      Yeah, I think so.

He'll need to build up fitness so I'd imagine he gets 60-70 in each game with Bradley getting sub appearance in both.

Have you considered Beto as your cheap striker? Plays West Ham in the blank too, and can be benched in most games

Hi all. If Watkins is confirmed available in presser, given that Gakpo is now a doubt, what should I do here:
    A) Gakpo to Watkins and Hall to Hujisen (-8) - can't do just one
    B) Play Mbeumo and bench Gakpo
    C) Gakpo to Wissa (-4)( benched) and play AM on Slot
    D) Risk Gakpo and keep Mbeumo benched (play AM on Emery)
    E) Risk Gakpo and keep Mbeumo benched (do not play AM)

    Cheers.

Thanks. I don't think I can bring myself to bench Wood after the hattie though. It doesn't feel good whoever I bench - my main reason for Mbeumo is that my ML rival doesn't have him, but does have Wood, and I'm defending a lead.

Hi Ze Austin. I have similar position. Thinking E or B.

You would play Gapko? All my other mids are pen takers. Salah Kluivert Rogers (possibly) Palmer Isak and Mateta upfront.

Gapko score points at home basically as does Mbeumo unless he gets a pen

I was just a little confused about benching a pen taker or not over Gapko

Is City's fixture that good though? Obviously free hitters have to use the budget so Haaland and Foden will be in but Brighton can be a tricky opponent. They can be awful too I grant you but then so can City. If there weren't blanks then would anyone really be thinking I desperately want Haaland for 29?

I’m moving towards bringing in Haaland after the Liverpool game as a way of breaking into the top 100k. It won’t only be FH’ers.

            Still FH in 29 mate?

Thinking of saving as many FT is I can from next gw28. Will be 3 max and see what the fa cup draw is like.

I prefer a Haaland Salah double up than Palmer GW29 onwards tbh

It's just do I play Gapko before gw 28.

      Got the funds to spare?

Kerkez looks threatening all game as he dovetails with the winger, while Huijsen is a bonus monster with set-piece threat

Their prices make Huijsen better value, I think

    3. FantasyClub

Huijsen vs Kerkez- Per 90 stats this season:

      xGI- 0.16 vs 0.10
      Big Chances- 0.15 vs 0.00
Shots inside the box- 0.65 vs 0.30
Big Chances Created- 0.07 vs 0.22

Southampton have also conceded the most Attempts from Set pieces which suits Huijsen in this game more compared to Kerkez.

I'm not fully aware of when City's DGW will fall, but I've earmarked that for the fixtures where they can go 3+ goals per game, especially if City is fighting for Europe

Or I might just go for a table bonus play vs beached teams

      No.

I am in the same boat.

It's is either GW 36 or I don't BB in GW 33 but have double 11 players. And be using Palace from 32 to 34 or 33 to 35.

It could be a massive upside play.

      mci (BOU new) ars NOT.

If Palace blank in GW34 I may rethink it

      Otherwise it's gw36

Two weeks later and I still haven't made my transfer. And I'm not really much closer to deciding. The plan all along was Wood > Watkins but the lingering fitness question and the Wood hat-trick has made it difficult.

Hi Camzy - as a way of looking at it, if you disregarded Villa’s extra game against Liverpool—given they're the toughest opponent in the league—would that alter your decision-making? Looking at their respective fixtures and assuming you had neither Wood nor (an assumed fit) Watkins, who would you prefer? If you decide to keep Wood, would you be happy holding him all the way through Gameweek 29 for Ipswich away? Just some hypotheticals.

I get that it’s about chasing upside - Villa at home to Ipswich is really appealing - but Wood does still feel a solid pick (for info, I sold him pre-haul, have Rogers and Emery AM, getting Watkins would be for a hit & create a benching headache, but still very tempted).

In the overall FPL league just 2 out of the current top 10 teams have a top 100k or above final rank in any previous seasons. I guess that means that there's a chance that any of us who haven't already done so might hit the heights in the future.

Seen a few posts going for Kerkez over Huijsen but apart from being attacking LB on the eye test, is that enough to justify Kerkez?

For me, prefer Huijsen 4.4m over Kerkez 5.0m.

    - 0.6m cheaper
    - higher xGI/90 data at 0.1xG + 0.06xA /90 than Kerkez 0.02xG + 0.08xA/90
    - higher baseline bonus at 13.79 v 9.68
    - more bonus points with less starts 11 in 13 starts v 8 in 24 starts
    - lower ownership

This is where eye test is important. Huijsen xG and BPs are from scoring set piece goals which may or may not continue at the current rate. Kerkez is obviously more attacking and getting into good positions regularly but might not register the touches in the box or xG or xA to bump him up until they do and he goes on a run and his numbers suddenly look amazing.

      1. Tommy Template
        • 11 Years

Its a flaw of the XG model. Kerkez is like Robinson, gets into good positions most games but the data doesn't always pick it up. Huijsen only goal threat is set plays which arguably is less sustainable but the data picks up his chances.

I bought Huijsen back in GW16 shortly after hearing Senesi had a long term injury. Did my research and he has an incredible goal scoring record for a CB.

It’s a bit like Gabriel vs White. That said, all things being equal, I’d go with Kerkez.

