premiered on June 2, 2002, and ended on March 9, 2008, comprising sixty episodes over five seasons. The idea for the show started out as a police drama loosely based on the experiences of Simon's writing partner Ed Burns, a former homicide detective and public school teacher.[4]

On WC what would you prefer

      A. Saka and wissa + 4.5 def
      B. Havertz and mbuemo + 5.5 def (only options I see are porro and timber so could just go 4.5 here too)

Also enables Saka to Salah the week after for free if needed.

Isak is far away from a big score unless Newcastle improve by Tonali's return to the starting lineup after the break.

Always feel Brighton do well when you don’t expect them to and fail when you back them.

Rotation worries me with all the attacking talent. Not wildcarding yet so might do the same move purely on form and fixtures

  20. Lallana_

I am rank 227K but I feel as though wildcarding is beneficial now even though my team doesn't need it.

I want to structure my team where I have:

Salah, Haaland - to rotate captaincy
    &
Palmer - might want Saka, Foden, De Bruyne or Son later on and it's an easy move

currently I only have Haaland and I can identify all the good value 5.5M-6.5M players to fill the rest of my team.

Optimal triple ups from Liverpool and Arsenal?
I think TAA Salah Jota/Diaz from Liverpool
and Raya Saka Saliba/Havertz from Arsenal

Im currently at Robbo Jota Diaz Saka and Havertz but I need to change that

    Thoughts on my WC?

    Flekken, Fab
    TAA, Robbo, Robinson, Konsa, Greaves
    Salah, Eze, Mitoma, Semenyo, Rogers
    Haaland, Havertz, Pedro

0.2 ITB. Plan is Saka, Gabriel/Saliba + Mbuemo in for GW6.

I like it besides planning transfers. Downgrade Havertz to maybe get in Gabriel/Raya now and bank the cash.

Can’t go wrong with Arsenal defence, but think I prefer Havertz for the upside until GW6. Not a lover of the cheaper forwards besides Pedro and maybe Wood/Wissa.

I love it. Max 2 premiums at this stage is the way to go IMO. I'm not locked into Saka on GW6 WC. Havertz might be enough cover. Have no Arsenal currently having done Saka to Salah

        • 10 Years

Thanks and yeah, good point on not locking into Saka. Salah could be a season-long hold, and has decent fixtures from 6-8.

Mine is very very similar but I have Raya, Saka & Wood where you have Flekken, Mitoma/Eze & Havertz.

I’m looking at no Saka because circumstances have changed & I now have Salah but I’m going to ride it out until GW6.

I don’t believe anyone selling Saka for Salah will reverse it so I prefer both now & restructure once it’s clear.

Excellent. I think this is how I'd build a WC team for this week. I'd maybe go for Lewis over Konsa and perhaps a different mid to Mitoma like Madueke.

Good news for me, is that I'm more or less setup like this price point wise already without the WC.

Those of who have done saka -> salah...what are your thoughts for GW6? Saka looks like a good captaincy shout for that week,gw7 and hw8

People will not switch back so they’ll have to accept going without.

Let’s walk through the lack of logic, people are taking Saka out for Salah because they think Salah will run wild, if Salah runs wild, no one is selling him, fear would not allow them to.

When I look at fixtures I'm thinking Havertz is enough cover and has always been on my mind to get at some stage. I know Saka scores good points over a season but can't remember mega hauls and maybe 2× mid range players can cover Saka + cheap enabler points

      1. subhojit123

Pretty confident that the combo in most teams in a few weeks time will be defender, Sterling, Havertz with Salah & Haaland taking the 10m+ spots.

Sterling will start v Spurs, Ange will play into his hands with his high line.

You know what... Of course this team looks great, based on what we know and see now. But I cant help but think that this is also the pitfall of these types of wildcard teams.

Semenyo, Pedro, Rogers and Wissa are flavours of the month, but what if they give you 2pointers two GWs in a row and the fixture swing Arsenals way?

Just Wood to JP (Saka to Salah for free next week or this week for -4) and stick (2.5ITB)? Tempted by WC but maybe should wait until GW8...?

Why are people so against taking out Isak if it means bringing in Salah with the extra funds?

I could WC from a position of strength this week. Instead I choose to take a bit more risks, more information, more players I'd rather have coming back from injury. Fixtures are more interesting to me from 6 onwards definitely.
