    Anything you would change?
Tell me BB this is madness!

    Fabianski
    Ganriel Timber Mazraoui
    Salah (c) Saka Palmer Mbeumo
    Isak Larsen JPedro

    Subs: Sele Rogers Lewis Gomez

play Rogers (MCY) or Pedro (whu)?
Rogers looked quite involved vs Forrest whilst Pedro hasn't played well for a few gameweeks. It's a must win game for Villa so I expect goals.

Alright ladies and gents, simple on for you this week; pick one of the below to start:

    a) Amad vs BOU
    b) JP vs whu

Currently leaning Amad but its a close one. Ty in advance for any input 🙂

At the moment it's the following:

        Salah (C) - Palmer - Saka - Rogers - Amad
        Cunha - Jackson

I could start JP over Rogers, however as a Man City fan I'm fully expecting us to concede (at least) two goals a game atm xD

Yeah Rogers tbh is the easiest bench due to fixture. But if you want to play him, then JP bench.

Yeah people who own him just need someone they’re willing to play off the bench. Bench players will be needed during the Xmas rush anyway.

I feel it should be an easy bench. My only worry is all of Brentfords home games tend to be a goal fest (an average of 5 goals a game this season at the Gtech) and Wood is bound to be a part of that.

No doubt I'm over thinking things

Depends when you plan on playing them.

TAA Gabriel are locks, then it’s a matter of picking your 3rd defender or rotating with a 4th.

2 good bits of analysis this week:
    Zophar advocating Sarr:https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2024/12/17/best-cheap-midfielders-mbeumo-replacing-wolves-fpl-qa
    FPLScoop advocating Iwobi:https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2024/12/19/iwobi-smith-rowe-jimenez-who-is-the-best-fulham-pick-in-fpl

I'm torn as to which one as Rogers replacement. Both cost 5.7, but one clearly leads in head to head on comparison tool.
Bringing in Munoz as my RAN replacement.

    Sels (Muric)
    Timber, Gabriel, Robinson (VDB, RAN)
    Semenyo, Palmer, Saka, Salah, (Rogers)
    Wissa, Pedro, Jackson

As I've just said above about Munoz, just bare in mind Palace's attack this season as a reason to be cautious about Sarr. Fixtures is increasingly running out of time as a reason for mitigation as we head towards the halfway point and teams have played everyone once

give Sarr the next 2 GWs to carry on showing good things. esp with Eze out and Wharton not back yet. Sarr will need those 2 fit and firing to really kick on this season, Kamada coming in won't be be great for Arsenal

Regarding the comments from the Wolves manager on Cunha, it's possible he might be referring to Cunha's mental condition following the FA charges, rather than his physical fitness.

Cunha admitted he's an emotional person, so perhaps the manager is considering this as far as his team selection is concerned?

    1. Jet5605

I doubt it. Wolves are considerably better with Cunha than without him. I'd be amazed if the player himself didn't want to play.

There's never going to be a good time to BB regards the defenders imo this season. If you aren't using it in a double and a lot won't be because we've got so many chips to juggle now, just use it when you've got 4 fit and in favour options on the bench.

    3. g40steve
      • 7 Years
      11 months, 27 days ago

I’m thinking about it, got 4 fit players on bench

      1. Tommy Template
        • 11 Years

realistically any chip where you have to field 15 and 7 of them are keepers or defenders is not going to be that good so I wouldn't sweat about it too much. The main bit is probably that the 8th attacking options has a decent game on paper rather than the defenders.

        1. Zladan
          • 8 Years
          11 months, 27 days ago

I think my average BB return over the last 3 years has been 25 points. That is of course by fielding the best XI to make it a fair measure.

20 points minimum is the aim really for all chips.

          1. Tommy Template
            • 11 Years
            11 months, 27 days ago

I don't see 20 points from your bench most weeks but it can happen of course it can. But to actually aim for it? I'm not sure its possible given there's so few defences returning anything most weeks and they are most of your bench. I've had 21 once this season but 12 of them were from one player which was the attacking player, the 3 defensive options on the bench contributed 9 points total. Everything else this season I've had single figures.

            1. Zladan
              • 8 Years
              11 months, 27 days ago

It’s not that difficult when you use the BB on a DGW. I always save for then. Little value outside of the DGWs.

In a DGW, the 4 players need to play twice to get 16 points. Then if you pick the right players they get returns to take you over 20.

Imo there is no reason to play outside a DGW. Even with this Assistant Manager chip. BB TC are best used in DGW still.

                11 months, 27 days ago

Makes more sense that you mentioned the double. You do have to set your team up to actually have 15 doublers in the first place as well of course. I don't know that we're going to get enough doubles this year to use all the chips on and I've always seen BB as the worst chip so not too fussed about using it on a single GW.

                  TC Salah DGW24

Dead end team to GW29 (benching high value gained assets who blank, selling the rest)

                  WC30

AM Chip 31-33 (no doubles it seems, but good time to use for the 3 consecutive weeks)

Can’t recall if it was you I replied to earlier, but this is effectively the template you should have. I don’t see any reason to not have:

      G Fabianski
      TAA Gabriel D1 D2 D3
      Salah Palmer Saka Amad M
      Isak Jackson JPedro/Raul

      Things to keep in mind:
      Look ahead to DGW24
Plan how often you use D2 & D3
M should just rotate with Amad and JPedro/Raul - Rogers fixtures great.

I’d recommend evaluating the following:l according to your budget:

      G: Pickford
D1/2/3: Myko Robinson Castagne Andersen Muñoz Lewis Mazraoui Dalot
      M: Rogers/Iwobi/McNeil

Avoid triple ups until close to the weekend or run you need. Manager picks in mind here.

      1. Zladan
        • 8 Years

Throw Sarr/Eze into the M list, Sarr more feasible, but budget surely limits most there to have the best of the rest.

      2. Jet5605

Appreciate the input. Although Everton got a great CS at the Emirates I'm.bery wary of their awful fixtures hence my reluctance to look at Pick or Myk. I'll definitely mull over the rest. Cheers

          • 8 Years

The Everton picks are there because Fabianski and Pickford rotate well until the DGW… Myko can pretty much sit on the bench barely taking up budget until DGW24 for 2 home fixtures. Everton also becoming one of the better defences in the league.

Lots of DGW24 bias in those picks of course. But otherwise it’s Palace and Fulham at similar price points with good fixtures.

I did for a -4. Easiest move I made this year. Isak is the beat striker in the game and has Ipswich.

Start 1. I own Jackson & Palmer for context.

    A. Rogers
    B. Enzo

      A. Enzo is a waste of Chelsea 3rd spot. Blocks Maresca possibilities also.

Dang. I've got a bad feeling I've made a mistake jumping off Cunha (to Isak) this week I can see Cunha starting and getting a hattie with Isak having a nightmare 2 or 1 pointer.

I kept Cunha, but the opposite could happen just as easily, no reason to keep thinking about it, what's done is done.

I was more worried about Isak returns than Cunha points before I made the move for a -4. Will pay off in the long run and Isak price is rocketing.

Stuff like this is why I'm no longer making early transfers to catch price rises etc. I'm really starting to regret making this move.

Holding off the transfer, prioritizing Semenyo to Amad

Haha playing the anti-jinx early I see! I'm sure Isak will get a Hatfield!
