As a United Fan, I used my WC last week and brought in Palmer, Mandueke, and Jackson thinking Chelsea will batter United this GW and ETH gets sacked but now the sacking happened 1 week early,

What should I do with Mandueke and Jackson?
    1. Keep both as non of the united Players are getting sacked with ETH.
    2. Keep Jackson and transfer Mandueke out

Just the 1 free transfer this week. Is this team good to roll the transfer?

    Raya
    Trent, Ait Nouri, Davis
    Palmer, Mbeumo, Eze, Rogers
    Haaland, Cunha, Wissa

    Fabianski, Mitoma, Pau, Konsa

Some seasons determine whether to be patient with hits or not I feel, but this season I think it has to be done, the scene changes so quickly and takes too long to change without hits

It’s not, any which way you play is entirely up to you, just in my opinion this is the season to take risks, especially with such a plethora of high performing players the turnaround can be instant, also depends a lot on rank, which for myself I have nothing to lose haha

              It's not.

The "scene" changes quickly every year. And in fact, when banking transfers, it takes no time to change without hits. Planning > Hits.

I hear you, but imo it does take too long to rack up FT’s to take advantage of the good fixtures in time, but like I say it’s all subjective, I’ve had to take my second hit of the season last night because it just needs to be done at my lofty rank

It all depends, doesn't it? It's great to plan but sometimes price changes, fixture shifts, circumstances etc dictate a decisive early action.

Yes imo. That's very positive transfer momentum but I still think Rogers could well be a season keep. He's cheap enough to bench through the next few tough games then he'll make a return to the team once the fixtures clear up and you fodder your 8th attacker to get a big hitter in

I feel like Rogers is such good value for money that he’s worth keeping. Rogers is also about to Spurs so he has a good chance to return. Is Saka a better option than Rogers? Yes, so get Saka if it’s down to those two but I think Rogers is a keep n

Hmm an interesting hit available here. Potentially the first of my season. Exciting.

Dibling, Watkins, Havertz > Saka, Raul, Wissa -4

Rogers would be relegated to bench for his 3 away games in 4 vs tot, liv, che.

Problem with this line is that I can't deal with Gabriel and am forced to play VdB instead.

It looks good though Watkins can easily score big vs Spurs, I’d like it more if it was Cunha instead of Raul but this means selling Rogers instead of Dibling

Raul is actually really good on the underlyings. He's better than Wood and Cunha for shots inside the box. And he's more creative too, creating 4 big chances.

Cunha's fixtures are better for longer but you get 5 really good fixtures for Raul and then can decide after what to do once his tough run begins.

I am puzzled why the pundits and fans expect great things from MU. They are a middle of the table team. It is sad for the fans who remember what they were but placing an unreachable expectation on them is not helpful.
With a new manager they will hopefully improve.

I'd love to hear the names of the managers who have "turned us down" in the past decade. Klopp's the only one who sprang to mind and he was put off by Woodward, nothing to do with the club itself.

        1. Digital-Real
          • 9 Years

UTD tried for Ancelotti in the past, couldn't convince Poch or Conte, and then most recently Tuchel.
To believe Klopp was put off by Woodward is UTD fans in denial, he said he didn't feel it.

Here's the thing, why are football fans shocked at UTD's demise? This is par for the course, pre Fergie they weren't a team challenging for titles and in their 145 year history, they've only ever had 2 successful managers. Most their success came under Fergie.

So called biggest club in the world!!

          1. x.jim.x
            • 11 Years

Ancelotti was at Real Madrid at the time, I don't think there's a club on earth that would be able to compete there. We also never approached Poch, Conte or Tuchel - you're just lapping up any old nonsense on Twitter there.

Klopp has said he was specifically put off by Woodward's "adult Disneyland" comments - he wrote it in his biography. Why would he go and meet with him if he wasn't interested in the first place?

The fact that you're calling still playing Champions League football and winning trophies a "demise" pretty much answers your own question. Fergie set the standards ridiculously high, so while our "banter era" is pretty dismal, it's better than 99% of other clubs out there.

Comparing the club pre-Fergie to now is also daft. It's like comparing City pre and post takeover, the landscape has changed and you're just coming across as facetious.

            1. Digital-Real
              • 9 Years

Ancelotti was at PSG not Real Madrid at the time when UTD approached him, I understand they also tried for Jose at the time who was at Madrid.

You're in denial, that the managers mentioned weren't approached by UTD. Reports suggest otherwise.

Klopp spoke to other clubs too as well as UTD, football managers do that, maybe out of courtesy. Infact LFC spoke to Klopp in 2012.

Fergie set the bar high for domestic competitions, he didn't dominate Europe. In fact UTD have never dominated Europe.

"I can say that I still keep a fantastic relationship with Sir Alex, and we met when he decided to stop (retire). But I was close to Real Madrid, and so I appreciate the fact that at that time he talked to me. And that’s it, no other opportunity [to manage United]." - misremembered slightly, but Ancelotti had already been offered the Madrid job (and signed about a month later) when Fergie retired, so the point stands.

I'd love to see some of these reports, thanks!

Talking to other clubs doesn't change the fact that Klopp was interested in becoming the United manager. People don't go for interviews and tours "out of courtesy" - would be a complete waste of everyone's time.

I never claimed anywhere that we dominated Europe, now you're just arguing points for the sake of it?

Dunno why everyone is shipping Haaland. Only takes a brace for people to regret

The money gives you more options for captaincy. I can have salah saka palmer and still money to beef up elsewhere. Chasing a bit too, so looking to try something different to my mini league rivals.

This. He's a permanent fix in my team. Might look for other ways to bring in Salah.

Yup. Had he scored hattrick vs Southampton this would not have a discussion. It was a rare event him missing chances like that.
Salah on other hand has looked awful at times. Hes banging the penalties and yday he scored with his only chance. We all know also saka is consistent but rarely hauls big

Should I go Semenyo, TAA and Solanke to Palmer, RAN and Strand Larsen before the price rises tonight for a -4?

Despite another 10 point haul, was Salah any good? Didnt watch the game

Nope. Did nothing except an easy finish after a good trent ball to nunez who played a precise pass to salah

id argue its a 2 pointer if gabriel and timber stay on the pitch. wouldnt judge salah on that game though tbf, toughest match all season for him. Aside from the goal he wasn't bad, just didn't see much of the ball in threatening areas

Raul or Cunha? If Raul then I can stretch to Salah in a week or so. No Salah if I have Cunha

So what's the combo Raul + Salah vs Cunha + MID?

It'd be Cunha + Haaland + Palmer (also have Johnson/mbeumo in the Mid)

I have TAA in defence who would also be sacrificed for the Salah move

Depends on how you plan to get Salah and other premiums you have, or would move to if not Salah, but in isolation Cunha for me with long run of fixtures

I agree, really like Cunha fixtures but does prevent me getting Salah (as I intend to keep Haaland).

Just wondering if I can get by with Raul. So it's whether Raul and Salah score more than Cunha and haaland/Palmer