This is my final decision today for Hall.

I am a eye test manager and Kerkez is the pick, but doing a fixture planner saving 0.5 if I don't fh29. Very tight as it needs a hit, comes in very handy to get Haaland in gw2o as a permanent transfer (selling Palmer) and there after

My point is that it can be favourable to have a strong backup/competition for a defender in FPL.

Liverpool are better as an attacking force with Trent. Given the Everton result, I think it’s more likely Trent starts the majority of games and is rested towards the end of them - like earlier in the season.

Bournemouth mids a lottery? or is there a standout pick? Kluivert being bought in droves - must be an opportunity to back against him. Any transfer I make is locked in for 5 weeks also.

Might go Gordon > Dango (-4) for the thrill yet

certainly feels a lottery - penalties seems to be weighting to Kluivert. Considering the double up as rank is 900k

They're all good is probably the main thing. You might not get the best one but you should get a good asset either way hopefully

    Salah Palmer Kluivert Rogers Amad
    Isak Watkins Gakpo

    2FT's + £1.4m

    Any transfers or roll?

Anyone keeping Sels through fixtures 26-28 or selling?

I don't have him but I'd absolutely keep if I did. Unless they lose 5-0 at Fulham, or something like that.

Keeping for sure. Don't transfers on a keeper. Esp someone as good as Sels.

Never use a transfer on GK imo unless injured

Definitely. Best GK in the game, not wasting FTs on that (even if free to WC him back in)

    A couple of qiestions;

    1. Is Gakpo > Watkins for - 4 worth the hit (Y or N)

    2. Use AM Chip on Slot/Emery or TC Salah?

    Feedback welcomed thanks 🙂

      2. Not the week to play AM if it's not already active.

TC probably the last double gameweek for Salah, so worth a shot there. If not now, may need to be Haaland/Palmer late in the season.

      1. I decided not to. Watkins a doubt, and you'll need to get him out anyway in the future. That's another hit. Also Gakpo should play at least one game. Possibly two.

£1.8m ITB 1 FT (TC Mo)

    Allison
    TAA, Gab, Huijsen (Robinson, Myko)
    Salah, Palmer, Kluivert, Rogers, Bruno
    Isak, Wood (pedro)

    a) roll
    b) Bruno out (Dango/Mbeumo) - chasing so prefer Dango

Really don't love Bruno in the team, but does play 29 (chip status not decided) and has IPS 27 and lei 29

So it's either -4 with Moyes to emery Gordon to Kluivert or
-8 with Moyes to slot Gakpo to Watkins & Gordon to dango

It's like we're the same team.

I literally just considered both options, but then did the Emery/Kluivert instead.

      My thoughts:
      1. Watkins a risk
      2. Gakpo will probably get at least the 2nd game
      3. Kluivert might miss a game soon with his wife pregnant, but being on pens he's a stronger option than Dango. And Amad on my bench to cover if he doesn't play.
      4. Save 4 points on the extra hit.
      5. Aston Villa players I probably want to drop anyway, so it'll end up being a double hit. Just not worth it.

Oh yeah -8 makes FH 29 much easier! Something I don't wanna do, But thing about Gakpo is pool have Southampton at home in 28 so may just risk it with Gakpo! Also need update from emery that Watkins is 100% fit

      the -4 looks better IMO

Emery has the chance to replicate Moyes score given home form

Gakpo confirmed being out may change this

I'm fine with Emery, but Gakpo is the issue, obviously i don't think we'll get to know much tonight with the game on sunday! Let's see what's the update on Watkins

How the f' did I miss this, when I brought in Kluivert yesterday (had exact funds, so coudln't risk a price rise)
"Justin Kluivert (£5.9m) was originally pencilled in for a spot in the Scout Picks XI but with his wife due to give birth any day now, we’ve instead opted to play it safe with the selection of Dango Ouattara (£5.1m)."

Shoudl have gone Dango. Aargh at least I have a strong bench.

3FT with 1.3ITB and all chips minus TC available what would you do with this lot?

    Raya
    Gabriel, Zabarnyi, Konate
    Salah, Palmer, Rogers, Mbuemo
    Wood, Isak, Gakpo

    Fab, Mykolenko, Sar, Hall

Planning to move Slot > Arteta next week to use my FT. Is it worth taking a -4 this week to upgrade Sarr to Rogers/Dango/Trossard with one eye on BGW29 where I'm not using FH?

    Slot
    Pickford
    Gabriel - TAA - Munoz - Milenkovic
    Salah - Palmer - Kluivert
    Isak - Wood - Wissa

    Dubravka - Amad - Sarr - O'Shea

Bring in Kerkez to play for either Munoz/Robinson, or Gordon (maybe even Palmer at this stage) to Kluivert/Dango?

Wither for -4, both for -8, or just go for a walk?

      depends on relative injury status.

If Gakpo confirmed out then makes sense, possibly even worth a hit

Villa lots of attacking options feeding him and will need to outscore teams given woeful defence (says a season ticket holder!)

What would you do here with 0.5ITB and 1FT? AM available.

    Pickford
    TAA/Gab/Munoz
    Salah/Palmer/Mbeumo/Kluivert/Rogers
    Isak/Gakpo

    Fab/Wood/Hall/Greaves
